Was craving for eggs and bacon, so tried this one on a whim. Clean, inviting look.Lori is a very good waitress. As I ordered Toasted rye and egg bacon sandwich, the bread came Not toasted, so she offered to bring a new sandwich. I already started eating so didn't want to waste food. So she offered to bring toasted bread instead.I liked that.They have lots of items in the menu, maybe I will try some more in my next visit.

This is an amazing deli and restaurant! Easy parking, great location, very clean, with friendly and welcoming staff. The menu is out of this world. Great mix of popular classics and things I have not seen available anywhere else. There are so many things I still want to try here. They have large portions here, and on a recent trip three meals was plenty for our family of four and everyone left happy.Kid-friendliness: Staff is super friendly and the area is open and there's no expectation of being quiet. I would feel comfortable bringing kids of any ages. Only thing to remember is to keep kids from touching the glass display cases.

Mikey & Mel's is my go-to pitstop in the morning for a breakfast sandwich of Turkey Bacon, Egg and Cheese on a Kaiser roll. Their Chicken noodle soup is full of carrots and chicken and not salty! The staff are always friendly, professional and kind to every single customer anytime I am here. Their very welcoming and nice. Their service is absolutely fantastic and this is how a restaurant should be run!! In the summer, there is outdoor seating. 😁 Prices are not dirt cheap which tells me their staff quality and food quality are higher. I like that! I don't mind paying for quality service and good food.This is a great NY style Deli!!!

Enjoyed my pastrami in a pleasant atmosphere. It's good to have in maple lawn and i would return, although it's not quite a new york deli. The potato lake is not traditional- more of a potato pancake or perhaps it's made in a food processor - there no grated potato. Meat is thin sliced if that's your style and there's plenty... not sure if it made in house. Service was 20 minutes before anything appeared on the table so a bit on the slow side. I am glad they are nearby.

My wife and I went there for my birthday lunch and had a fantastic, first-time experience!  I grew up in New York and, while maybe not an expert, I do think that I know what makes a good quality deli!  in the spirit of putting the bottom line up front, this place is fantastic!!We were immediately greeted by a friendly staff (Minnie) who was also our server and by the manager, Kevin.  Minnie was attentive and helpful in going through the options on the menu. She helped us figure out what to order based on the types of deli meat that we like.  While the sandwiches were being made, I had the opportunity to visit the pickle bar and take a look at all the awesome items in the desert case.  I am a pickle lover and it is awesome having the availability of a pickle bar at my fingertips to go on the side or, on top, of the sandwich – nice touch.The sandwiches were perfectly prepared and there was enough on the plate to easily last for another meal (by the way, they reheat quite well or you can just eat it cold). We both ordered pastrami, corned beef, and brisket and can say that it is really good!  There are plenty of sandwiches available on the menu but you can certainly create one that suits your palate if you don't necessarily fancy any of the items listed.  The house-made chips are excellent, the coleslaw is great, and the potato latke was delicious.  We did have the opportunity to sample one of the desserts (the black and white cookie) and can say that they taste just as good as they look - fantastic!This restaurant is a place that you would want to bring your friends and family to visit because I think everyone can find something they’d like. Also, there is plenty of seating available, so if you’re not in a hurry, I do suggest staying to enjoy your meal on-site (plus that way, you can enjoy more of the pickle bar!).Of course, the food is quite tasty, but one of the best things about an excellent deli is not just the food, it’s the people. Everyone was friendly and welcoming - exactly how I was made to feel.  All in all, everything was quite tasty and I will most certainly go back (in fact we plan to very soon). I am giving this a 5-star rating and recommend this place for sure. I can’t wait to try out more items on the menu.

Randomly stumbled upon this place and I am so happy I did. I was born and raised in New York and these sandwiches are definitely NY style! Came in during lunch time and they were SUPER busy so I’d recommend getting your order to go if you’re in a rush for lunch.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bagels and bread available

Great experience, the service was friendly, the food was great, and it was very clean. It seemed like all the employees took some pride in how good everything was, which was nice to see. most importantly food was good, we did brunch tried a few categories of the menu and pricing was all reasonable. Looking forward to going back, would recommend challah French toast!

