Staff are not friendly and they don't want to be fair with you. I got a Mikasa set and found a broken bow! inside. I went to the store the next day, they told me since they don't have any sets in the store at that moment, I can't get any replacement and I have to go to Costco in Frederick, which is more than 30min drive away, to return the whole set and get a new set. How am I supposed to fit everything back to the box and safely transport them to Frederick? I've been shopping at Costco for more than 4 years and I always loved it. I'm very disappointed at the staff at this location.................................................................................................................................................................

This has to be the worst location for a Costco. The parking garage is an absolute stressful experience that is enough to make you want to avoid shopping here. This Costco had no food samples. Even trying to get food at the food court was stressful because of how disorganized it was and so little space to wait. Sam’s Club and BJ’s are much better in my opinion.

Love this place! Cozy and a little art deco. It was my weekly happy hour spot. Until I realized my patronage was not appreciated. The drinks are great. The veggie platter is so delicious and fresh. Brussel sprouts are also good.

Costco has always been a favourite place- it’s an emotion. This is another Costco, well- no this location DOES NOT HAVE GASOLINE! Otherwise, it’s super organised and well stocked store. You will find find good stuff in Costco in cheap price. Nobody can beat the price of Costco.

It's Costco. Staff is friendly and helpful if you can find them. Great for bulk purchases. Most is cheaper than grocery stores, but some items are cheaper on sale at your local store. Food Court has good food at reasonable prices. 😋

Avoid the optical department in this store. My wife and I have gone there 4 times in the last month to order and get new glasses. Each time we came to the opening of the store and all 4 times there was only one same employee in the optical department. She was nice and polite, but we had to stand and wait in line for 10, 15 or more minutes each time. The second employee was always at least 10-15 minutes late. We arrived last time at 10:09 am and stood in line for almost 20 minutes just to pick up our glasses. When we left around 10:30 am, the second employee still hadn't shown up and there was a line of 10 people waiting.

Easily the worst Costco I've ever been to. All the people are fantastic and they do the best they can, but it's the worst facility and location possible. Nonstandard layout shoehorned into what feels like an old Home Depot, with too-narrow aisles, a Trader Joe's scale parking lot, and no gas.

Very busy, as usual for this Costco. The lines go very fast. I was dropping off my elderly passenger close to the entrance. Before we could get the car door open, a greeter appeared with a cart and a smile!

This one star review is for the optical department.Very long wait. No queuing ticket system. I tried to ask staff for instructions reagrding how to line up and was ignored. Staff are not helpful at all. They are essentially avoiding eye contact with customers looking for assistance. Eventually took me over 20 minutes just to talk to a staff, who couldn't give me a precise price quote for prescription glasses just because "it was hard for me to go back and forth in the system". Ridiculous. Avoid if you can.On the same day, I went to another Costco Optical nearby. The staff in that place is way more friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and was able to give me a price quote right away. Optical staff in Gaithersburg location really needs more training on customer service. (Or maybe they are just trying to drive customers away by not doing their job? Who knows?)

As with all Costcos, great selection of items at affordable prices and despite the amount of traffic in the store, they get you checked out quickly.I have been to a few other Costcos, including a few in Ohio where we moved from, and one in Northern VA. This is nothing against this Costco store itself or the employees, but one thing I noticed here is that it is noticeably more crowded and shoppers will randomly leave their carts in narrow lanes at diagonal angles. If I need to leave my cart to pick up a few items in a crowded area, I will make sure to leave my cart in a less crowded area and in a straight direction so people will be able to get around me. It seems like every time I come here, I experience numerous times where someone blocks traffic completely or creates a small bottleneck with their parked cart.For example in the snack section there is enough for 2 lanes of carts to get through. Despite this, someone will park their cart diagonally so literally no one can get through until they come back. As with all grocery stores that are super busy, you will see oblivious people doing this from time to time, but I feel like it happens especially frequently here. I wish something could be done about this.

A complete one store for your living. The complete wholesale store. What not you get here. Such a big crowded wholesale store. I love the products they have which always have some discount. And the quality is also very good. Very big parking space and over the weekends you hardly get any space. Thanksgiving is just over and still they have some deals open. Christmas is coming and they are having a bunch of deals for Christmas trees , lights and ornaments. Always love to shop in Costco.A very good WALKING SPACE too during winter 😂😂😂😜😜😜😜 Do miles of walking inside and start your shopping to add the weight you lost 😁😁😁

Probably the worst Costco in the world but still tolerable. Incredibly crowded nearly all the time. Doesn't have as much selection of products as some Costco stores. For example, fewer varieties of cheese are stocked at this Costco than at other Costco stores in the greater DC area.Beggars roam the parking lot but they are easily shooed away.The battery and tire department has been chronically understaffed for decades so service is very slow. Even checking in can take 20 to 30 minutes and then another 20 to 30 minutes to check out. But with so much competition in tires nowadays, tires are no longer a great deal at Costco anyway. However, Costco probably has the best prices in the USA for car batteries.

