I love The Dog Company the trainers are wonderful. All the staff are wonderful They are professional and very friendly. It is obvious that they really care about all the dogs. I take my dog for doggy daycare once a week and he loves it. He gets to play with otherdogs. I’ve had my dog there for boarding and they take such good care of him. I never have to worry about, my Buddy when he’s there. Thankyou to all the staff you’rewonderful and I love you all. If you love your dog as much as I love my Buddy then I recommend The Dog Company

When anyone sees a well trained dog they always say wow, that’s such a well behaved dog. What they don’t see is the hard work it takes to get there. Dogs and people love routine. When you first start training everything changes for you and your dog. It’s new for them and you. The staff at the Dog Company gives you and your dog, all the tools you need for success. But it doesn’t happen overnight, it takes commitment. My family made that commitment, we wanted great dogs that were well behaved. Yes it was hard, but with all of us working together we now have 2 dogs living their best life. Everywhere we go we always get comments that our dogs are so well mannered and behaved and I always tell them it was a lot of work. With the support and professionalism of everyone at the Dog Company, anyone can achieve a great dog. You only get what you put into it. The reward definitely outweighs the initial work. We love the Dog Company, and our dogs do as well!!

Marissa and team are super professional and great to work with. We are in week 2 of board and train and we are excited to see the progress this weekend. During this process I have realized the human needs just as much or more training than the dog 😆.

We adopted a 2 year old great pyreneese mix 2 years ago that had some training from its previous owners but we wanted to round her into form a bit and the ladies at The Dog Company were fantastic in not only helping Rey, but also helping us learn about our pup and how we can be better owners. They are very knowledgeable and offer tips and tricks to help with everything from grooming and basic commands to dietary needs and full on board and training. Whatever you are looking for The Dog Company will exceed your expectations!

We started our journey with The Dog Company some three months ago after a total foster fail with the Wicomico County Humane Society. Our hearts told us adoption was the route for us and our pup but having no recent experience with the breed or a puppy we approached the owner of The Dog Company for an assessment. She did some basic exercises with him and give us feedback on his demeanor and drive. We decided to enter our pup into The Dog Company's puppy program at about four months of age after spending a month with the Humane Society and another foster home before coming home. The puppy program consisted of daily daycare training (M-F, 8-5) with two one-on-one sessions with our pup and the trainer. We received an instructional guide upon enrollment and elected to have all two-legged household members participate in the one-on-one sessions to ensure we were all on the same page regarding behaviors and command language (Dog Co. provided these as well so we could reinforce the training at home). Upon "graduation" we were impressed with his consistent response to the basic commands promised to us with this service. We elected to continue our pup in their daycare program two or three days per week after "graduation" and appreciated that the owner and other trainer we had worked with demonstrated integrity in their recommendation to wait until at least six months age to move to the next level of training. I suppose a business that was more concerned with profit than the wellbeing/advancement of the pup would have gladly taken our money and continued us right on. Daycare has been such an awesome experience for us as pet owners - we don't have the guilt of leaving our pup unentertained for too long, we receive daily "report cards", and best of all - so many photos of our pup living his best life. Added a few adventure days to our daycare package for additional perks for our pup and leash practice and have been consistent in attending optional group classes every other Wednesday evening.Anyways, I say all of this to say we are now in month six and are excited to have just begun their Dog Program. We look forward to experiencing greater control and expanding our pup's skillset as well as ours as pup-people. It is my hope that this narrative illustrates the experience from start to continued growth with The Dog Co. The most meaningful positives we've experienced include: knowledgeable staff who are all clearly "dog people," flexible drop-off/pick-up window, a willingness to provide additional guidance and encouragement, online reservation/payment system, and Mr. Rowan (our pittie professional). *Photos courtesy of The Dog Co.

My six year old dog has had aggression issues since he was a puppy. With Marissa’s exceptional guidance and training, my dog has improved beyond expectations. He has become more obedient, less anxious, and less aggressive. Thank you The Dog Company and Marissa!

