I've heard great things about the desserts here and I finally was able to pop in to try them out. The whole atmosphere was coffee bar lounge and not dessert, so it seemed to be that the desserts were an afterthought instead of the focus of this establishment. They serve wine too if that's your thing. I took home an assortment of desserts. They score high points on decorations and presentation, but I place more emphasis on the actual taste and found these desserts to be just average. By all means they'll pair well with a coffee or wine while you're lounging, but I think the desserts are not on the same level as other bakeries in the area that focus just on the sugary goods.

It’s my first visit and definitely will not be the last. This place is so much fun with yummy beverages, freshly baked desserts, homemade Gelato and superb customer service. I had a large (16 oz) Authentic Italian Hot Chocolate. A staff later asked me if I wanted whip cream and marshmallows. It was so tasty!! Everyone behind the counter was super friendly and the operation was efficient despite the long line. Highly recommend it!

The cakes are flavorful and moist. The Lemon Bars are the perfect combination of tangy and sweet. The Pumpkin Bar has the perfect amount of fall spices, pumpkin flavor, cream cheese icing, and soft cakey goodness. The Gingerbread slices are rich and flavorful. The truffles are creamy and delicious. Awesome spot in Maple Lawn. Great to have an alternative coffee shop to Starbucks and Dunkin. Really brings the community together with fresh baked goods and even turns into a bar later in the day. Prices were as expected and the coffee was great. Ample space to work and hang, with a nice welcome feeling.

Note: I'm not looking for a refund or trying to be negative. I'm sorry but the place can be cleaner. I came in twice this week during non busy hours (closing on Wednesday and midday hours on Friday). This has been a problem every one of the four times I have visited. There are crumbs and dust on tables, crevices of the table legs, the floor in general, and window seals. It's like if you're eating and you look in the wrong place you sort of get disgusted. The place is nicely designed and a really chill look, but the employees are very loud while at work. I heard them more than the family sitting right next to me. I get it, they're young, but maybe it's best to have personal conversations and your snacks in the back and not on the floor or behind the counter. It's not rude, but a bit dismissive. The employees are pleasant though, don't get me wrong. It's just that if guest are the ones who have to wipe down tables maybe priorities need to be straightened and lobby cleanings should be delighted. Seeing food on the table when you come to sit down takes from the potentially cute and cozy experience. Today, my table was sticky and had crumbs on it. Also, the prices are pretty steep for what you get. The German chocolate cake only had a sliver of the coconut filling. It's like the best part. While the ingredients I'm sure were top notch, I just wish I could've actually tasted it. Also there was a bit too much foam in my cappuccino. It was like paying for air. Overall, it could be cleaner, quieter, and have more added quality.

Best bakery coffee shop in Howard County. All baked goods are baked in house and amazing. Great chai tea. We get their breakfast sandwiches all the time and they are the best. Donuts, cupcakes, it's all good! Great to have a locally owned shop that is so amazing.

Lori and the Decadent team did a phenomenal job on our custom order for wedding cakes in our wedding colors! They matched the color using the swatches I provided, and they turned out great! The cakes were also delicious as always. Thank you for your part in making our day perfect!

Decadent is our go-to for a sweet treat! Be it carrot cake, chocolate cake, a fancy donut, or apple turnovers -- they always deliver and hit the spot!We worked with them twice now for both our kid's birthday cakes (one Frozen and one dog themed). We couldn't be happier with the outcome and the process. All our guests were complimenting how delicious and moist the cake was. We'll look forward to working with them for more crowd pleasing desserts for special occasions and our everyday!Thanks so much Decadent for the amazingly memorable cakes!

Maybe it’s just me, but I was definitely not impressed. And I really wanted to be! Ordered a decadent chocolate birthday cake and it was so rich, it made me and my son feel sick. Also picked up a brownie with the cake—blah—and a latte which was the worst I ever had. Something was definitely missing—maybe the coffee??? I took a sip and threw away the rest. Spent $60 and will not be returning. (Plus, whoever heard of a bakery that sells liquor?)

Found this place because a friend wanted dessert! This location is super cute! I ordered the Egg Nog Latte, so yummy! So many options and family friendly. I’m already planning a second trip here! Clean and GREAT customer service.

I threw my sister a baby shower this past weekend and I asked (last minute) to see if they could do a custom order for cupcakes and they weren’t able to because they were booked with orders HOWEVER Lori was wonderful enough to ask the bakers to put flowers on some of the cupcakes they put out that day and they did! Everyone LOVED them. Huge hit. Also we have been here several times for breakfast and coffee. Both were excellent!