We've been coming to Mikey and Mel's since earlier this year for their monthly car cruise event. If you haven't checked it out yet, it's one of the BEST car shows with a huge variety of old, new, modified and original vehicles.The deli itself is always packed, which is a great sign! We usually grab coffees, bagel and egg sandwiches and a treat (try the raspberry tower, it's delicious). Prices are perfectly in line with the quality and portions are generous.I gave it four stars because the staff, at times, don't seem to be the most friendly. This could be from the extra busy atmosphere or maybe we've interacted with them after they had negative customers, but we aren't bothered enough by that to let it affect us supporting the deli each time we attend the car show. The owner is great - he re-made a cappuccino for me that was 2/3 foam and was very apologetic, which was appreciated and he was very nice.Overall, great deli, delicious food and lots of options!

Had lunch here as a party of eight. Overall good food. Pastrami and Munster omelette was prepared well and of good size, the latke was too greasy to eat and the everything bagel was a few days past fresh. The one server working that morning did struggle a bit. I really liked the pickle bar! I took rugelach and spinach and meat knishs home. The meat knish was great.

The 4 stars are due to Managers on duty.This is our 2 nd visit driving from Frederick. (Far)The server, Is excellent!I was disappointed that today being New Years Day managers passed by our table frequently and never once made eye contact or even said hello.So that is why it’s a 4 star to me.It was not busy at the time we were there.The first time we ate here which was a few days prior, it was the same issue with management.We did purchase bakery items this morning and the young man was super friendly.

Great place for breakfast! I picked up the veggie omelet with home fries, no toast. My SO picked the egg and Swiss on an everything bagel. Our buddy picked up the egg, sausage, and American cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel. Delish!

I had placed an order for pickup and it was two bagels, a very simple order. I had gone in and told the guy at the counter my name and he went to go look for the order and I watched him look at my bag and walk past it. Another guy asked me if I needed help and I told them I was waiting for my food. Multiple people came up to me and asked me my name and I told them and watched my bag just sit on the counter and finally they gave it to me which was 8 minutes after I stood at their door awkwardly without even being offered a seat. Very irritating. Plus the guy bagging the food was scoffing and looking mad as hell. Not a good environment and the service is so bad like pls just read the name of the order.

My husband and I dined in for brunch on a Friday. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly dark haired young lady that stood behind the "order here" counter on the left of the entrance, she sat us done real quick and gave us plastic menus. The place was not crowded at all for Friday's near lunch hour and stayed that why the entire time we were there, which we were completely fine to have on corner of the restaurant to ourselves. The waiter who took our order seemed kinda shy, not sure if he was new. The coffee was surprisingly fresh and bold, not watered down like most brunch places. We ordered the corned beef Benedict, french toast, and turkey, egg, & cheese bagel and we split their eclair. OMG! the food came in big portions and was absolutely delicious! Their house potatoes was seasoned really well and there was so much of it that we took a lot home to eat for breakfast the next day. The corned beef Benedict was served on this amazing potatoes pancake ,you would think would taste weird bc its not on bread, but it was just as delicious if not more bared with the egg and corned beef (which was soft and perfectly salty) and their light hollandaise sauce. My husband loved his bagel and their french toast. The eclair was pretty big and hands down the best we ever had, the cream filling was spread evenly from one end to the other so you get it in every bite along with the rich chocolate drizzle - mmm eclair galore! Overall, we very pleased with the ambiance, the service, and the food. We will be back to try their lunch sandwiches, but highly recommend this place for brunch. Come hungry!

Attention: if you buy baked goods at this deli, I suggest you take your business elsewhere. I had an issue with my purchase when I was overcharged for their baked goods, and when I addressed it with the manager, he said the prices for any of the baked goods are not listed anywhere and the employees there can answer my questions about what anything costs, just implying that they can pretty much charge you anything they want, and they do. Even if they overcharge each one of us by 1$, it adds up for them. I didn’t realize it’s a shady business like that and thought other people should know too.Before any questions arise, I did address it with the manager who wasn’t very helpful and sounded like he didn’t care about my money spent in that place.

I was going for a vaccination in an area I'd never been before and needed lunch after. Did a search and Mikey & Mel's Famous Deli came up. Well I like a great deli, so order I did. Soooo glad I did. They were wonderful from the call to the car, so sweet and accommodating. I even got a variety of pickles and who doesn't like a good pickle? So I've attached pictures, you can see how big the sandwiches are and taste better than my pictures...lol no really they were so good. I may be a 50 minute drive but I'll be back soon and often.