We went to The Dog Company for help with our Corgi. He’s a friendly boy, sometimes too friendly as he would just run up to other people and dogs. He would also seize the opportunity to slip out the front door any chance he got, and we’d have to chase him through the neighborhood with treats or cheese. He’s pretty hardheaded with a lot of energy, as most Corgi’s are, and would only listen to us when he felt like it or be too crazy around the house, out in public, etc.I was a little skeptical on training methods and tools at first. Especially with the back tie exercise, as it would take him awhile to stop barking or settle down. Not really what you want to deal with at the end of the day, but the more we practiced the less time it would take for him to settle down. That was probably our first light bulb moment where we could see the wheels turning in his head as he worked on calming himself down somewhere other than his crate. The trainer was very helpful and patient with us during our sessions and answering any questions that we had or if we got stuck on something at home. We plan to join in on their group classes to keep practicing. By the time he finished we were able to tell him down and not move until we said his release word, while he was outside! I was nervous and never thought I’d see the day!I have a different outlook on dog training now that I wasn’t expecting to gain. I had assumed that a dog is taught obedience and then they’re good to go but now I understand that it’s equal parts for us and our dog to keep practicing and utilizing training. I’ve always agreed with the “If you don’t use it, you lose it” mentality. I just never associated it to dogs as well!

The Dog Company has the best trainers and people. I took my goldendoodle puppy, Coleman, there for their "puppy boot camp". You can tell that everyone at the Dog Company loves animals because Coleman was excited everytime he went to his classes. After two weeks, he could sit, walk on his leash, go in his crate, place, come, and get down. Now, he is going there for doggy day care, which he also loves. I highly recommend the Dog Company to anyone for training and daycare.

My dog liked these people well enough, and was always happy when I picked him up, but showed no improvement. I was skeptical of them from the get go and rightfully so as it turns out. They spent the entire first week “building a foundation”—which meant teaching my dog to do things he already knew how to do and crating him and chaining him to a wall. At the first one on one I watched the woman walk my dog in a circle and try to get him to stand on something, and when she couldn’t, she told me to try, and he did it in seconds.Despite being really uncomfortable after learning all this, I followed all the instructions they gave me, with the exception that I had to miss the final one on one discussion after training was “completed”—but saw 0 improvement regardless. When I finally felt confident enough to voice my concerns (I felt incredibly pressured), they (namely the trainer Kelsey) were insanely rude and said if I’d kept the one meeting and used their ridiculously overpriced slip lead ($20 for a thing you can get on Amazon for $6) it would have all been different. They did nothing but blame me. An entire program should not hinge on a one to one meeting. They also accused me of not having my dog sit before I dropped him off, when I have always done that. Before we even started also told them I was concerned about some of the medieval methods listed in their policies, and was told “we’d have a conversation about any methods to be used.”That conversation didn’t happen, and then when they gave me reasons I “failed my dog” — they said it was partly because I was skeptical from the get go. Concern for my dog’s safety doesn’t seem like a “failure” to me.Their handlers seem to pick and choose who they give face to face updates to, who they send a lot of cute photos to, and otherwise you get a two line “report card.”My dog was handed off almost every day with a curt “have a nice day.” I am out $700 for nothing but to be insulted for voicing grievances. Do yourself a favor and find another company or just do it yourself. My dog has shown further improvement with me doing training alone then he did in the entire two weeks he was there.

Wow…. That’s all I have to say, wow….. the dog company down in Fruitland by Marissa. The Dog Company… sets the bar and expectations for dog training… if you expect anything less than perfection, then you need to find another trainer…. Never will I take any of my dogs anywhere else than Marissa and the girls of The Dog Company!

