I’ve taken my anxious dog in twice & also took in my cat who’s never had any grooming experience. They did a wonderful job with both! Both my dog & cat’s fur were so soft and they smelled great. They really care for the pets and are decently priced. The staff here have been friendly. The groomers and whoever answers the phone are always so nice and polite. My dog and cat have come back from grooming sessions with no problems or difficulty. I just wish they also took card!

An amazing experience for our good girl!The prices are more than reasonable, the groomer (I didn't catch her name) was incredibly sweet and had our pretty girl coming out beautiful!Honestly went above and beyond, we'll absolutely be back when it's time for another groom!

My two dogs Rigley and Dexter have been groomed here multiple times and I have been pleased with each visit. It's also nice to see my pups getting excitedwhen we get there it makes me feel good knowing they are so comfortable there. Everyone is always pleasant and accommodating. Will definitely continue here with my pups!!

Our anxious boy had a great time getting his nails clipped here! It was super fast and everyone was so nice. I would definitely recommend them, especially if your dog gets anxious about getting their nails clipped!

Had a wonderful experience. Called and got an express appointment to have my long haired chihuahua cut short due to his constant heat exhaustion. When we arrived they took him in and placed him in the puppy pen because he was a bit nervous(only his second grooming experience) When I came back to get him they told me that he did really well and was able to be out with the other pups! This was a great experience for him.They do allow dogs to free roam which some people may not be okay with but I absolutely loved it. Yes, there is hair everywhere, its a grooming salon... I work at a vet resort and can tell you that that is normal to see in many places. The only thing I do recommend is telling new customers that it is cash or check only. I didn't know until I arrived but it was not a big deal for me to run to an ATM while I was out waiting for him to be groomed.Overall, I am super happy with my choice to try out Sittin Pretty and cannot wait for Arty to be a regular pupper for them.

I had my dog Maxey in there today for bath and cut . I've been happy with your service - one time a few months ago, hair under his chin was not trimmed, looked dirty. His mane was long in one side short on other. His nose/face didn't look trimmed, his eyebrows were not even, one longer than other. And on his chest is a red mark looks like trimmer got to close. When I showed up, after the four hours, his feet weren't trimmed and was told to come back another day for that. His nails weren't trimmed. And all I heard was 'he bit me" apparently you hurt him! I'm not sure what to think. I was also charged $65 and they charged $60 last time. His dew claws were not cut and I'll have to take him and have them done properly.His front legs are butchered. Some long hairs and some deep cuts. I want my money back. I had to trim him last night as I saw the mistakes or lack of professionalism.

They are so wonderful!! It was my Husky's first experience at a groomers and she did so well!! She made her extra soft and shinny, and she was very excited to see me!! I will always come here!

Best pet groomers I have ever had! They always groom my puppy Bella perfectly. She’s poodle bichon mix and no hair is ever out of place once they’re done with her. They are so nice to all the dogs. My puppy gets so excited when we pull up so I know they treat the dogs well even after I’ve dropped off. I highly highly recommend Sittin Pretty to everyone in the surrounding area . !!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love this place. They are so kind and treat our pups with love and care. They are a cage free place so you know your pup will not be locked up crying. They were also accommodating when I had my dachshund in kennel restriction per vet instructions. I called ahead of time and they made sure he was kept inside safe per my instructions. Also, there prices are really reasonable!

Great place! Being new in town, I was having trouble finding a caring place to have my elderly dog's nails trimmed. Every vet office wanted her to see a doctor first and that was several weeks out. I called up and Sittin' Pretty got me in same day. They were super nice and very careful!

This place is a grooming gem in Hagerstown/Funkstown area. They did a great job with my dog who can be challenging. The grooming was excellent and they were great to interact with. I highly recommend!

Booked to get our dog groomed as we couldn't reach our usual groomer. This place is absolutely filthy. You can't be with your dog during the process. Who would take their dog here? They don't clean up. Dogs are running freely which if your dog isn't socialized and something happens, it's a huge liability. We walked in and walked right back out and left. No way I'd spend time here let alone my dog.

We had a first appointment set up to get our girls nails trimmed that we booked via phone. When we arrived there was a sign on the door that stated credit cards weren't accepted. No one told us this information when we booked the appointment. What awful customer service. We went inside anyway to reschedule as we did not have cash & were disgusted! This place is filthy!We felt uncomfortable trusting this establishment withour dogs, so they won't get the chance to groom them. We walked out.

I love this place. and most important my dog loves it.. she is treated so well with the soft comfy beds and all the love she gets. and always looks like a million bucks when I pick her up.. the shop is always clean and the staff is always so welcoming I would never take my baby anywhere else. she is always so happy when I tell her we are going to get a hair cut. she drags me through the door just to get in there.

