Loved working with Travis! Found his post on Facebook marketplace. He responded quickly, held the roof/bike racks for us to come up during the shop’s hours. He even helped us put them on.Very friendly, great spot, and just a solid guy!Not to mention great deals— in the shop and for our purchase ☺️We are glad to make the hike from Fredericksburg, VA to Maryland to know Travis will take care of us & our bicycle needs!!

There is a bike shop closer to my home than Just Ride Along Bicycle Shop, but I drive the extra miles to JRABS because I always get service and attention that is just fault-free. For example, I wanted a new bike, and the first two bikes I tried at JRABS last week didn't fit quite right. Travis (owner) ordered another one in a different size, assembled it, texted me that it was ready, and BOOM … it was the perfect fit. Travis listened to my requirements and made sure I was satisfied with my purchase.I've been very happy over the years with the maintenance work that Travis has done on my bike and I'm just as happy now with this new one.

I've had the good fortune of finding Travis and Just Riding Along Bikes several years ago. Since then, Travis has been my go-to for all things bikes. I have never met anyone as dedicated to exceptional customer service...regardless of whether or not you bought your bike from him.A recent example is related to the Shimano crank recall (which occurred in 2023, for those that won't see this review until later and don't understand the reference). After the recall was announced, little was known or understood about the safety concerns of these cranks - many of which existed on thousands of bikes around the US. Travis proactively sent an email to everyone on his mailing list to inform them of the recall, how to check to see if your cranks were among those needing replacement, and to bring them to him for inspection and replacement (at no expense to the customer). This was amazing, in my opinion. I will continue to default to Just Riding Along Bike Shop for no other reason than Travis' care about my bike-riding experience and making sure I have the right equipment for the best ride.I can't recommend this shop enough.

Brought Us Back to Life!I had no idea of the maintenance necessary to keep a bike up and running. My Son rides his bike more than I did when I was a kid…..and that’s a lot! A Flat Tire brought us here based on the reviews alone and I can see now why. His bike had some other concerns that Travis helped answer. He told us the what, the why, how long and how much upfront. Great service and results! Honest and reliable. Travis has done tune ups on all of my family’s bikes. He’s great about explaining the range of options to get a bike in shape to ride safely. This week he gave as much attention to getting my son’s rear wheel back into shape, a job that doesn’t make much money for him, as he had rehabbing a bike that needed a ton of work. Travis helped me identify a part I needed, and even pointed me toward another shop when he didn’t have it in stock.

Travis is extremely knowledgeable and technically adept at what he does. I’m impressed by his attention to detail when preparing my bike for delivery. He was also extraordinarily patient and kind while teaching me to use the new bike rack he installed. I was a little overwhelmed but he talked me through everything and made sure I understood. He also took care to be sure I felt comfortable asking questions and to bring the bike in for tuneup as necessary.

Travis did a superb job rehabbing my husband’s old road bike…… and it needed a lot of work! Travis and his staff have also worked on my old road bike to keep it in great running order. We are so appreciative that there is a great bicycle shop like this in our community but honestly, I would drive from far away to give them my business. We find Travis and his work to be the best quality, very honest to deal with, and reliable. I think he could fix any issue that would ever come up on a bicycle. Highly recommend.

Just Riding Along Bicycle Shop is Travis' place and he does the work on the bikes. If you need repairs, no matter the problem, he accurately diagnoses it and repairs it properly. The shop also sells a variety of cycling gear and other stuff if you're looking for accessories. Not only is Travis a great mechanic, he's a great human being too.

I have nothing but nice things to say about this shop. I recently bought a new bike from JRABS. It was a slightly used Bianchi that I got for a pretty good deal. Travis has been incredibly helpful getting everything tweaked, adjusted, and whatnot. He’s also been very responsive to inquires. I even forgot a part at the shop that he shipped directly to my address. Great bike shop.

Excellent bike shop. Travis and his small team are great mechanics, experienced cyclists, and very knowledgeable. The shop is frequented by experienced cyclists, but is also suitable for a newbie seeking sound advice on how to get started on a quality bike that meets their budget. Travis maintains my road bike and recently outfitted me with a new commuter complete with just the right mix of accessories. Communication and service are top-notch and friendly. The store vibe feels like a friendly little hub for cyclists of all experience levels.

I could write a long review detailing the numerous times Travis (and Ethan) have acted with the utmost skill, professionalism and integrity. I bought my current Bianchi Infinito there. And have had nothing but great experiences since.Travis goes out of the way to fix / deal with any problems you might have on the bike. For me it has been a whole series of things that needed work over the years of hard riding my Bianchi ; electronic shifter battery failure, master brake cylinder replacement, and every single time he did everything possible to get parts that were covered under warranty instead of trying to charge me for new parts as the go-to position.Then, when I wanted to upgrade to new high-end carbon wheels, he went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed and was satisfied.They very knowledgable and turn all the service around in really fast order!I can't recommend Travis and Just Riding Along Bike Shop in Laytonsville enough for your new bike at any end of the spectrum and all service!

I have an older bike that i hadn’t ridden in about 4 years that needed a serious tune up. Travis explained everything carefully and made some reasonable recommendations. Exceptional service from Travis and the team at JRABS. I didn't get his name, but I also want to thank the person who built the bike who also helped me choose pedals. Not only did they have the exact bike in stock, they were able to build it and have it ready for pick-up the same day. Being a newbie, Travis gave me some great pointers on maintaining the bike and repairing/changing a flat. He made sure I had all the accessories I needed, that the seat was at the proper height, and even put the bike in my car for me. Experiences like this are rare these days; I don't think I'll ever buy a bike from anywhere else. This is absolutely the place to go to buy or service your bike!

While packing for my move from Maryland to Denver, I realized I couldn't take my bike with me and would need to ship it. JRABS to the rescue! I had a shipping label and simply had to bring it and my bike to the shop. JRABS provided the box and packing materials. The staff was very communicative, friendly, and helpful throughout the process. They answered my questions and let me know when the bike shipped. My bike arrived in excellent condition. I highly recommend JRABS and their services.