Let me start off by saying that there is not enough room in this recommendation box to say all the wonderful things I want to say about this company. I reached out to Marissa when I started noticing behavioral and obedient issues with my 2 year old boxer and mannnn I’m glad I did. Roland is truly a great dog and 90% of his flaws were because of me. As a puppy (him being my first may I add) everything he did was cute. The barking, the chewing, the excitement and jumping when I walked in the door. Yeaaaa, all that was fine until my tiny 11 lb dog turned into a 70 lb dog in what felt like overnight timeframe. Roland was getting worse and I was becoming more and more frustrated. I watched training videos, I reached out to a few people for advice, I felt like I tried everything but nothing was working. Marissa and Kelsey came into our lives and changed everything for the better. I knew from the first session things were about to get real and the games were over (sorry Roland haha) Over 6 weeks Roland and I learned so much. We both became more confident and learned a whole new level of respect for one another. Was it easy? Heck no but let me tell you when your dog reaches a particular milestone that you both worked hard for, it’s so rewarding. In 6 weeks I went from a tired, annoyed, frustrated boxer mom to a confident, no sh*t taking, PROUD boxer mom. Roland went above and beyond my expectations and it’s because of this company. The amount of time, knowledge, sweat and patience this place puts in to making what you want happen is beyond me. So if you’re like me and you’re feeling defeated call TODAY and make your appointment. I promise you will not be disappointed. Thanks again to Marissa, Kelsey, and the rest of the staff at The Dog Company. You guys are amazing at what you do and Roland and I appreciate all your time spent with us.

I have a 5 month old (at the time) Australian Shepherd. She spent 2 weeks in puppy class and I am so impressed with the progress she has made. The staff is very interested in helping you reach your training goals. It all starts with a well behaved pet, which includes training the owners on what to do, and what not to do! They also offer advanced training and day care! I know my puppy was happy to go every day, and will be happy to return again!

We can't say enough good things about Marissa, Kelsey, Brynae and everyone at The Dog Company. Everyone knew going in that our Dutch Shepherd mix Billie was going to be a training challenge - stubborn, willful, impulsive and all but uncontrollable in the house - and The Dog Company crew have worked wonders with her. Billie is still a work-in-progress, but she already is much more obedient and well-mannered than we ever thought she could be, as well as more calm, centered and comfortable in unfamiliar situations. And we certainly never thought we'd be able to take our wild child out without a leash, but her trainers got her there. Kelsey also has worked closely with my wife Linda to make her a more confident and knowledgeable handler, further helping to ensure Billie's long-term success. Training with The Dog Company has made Billie's life -- and our lives -- much, much better. It's been a lot of work for everyone, and there might be more work ahead, but Billie's definitely got the right team on her side.

We were so fortunate to find The Dog Company when Gunner came into our life. Gunner went for training and now attends doggy daycare on a weekly basis. During training, not only were the staff knowledgeable, kind, and caring but you could tell they loved their jobs! They gave us, the parents, the tools to take away to continue Gunner’s learning. As a part of his training we were able to understand how important it was to continue the training at home so that Gunner could be successful. Having this foundation has been invaluable. Gunner loves going to doggy daycare and we absolutely adore the staff and know that he is in fantastic hands.

Our dog has been attending daycare here since we was a young puppy and has loved it since day 1! We recently decided to go forward with a training program here as well and to say we have seen an improvement in his and our own quality of life would be an understatement!! We are so very impressed with how well our 1-year old dog took to training with the staff at the Dog Company and the transition that we have seen at home. If you are considering training for you pup, we 100% recommend!

My Corgi puppy completed their puppy program, spent time in the doggy day care, and completed a board and train once he was older. He came home from daycare every night calm and ready to relax! After the board and train, he no longer tries to bolt out the front door or run through the neighborhood chasing squirrels! We worked hard on his recall for his safety and my peace of mind. I was very impressed with the end result. Knowing your dog is receiving training and then seeing it in action is completely different! Not to mention the staff is very friendly and willing to answer questions. You can tell they really care about the dogs and recognize them for their own unique personalities. Ten out of ten would recommend!

