The germantown location for aquatics has left a bad taste with me. Every fish I’ve purchased from there died within a few hours. I take my water for testing BEFORE I get anything new but test frequently at home. My tank was already established and the water was fine but of course dead fish causes ammonia spikes. They tried to tell me the ammonia was what killed them, yet there was zero traces until they died. I actually at that point bought pre-condition water they recommended because I had other fish that couldn’t live in a bucket. When I told the lady we bought their water after their fish tainted our tank, she back tracked because she made it seem like they died because I didn’t cycle my tank when I showed her the water I bought from them per the other lady’s advice because it’s ready for instant addition of fish. I was told that it was more than likely the fish because the water checked out great. No other fish has passed, just the ones I’ve gotten from that location. They also tell you not to add too many fish, yet have a million in each of their tanks.

I felt the need to leave a review just stating how impressed I am with this specific petsmart to the point it’s the only pet store I will go to. And let me tell you why: the animal care staff here truly cares. Their animals always seem happy and healthy and if they aren’t staff takes action to make the animals in the best situation they can. Staff always seems happy, friendly, customer service is great. They partner with shelters to help get dogs adopted, and so a lot for the community. I really respect this iconic petsmart and wanted to say to the staff your work doesn’t go unnoticed by us animal lovers. Keep it up!

I recently decided to choose Petsmart as my premier destination for my dog's first nail trim. I had many reservations about which grooming service location I should choose from in the area. I wanted the best of the best. I initially called the grooming phone line and was told it was busy but to come in anyway. When I arrived, Zoe was very nice and warm. She instantly took care of my dog and handled her with care. She quickly finished her grooming and even let me know how well my dog did. I'd recommend anyone visit this location's grooming salon. Zoe was great and I hope everyone else has the same experience as I did.

Great selection, clean store, and very friendly staff. You can get pet products for cheaper online, but this place is great for anything you need in a pinch. Rewards program isn't a game changer but it's a nice bonus.

The store is clean, the puppy training was great, but the grooming is inconsistent. I usually come for a “Pawdicure Plus” more often than not half of the things advertised aren’t done, and it’s done by a part time teenager who is aloof. It’s a chaotic little room and most of the time people are rude. I suggest the store, but not the grooming salon. (My only great service has been done by Raj, shes lovely)

I must say this is my favorite pet smart around the area! I’ve been coming here for my fishes and my giant day Geico and now since I became a dog mom I come here for my puppy too!! Lol.Everyone is always so helpful and willing to assist you very quickly. The associates are always so engaged in trying to get to know your pet and greeting not only you but them too.I wanted to specifically give a HUGE shoutout to CASSANDRA! She is AWESOME! She is super helpful and knowledgeable. She first saw Bruno when he was 2 months old and remembered him every time we would come in the store (He is now 9 months). We even join beginner training classes specifically because of Cas.We enjoy going to Kentlands PetSmart because we know we will have someone who is honest and someone who truly cares for the well being of our Bruno. We just want to say thank you from the bottom of our heart. We truly truly appreciate you! Especially the chicken lover Bruno :)

Didn't interact with any employees except the cashier who was nice but the store was very dingy, cluttered, and dirty. The building is not in good condition so it feels unwelcoming.

Had an appointment booked for my pets grooming which was confirmed by Petsmart via text. Reached there on time and was asked to wait as the groomer had not arrived. The staff there was helpful that they asked me to wait for 10 minutes and then suggested I go back and reschedule as he was unable to get in touch with the groomer. I was expecting the Manager to call back and explain the situation/ help resolve the issue and a complete waste of my time. No response from the manager. I guess they have enough business that they really don’t care about their customer service.

I generally go here to purchase aquarium supplies. During covid they have had the best selection of mystery snails compared to others in the area. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpfulSometimes the items are cheaper online but they will match the price in store so keep an eye out for that.The photo is of my new blue mystery snail

This location has the best employees and that has brought me back again and again. They are knowledgeable and kind. They NEVER seem angry or disgusted to be at work. They aren’t just professional, they’re friendly. I mainly buy crickets to feed our amphibians and they’re usually in stock and look healthier than some other places nearby that sell them.

Usually the grooming staff is great, but today the guy trimming my dogs nails was terrible. He claimed he could not keep him on the table. My dog has been here may times and never had a problem. Now I have to go some where else.

I called the store to see if they had a particular type of prescription cat food in stocks. They did so, I ask clerk to hold for me and I would be right In to pick up . It was waiting for me as I got to store and staff were extremely willing to expedite my sale so I could get on with my purchase and get home to my kitty waiting on his dinner. Thanks for a great experience at the Kentlands Petsmart.

I was having a rough week and my baby girl needed a new harness and leash. Jon saw me struggling to find a harness that would fit her (she's an English Bulldog, so it's always difficult to size her) and spent the time to help me adjust different harnesses to find what would work for us. Took our dog to the vet for nail trimming and they gave up because he got aggressive with them. Figured we’d try pet smart instead and glad we did. They got the nails trimmed without issue. Our hostess, Jasmine, was especially wonderful and took great care of us.

Window shopping. Clean store. Pleasant atmosphere. Fish tanks were in good shape. The parakeets were all very perky in a roomy enclosure with great enrichment toys. The bearded dragons were in a nice setup. I really liked the notice that was placed on the outside of the enclosures. The notice reminded customers to not let their dogs up too close as it could frighten the little creatures. Excellent selection of beta fish and very nice selection of small tanks for them. Very imaginative. I enjoyed my time just looking. There is a small area with cats/kittens for adoption.