I took my girl Annie in for an overdue grooming. They were booked but Natasha called me when someone did not show up. Place was easy to find and there was ample parking.Natasha was so sweet and friendly, and kept me updated during the grooming to let me know Annie was doing good, and again when Annie was ready.I was completely blown away by how amazing Annie looked! She had never had such a perfect grooming result since I rescued her 5 years ago! It's been almost 5 days and she still smells great!Natasha and her team did an amazing job. I'm so happy to have found them and I will only go to them from now on!

I took my Chow/Lab mix there today to get groomed. It was only his second time going somewhere to get groomed so we were pretty nervous about how things might turn out. We used to take our dogs to "Pet-something or another" but as I get older I like the idea of supporting small local businesses. The reviews online were mostly good and being in business for 20 years, you're bound to have some unhappy customers, so we gave it a shot. I couldn't be happier we took the chance. Some reviews talked about how dirty the place was. No. It isn't dirty. The building is obviously an older building, and they don't cage the animals so they feel like it's more of a playdate than a jail sentence. I saw some reviews saying that their dogs got butchered.. please keep in mind that sometimes you just can't please everyone because my dog has long hair and it starts to get matted in some places. He has hair that comes out of his toes and his tail is like a fan. His haircut is immaculate and the shaving underneath is stellar. His paws and tail look like they actually grew that way and they don't look "cut" at all. His hair is soft like when he was a puppy and he smells so good.I don't write reviews but I had to let everyone know just how happy my son and I are with his new haircut. Not only was the cut totally on point, they were absolutely amazing people there as well. I love great customer service and they were spot on. I felt welcomed and I knew they were going to be good to my dog for the time they were going to have him. I recommend taking your animals here to get groomed. Without a doubt a great place.

This was our third groomer since the first groomer closed her shop. Lyssa listened to my husband's request of the cut on our dog. She looks great. We will schedule another appt when she needs a cut again.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this pet groomer. I have been a loyal and enthusiastic customer for many years, driving up from Baltimore to use their services. Don't let the unassuming atmosphere fool you. Chris and her staff are caring professionals. They were so good with my two aging Cavaliers, and now that the boys are gone and my rescue Cavalier, Heather, has taken their place, they continue to provide a professional and caring environment for her. Rather than keeping her in a cage while waiting for her turn or following her grooming, Heather has the freedom to wander the area and interact with the other friendly dogs. Since she is a puppy mill rescue and quite submissive and shy, the cage-free environment means her experience is less stressful. I wouldn't travel an hour each way for most services, but Sittin Pretty is the exception. I don't think you could find a better grooming experience, regardless of what breed your dog is.

I've been going to Sittin Pretty for over 20 years with Yorkies and Himalayan cats. Chris the owner is a fine lady and animal lover, she raises horses and in my opinion is the best groomer in Washington County. Her staff includes her daughter and another young lady, they are all very friendly, knowledgeable and very good at there jobs, definitely a 5 star establishment.

EXCELLENT GROOMING SHOP! By far the best in the area! I took my newfoundland there recently. He was so happy to be there, and also when he got home! He looked gorgeous, was clean, soft, and looked perfect. The staff was wonderful to deal with, and truly did treat him with patience, kindness and love!

I wouldn't take my animal here. They totally butchered my friends poodle & the place was pretty nasty. She & I both posted a review on fb & after the owner posted lie after lie, she took down our reviews & blocked us. She admitted to us when we were there that her groomer botched the job but online she tried to blame the dog. Believe me, my friends dog is the most laid back dog I've ever seen. He's never had to even be tethered to the table. The owner gave her back half the grooming fee but it should have been totally free it was so bad. He was so butchered there's no way it could be fixed. They chopped his beautiful long ears literally in half. The poor dog looked stupid. Don't let the high rating of this groomer fool you because she takes down any negative posts, at least she does on fb. I don't have a dog right now but there's NO WAY I would EVER take my dog there. The worst thing about her is that instead of owning up to the botched job & apologizing, she told lie after lie & blamed the dog. She also posted on fb that I told her I'd been using her for years & it wasn't until my friend had an issue with her dog that I gave her a bad review. That was a TOTAL lie. I never knew her salon even existed before that day & I haven't had a dog since mine passed away in 2011. If I had been a customer of hers for years, why would I have to tell her that? Wouldn't she know me? OMG, REDICULOUS! I also have to add that her dog came home injured. I have 15 cats. I'll NEVER take my babies there. If I ever step foot in that place again it would be too soon.