Our (almost) 12 year old English lab, Albie, loves his time at the Dog Company! He has been going 2-4 days/week for the last 8 months and is their number one fan! We had to find a creative outlet since he’s showing early signs of dementia and barks more then we’d like in the evening. We needed help keeping him engaged during the day and worn out in the evening.Albie is old, ornery, and talkative but cannot wait to be lifted in and out of the car to join all his friends. Each morning he blocks the exit to the garage to make sure we do not leave him behind. Thank you Dog Company for taking excellent care of our oldest baby! The staff is super friendly, patient and accommodating!

If you want to live a happy mostly stress free life with happy dogs GET THEM TRAINED! Where you may ask? With Marissa and the dog girls at FETCH!! I trusted Marissa with our pit mix River several years ago and could not have been happier. When our 14 year old Boxer passed away in January, River got depressed. Do we made the decision to adopt another friend for her. I immediately thought to ask Marissa to help us with this decision. Marissa took time out of her very busy schedule to come to the humane society to make sure we had the perfect fit for River. She stayed and watched how River reacted to the other dogs and helped us decide on Odin. After a 3 day introduction to our house Marissa then boarded and trained Odin for 2 weeks. The progress Odin made in those 2 weeks was amazing!!!! I don’t believe you will find anyone else that has this much passion and love for what they do. River and Odin are living their best lives thanks to the FETCH team!!The picture of them on their cots they are holding a “place” command while a guy is cleaning our gutters!!

I don’t even think that I can adequately describe how amazing this female owned and operated business is. My pup Jolene was a HIGH ENERGY rescue who had no idea how to be a dog. I fell in love with her at the shelter but was warned that she would be a ‘high risk adoption’ as she had already been returned to another shelter previously due to her lack of manners and extremely high energy. That’s when I consulted with Abby the head trainer at Fetch and she told me to give her two weeks with Jolene. It was a total transformation! My sweet pup now knew how to be a loved pet. I am so grateful. We have since moved and Abby still answers my calls and texts when I run into issues introducing Jolene to new dog parks and traveling the country with her. Anytime I am back on the east coast I always know where to take my dog for day care and never have to worry about her for a second. THANK YOU FETCH!!

I took my 4 month old puppy here for the puppy program and we had a great time! We got to work one on one with a trainer each Saturday after the weekly sessions and my son loved it. This is a great place for dogs.

Can I tell you how much I love these women?! The ladies at Fetch are passionate about what they do and are seriously dedicated to caring for your dog! I cannot tell you how comforting it is to know our pup is cared for during the day; knowing he is genuinely loved and treated like family makes my heart smile! And the work they do in house to train dogs is beyond!! They are constantly educating themselves about dog training and bringing that knowledge to their clients. My husband and I are so stoked to be a part the community they are growing at Fetch!

Highest praise goes out to Fetch, Yumi's "second best friend." They've had my six-mo-old mini Aussie's back since we first walked through the door, providing Yumi with plenty of positive, rewards-based training in the Puppy Program to equip her with the socialization and basic skills needed to be a canine good citizen. Then of course there's Fetch doggy daycare, where fun happens. Yumi receives both structured down time and playtime to bask in the sun or round up the puppy crew to turf across the lawn. When arriving at Fetch, Yumi bounds into the lobby to say hello to her favorite dog girls. On the car rides home, she stretches out to nap. My silent buddy's cues tell me everything I need to know to feel confident about her wellbeing when she's away from home. With Fetch, I know my dog is in a safe, structured environment where she's loved, mentally stimulated, and challenged to be her best self by highly-trained, caring canine instructors.

While my wife was out of town for 2 weeks on a business trip, I had a FETCH DOG CO Dog Walker (Nicole) come to our house to let our 3 dogs out to play. I am very happy with the results and plan to use them again in the future.

Have not had chance to use their services yet. But the initial impression is that the owners guarantee top notch daycare. This rating is for the thorough front end qualification interview and Paperwork required for daycare.