I just joined this club. I have never-before encountered more rude, nasty, surly, and gross employees. The guy moving all of the shopping carts hocked-up and spit out the grossest loogie right next to me as I was walking in from the parking lot. And speaking of the parking lot, possibly the worst parking lot in the world.Pricing? Eh, it's basically the same as other stores' sale prices.Slice of pizza for two bucks is decent.What a waste of sixty bucks.

This review is for the food pick up! Obviously we all know that pizza can take time to make.. so as patiently waiting, 20 mins had passed and numbers were started calling! the gentleman, working in the pizza area, hispanic named Alexander guy with name tag as of 9/24/23 at 4:30pm, also has tattoo on his left arm, started calling out numbers fast our order numbers mins was 581, so as i approached him and asked about my order, he ignored me and assumed that he didn't hear me considering that i was in front of him! Started calling numbers Again skipped my orders! Thank god the guy named Nameka was very nice! he started helping me with no complains! He just asked me what else i needed! while the other guy was ignoring not just me but also the people behind me with the same order i had.!

Sometimes we go 20 minutes further to the Frederick Costco instead of Gaithersburg because of definitely being the worst parking lot even before construction and the busiest. Organization of lines for food service and checkout is always a problem at Costco but since this place is so busy all the time you tend to see a verbal fight or two every time you go. Sometimes entertaining.

No gas. Terrible multi-level parking setup with no elevators. Shopping carts + stairs? Customers have to park on the store level and there aren’t enough spaces. Cashier mixed up transactions even though we put down the divider then angrily blamed us for her mistake. Wasted a bunch of time getting it straightened out and no apology as she tried to throw us under the bus with her manager. Manager wasn’t listening as she was busy chatting with 2 other employees while customers waited. The priority was 100% her casual conversation.

My experience was great! Ordered a ton of pies through the bakery. When I went to pick up the pies, they were all accounted for. General manager, Kerry was great. He helped wheel the pies out to my car. Huge help!

Man do we love Costco day! And even though they were slammed with customers all of the associates were kind and able to help wherever needed. My daughter loves the samples and today we opted for the Ghirardelli minis which were absolutely a treat . Checkout was so fast I didn't even realize I was done. Thank you!

We usually choose to go to this busy Costco warehouse location week days, only if there’s special deal we cannot miss, due to the volume and crowded parking. Happy with the 35lbs dog food bag we choose today $35 in the store, vs $50 online and ship to your home. After reading dog food bag labels, no major differences identified among products. “*Not recognized as an essential nutrient by the AAFCO dog food nutrient profiles” lability waivers are standard on Kirkland& non-Kirkland brands. Aside from dog food, add some freshly cooked meats, grains & veggies are necessary for the little pal at home. We got the red bag, Turkey& sweet potato formula.

The manager was rude not only to us but to the cashier. The cashier and bagger were nice and respectful. The bagger gave us advice for the next time we come. However, I do know that I will make sure to avoid wherever that rude manager is.

Sells a lot of items in bulk at a cheaper price! Not everything is going to be cheaper than other markets, though, so make sure to compare prices!Parking lots is pretty much always filled with cars, and inside the store is always full of people, but that's just how these kinds of places are.My one gripe with Cotsco (or at least this one) is when they remove some specific product that I usually buy, such as Monster Zero and Fiji water.Today, I also wanted to buy some small seaweed packs in bulk, but I guess I didn't come at the right day? I checked the usual spot, and there weren't any. But when I looked up, I saw them all the way at the top... I don't really understand how they cycle through their products, I guess I was just unlucky.They usually do food samples for food that is in discount, very worth trying! I actually tried impossble burgers for the first time there, and I bought 2 packs!I haven't tried the food that they make there, but it's very cheap, so it should be worth the price at the very least.

In a bout 6 years we buy everything we need from Costco, Including Halal Foods in all Events. Almost recently they change the food spots and I could not Find any Halal products for Thanksgiving ( Turkey, Salami, Hotdogs) a few ones in a broken box next to cheese!! Seems Muslim food is not Available enough. They have a new Trick to sell more than before, Nothing changed to be better!

I visited this Costco Tire Center today Morning (122723)at 8.30 AM to get a walkin appointment for flat tire at 9 AM (Store opens at 9 AM). There are bunch of customers standing outside of the center in cold weather. After all of us waiting there for 45 minutes they announced that they are not accepting Walk In appointemnts. This is very ridiculous because they should have announced that there are no walk ins when we were all standing outside.By the way I visited on 122623 to check on the process to get flat tire repaired ,their staff member told me visit the store early in the morning to get a walkin appointment. Apart from this they are very slow at the counter.I request Costco Management to address this issue and provide better customer service.