I’m eating this establishment a three because although food is good and help is friendly, I went there to work. I bought a sandwich and coffee and sat down to conduct some business on my laptop. After 15 minutes it still wouldn’t turn on. A gentleman walked up to me and asked if he could sit on the couch across from me. Then asked if my plug was working . He said he reported it to management weeks ago and was hoping it was working now.I moved, waited another 10 and still no charge. I asked management if any of their plugs were working and they told me they were all dead. That is just unacceptable. Non-working outlets and management that is aware and has done nothing in weeks to fix this speaks volumes. It’s lazy and it makes me wonder what other issues are not being addressed.

Great spot to grab sweet treats! I've tried a few cake flavors and liked most of them, though German chocolate is easily the best in my opinion, and my husband says the same about the pink lemonade one. Chocolate croissant warmed up was very good! I do wish they would have a rotation of cake flavors so it's easier to know, instead of waiting for the Facebook post, but in absence of a schedule the post works well. The people who work there are always very nice

Stumbled upon this place while working the other day. I must say I had difficulty deciding what I wanted to get. Everything looked amazing!Went ahead with a coconut bar. Not many places have coconut options, and everything was thick and chunky.Topped it off with a fresh brewed raspberry tea.

Lot's of places are rounded up 5 stars, but this is a true 5/5 gem; a must visit!! The service is amazing, staff take time to explain and review items - including coffee, hot chocolate (Irish as well), pastries, cupcakes, gelato, and of course, happy hour wine! *They're truffles are to die for!* They have super cute decor with a few couches and tables inside, and outdoor seating in the sun. If you debating making the trek, read this and go --> you won't be disappointed whatsoever and you'll soon be telling your friends to do the same!

This place is truly beautiful. Friendly staff and laid back ambiance. Modern, chic and stylish decor. Great place an afternoon get together with the girls, nice treat for the kids or an amazing way to end date night.It also helps that the Gelato is heaven. Went to have dessert with a friend and we were so excited to go. The reviews were high and the bar had received the best dessert in Howard County for the past 3 years! We were both so disappointed. My homemade cinnamon roll was very dry and the Hot Scotty was pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. I do have to applaud the staff, because they were prompt and very kind. They offered to give me another roll or let me choose something else and I chose the Strawberry Cream Cake which was moist and flavorful. However, my friend couldn't even bite into her chocolate truffle. I thought she was joking, but it was hard as a rock. Apparently they are shipped from somewhere else. Too many issues for one day. Sad to say it wasn't all that great.

Wow! I’m SO happy I chose this bakery to purchase my husband’s birthday cake! We had a large party of 22 friends at a restaurant in D.C. and bringing this 10" Decadent Chocolate cake was perfect for the occasion! Not only was the size perfect, but the cake tasted amazing! The ordering process was easy, I just called a week in advance and it was ready for pick up. Everyone was raving about this cake! We had plans to go out after dinner and didn’t have a large enough refrigerator in our hotel so we left the rest of the cake with the waitstaff. Needless to say, they were very happy we did! I highly recommend this place!

Definitely worth the drive through beautiful Maple Lawn for some oral pampering. Whether its a simple coffee or some delicious sweets, this is the place for you. You can even add some adult libations to your coffee while watching your kids overload on processed sugary sweets.

Too many flies!!!! Also, my husband, kids, and I came 30 minutes before closing for warm desserts and they informed us that they just turned the oven off so can’t serve those desserts. One employee was in the general area flipping her hair and tying it up in a knot. I think that’s best done in a break room, not around where food is being served. I use to enjoy this place but they need to do better.

We got a carrot cake from here for my partner’s birthday and it was AWESOME! So fluffy and flavorful, with the perfect amount of icing and generous covering with walnuts. He said it was the best cake he’d ever had; that means the best cake in over 50 years!

Paige and the team at Decadent went above and beyond to make an anniversary cake for my parents. They were super helpful in choosing flavors and design and coordinating everything over email/phone. The service is great and staff takes time with you to get it right. They have coffee, hot chocolate, pastries, doughnuts, cupcakes, gelato and wine. Few comfortable spots inside to sit and few tables outside which can have good sun for you depending on the time of the day.

Decadent Dessert Bar Maple Lawn has the best desserts hands down!! I picked up a slice of wedding cake, strawberries and cream, and cannoli cake (and an iced coffee for the tween)!! Everything is so yummy (my husband who doesn't like sweets was even impressed and enjoyed them). The owners and staff are all so welcoming and cheerful!! I was craving cake but they also offer homemade gelato, smoothies, shakes, cupcakes, brownies, pastries, donuts, breakfast options, alcoholic beverages, and much much more. You can also special order whole cakes, cupcakes, and cupcake activity sets for the kids. I highly recommend you stop by! This will become your go-to spot for some of the best desserts in the area!

Had high expectations for this place. But every dessert I got was crumbly, hard, and old tasting. I can barely get my fork through this brownie. The danish was so hard that it was barely chewable. The red velvet cookie was also hard too. Very disappointed. Not coming back.UPDATE: your nasty attitude explains your nasty desserts!! Work on your baking rather than stalking my reviews lol.