Amazing pastrami sandwich. One of the best I've ever had. Pickles were dynamite as well. Try the half-sour pickles. Large selection of baked goods made daily on site.Really impressed with the quality and service offered here and can't wait to go again.

We ordered a bunch of things and all were good. Pastrami in rye, jewish cheesesteak, burgers etc... You won't be able to eat it all in one sitting. Pricey for 5 people at $100 BUT enough for two meals. We would go again for sure.

Went about 3pm on a Saturday. Attentive service - I feel like every staff member checked on us at some point. While the regular Reuben was phenomenal, the Super Reuben Man was even better! For my Reuben fans out there - you know when the bread is barely toasted and gets soggy? Not here, my friend! It had a nice crisp to it with a buttery flavor and held up to the regular Reuben throughout the meal. The bread underneath the huge pile of meat in the Super Reuben Man stayed nice and crisp too! We ended up with a to go box full of Reuben yumminess. Next time, we will just split the Super Reuben Man! Make sure you stop by the desserts on the way out too!

Save your money. Eat somewhere else. Update (Mar4).... just posted a picture of the bread dolly I tripped over when entering Mikey and Mel's. I reported it to the young man bagging orders and his response was "You are that one special guy that would do that." I Iaughed because I thought he was joking. Returned about a week later and reported it again to a young lady. Her response "you are the first person to mention that." Returned again a few days later and the owner was there so, I advised him that I tripped over the bread dolly by the door and nearly ended up falling into the people sitting closest to the door. His response "that's my bread dolly; you are the only person that complains about that!" He became irate and went and moved it. I advised both him and the younger guy that I wouldn't be back. They both replied "that's fine with us." Well, I work for a delivery company and accepted an order today without looking where the pick up was at. Since I agreed to pick it up, I honored it. This time I was prepared and took a picture of the trip hazard that is continously placed by the door everyday after each bread delivery. I advised the young man that I accepted the order without looking so, I decided to honor it but, I wouldn't be back. His reply "good." In closing, avoid the South entrance to this business if you decide to eat here. Don't report the trip hazard, even if you do trip over it, they don't give a damn about your safety. I'm a Disabled Veteran with three rare Neurologic Diseases, I'm surprised I was able to stay erect after tripping over it. /If you insure this property, increase your rates; sooner or later some unlucky person will take a nasty fall. I've never met anyone so indignant after reporting a potentially dangerous situation and even harder to believe that someone running a business would treat a customer like this.

My partner and I were craving traditional Jewish deli food, and this place delivered. A bit pricey for a deli, but worth every penny as the portions are huge! Everything was delicious! The matzoh balls were nice and fluffy and the latkes nice and crispy. The tuna melt was one of the best I’ve ever had (get it on rye with munster cheese) but the true star was the Rueben french fries (pictured). The fries were well seasoned and crispy and topped with really good corned beef, lots of swiss, really really good sauerkraut and just the right amount of Russian dressing. Will definitely get a Rueben sandwich next time, but the Rueben fries were one of the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Pickle bar also great. The service was excellent, our waitress Holly was sweet, attentive, and funny. She gave great recommendations that I’m excited to try next time.

They had many big tables open, and we told them we did not need to sit together, that we could sit two or four or six we just wanted to eat hereThey I turned us away.Horrible host. Everyone should try Mikey & Mel's at least twice. Truly massive sandwiches, omelettes, pancake stacks and plates of hash (corned beef and beyond). They are doing a stellar job with pickup, delivery, and limited in-person dining, but they'll truly be a treasure when they can fully open and we get to find out _all the pickle varieties_ they offer on their pickle bar. I hope M&M lasts for decades so we can tell our grandkids that we remember it when.... 🥒 🥒 🥒

Being a regular customer who enjoys the food quality and welcoming staff, I am disappointed on how they dealt with my order coming out wrong (in a way that damaged the experience and grossed me out). I got big pieces of bacon mixed with my fries and I cannot eat pork. I didn’t realize it until over half way through my meal. When I reported it to my waiter and his manager saying it grosses me, the answer was simply that they will tell the kitchen to be careful. As a regular guest I expect better dealing with my complaint.
