Food Lion of Fruitland is a nice, clean store with a larger variety of products than the Princess Ann location. Prices similar to Walmart, some even lower. And they actually are not out of stock on items I buy...very unlike Walmart across the street.

Stopped to pick up a few things. Got sliced lunch meat and we asked for a thin cut and sure didn't get it.The were also out of my fresh lemonade again.

Fruitland Food Lion is a pleasant place for shopping. Always clean, no excessive noise. Mostly, the salespeople are the best. They are friendly, professional in their work, and always go out of their way to help you find something. Always have a smile and a kind word.

This store is well managed clean and all the personnel are spot on . They work as a team.They bring on everyone when lines get long and open all cash registers.I love this smaller store.They make you aware of savings that you may have overlooked or other savings.If you ask for help you get it promptly. The vibe passes along to the customers too.We forgot a bag one day with expensive items . The cashier ran us down before we left the parking lot. Thank you Fruitland Food Lion.

What an amazing experience. The coupons help so much, as does the MVP discounts. The coupons offer truly FREE MERCHANDISE, NO STRINGS. Also BOGO, as well as dollars off coupons mask this my place to shop. Other large chain stores do not offer these prices. I cannot afford to NOT shop here. It just makes sense to save money. Store is clean and VERY WELL STOCKED. THE employees are very friendly and helpful..

The people are friendly but the produce is probably the worst at all of the food lions on the eastern shore and the amount of times I’ve had meat that was bad from here is disappointing, who ever is in charge of the meat section should either be given an eye exam or moved to another department. Check your chicken and ground turkey thoroughly.

Always clean, efficient, helpful workers, and things are easy to find. A great array of foods; often foods that I cant find in Walmart. They will often have someone bagging your items so no employees are sitting around doing nothing. You can do curbside pickup as well if you prefer.

Decent deli with fairly consistent food quality. Service is fairly consistent and friendly. Shelves are usually ordered. Meat Department does pretty well on keeping on top of things. Produce section is kept fairly well. They have bathrooms in the back. They have in store pickup.

I love how the other Food Lion stores are bright and huge, but it seems that this location didn't get the additional space needed. That said the variety suffers because of it. The store is kept clean and the staff are pretty fast. Great place to get want you need before 11pm and as early as 7am.

It was very easy to find everything needed from the fresh fruit and veggies to laundry detergent and light bulbs! The checkout line wasn't long; the cashier was very nice and courteous. Recommend shopping here!

I always shop at this Food Lion and usually everyone is very nice. However, this time I was proceeding to check out when Raynetta stepped out and said, "I'll take you here". I noticed it was an express lane and when I mentioned that I had more items, she snapped at me and said, "I told you I would take you here" in a very gruff tone. While I appreciated the offer, I don't appreciate the rude tone and attitude. There was a much better way to respond. Speaking to customers with a little courtesy goes a long way.

This Food Lion is set up completely different than the one that I usually shop. So I was running around the store more trying to find things. But on the other hand the employees were so helpful and pointed me in the right direction that I needed to go. So all in all it was a very positive visit. It's never overly crowded and I was checked out quickly.

I gave only 4 stars because of basically 2 employees i encountered not this visit but. Ones before , they were rude at checkout having a personal conversation with another employee and i stood there for awhile until they finished their conversation, she finally waited on me, she didn't even say hello, then when i was leaving , I said thank you and have a blessed evening and she didn't say anything back! Next time i will get her name

Decent store. Enjoy the fact that they DO NOT use self checkout. That's a plus. Wish they had a bigger selection like ACME. But ACME is overpriced. Management needs to go to a serve safe class cause they constantly run deals in summertime and place cheese in same cooler as raw meat. Cashier's do it too. One lady got an attitude when I asked her to not put the cheese and chicken in the same bag.

Usually I really like this food Lion. Well stocked not terribly busy, clean, neat. Usually not an issue w cashier's...had one really rude one and one that couldn't ring anything right if he had too. Not terrible for the visits I make. Today however was a different story. There were quite a few registers open and I went up to the one and I realized it was the man who always screw something up and it takes forever to get through his line so I switched. I was letting us lady go ahead of me and she told me to go ahead so I did. There was a man in the in the line there. As I walked into the line I realized that the light wasn't on so I looked at the cashier who just looked up and didn't say anything so wait a couple minutes and all the sudden she looks up and says my lines closed. like excuse me? She saw the other woman and I get in line never said a word not I'm sorry this lines closed I thought she took him extra because the light on her register was out when the man came over to her line. I thought she had opened up extra because there were quite a few people and sometimes they do that. She was not nice about it she just said this line is closed my line is closed. So I just walked on through and she told the other woman the same thing. By this time I was so annoyed I just wanted to get in line and get checked out. I just took my card over left it at the counter by customer service and said I've had enough I'm leaving in your food here. They can at least put it away before thawed out. It was really annoying the fact that she looked at us twice before she said anything and then refuse to take us. Information is always helpful.

We do our weekly shopping here. It seems to have the best prices although the selections of some goods are not as extensive is in the recently moved Giant grocery store. The storage clean and always has good parking.

Not quite as cheap as Walmart but a much more enjoyable experience in every way. You can actually reach them on the phone if you have questions! They also stock many items Walmart doesn’t!

11/23/16 1pm I visited the store and purchased a frozen turkey. There was a remarkable sale price but I failed to read the fine-print. In order to get the remarkable sale price, I had to spend X amount of dollars. Too bad I already went thru the checkout without realizing it, and I ended up paying full price. Fine, not the end of the world, and, as I said, it was MY fault as the customer to read the fine print. But, just to check everything on the receipt and to ensure that my bonus card got scanned (because the total was looking high as I hadn't realized the non-sale price problem) I went to the customer service desk.Unfortunately, this store has a definitive LACK of customer service. As I approached the counter, I found myself dealing with an argumentative troglodyte, despite me being very pleasant, simply inquiring, and willing to take the blame for the problem.So the man-thing behind the counter acted as if I was being the biggest dick on the planet, having only dealt with crabby customers and being nowhere near intelligent enough to know the difference.After I saw that, indeed, I hadn't read the fine-print, I said to the female neanderthal, "Gosh, I guess I didn't read the fine print."In a crappy, snippy bark, she retorted, "It's NOT IN the fine print, it's written right on the flyer."At which time, she illustrated her point by pulling out the flyer and jabbing her stubby man-finger on THE FINE PRINT.Otherwise, I still shop here because they are the least busy of all the grocery stores I've visited in this feculent swamp.

Overall fine, but slightly irritated that the young lady that came in from pushing carts was continually cussing, flirting, complaining about work, heat, and being generally rude and obnoxious. The young man cashier tried to discourage her and did ask in the most polite way to control herself
