I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Ward and her team at West Friendship. As soon as i walked in with my new puppy Archie i felt this was the perfect place for us.Monica was absolutely amazing and so were the girls at the front desk. Dr Ward was wonderful and you can tell the love she has for these 4 legged babies.I will never go to another veterinarian. Dr. Ward and the techs truly love animals. They are extremely knowledgeable, patient and above all else kind. Highly recommend!!

I had my first visit with Dr Estelle Ward last week and was overwhelmed by her professionalism, knowledge, friendliness, and quality of comprehensive care that she provided. I was so impressed and feel completely confident that my pup (who suffers from a bladder stone and ruptured heart valve) is in good hands. I highly recommend this wonderful vet!

Dr. Wells and all the staff are incredibly professional, kind and caring!. Dr. Wells spent almost two hours with my Joey - an aging, complex dog. She was amazingly thorough and spent time explaining and exploring to get to the bottom of his problems. Dr. Wells also spent time on the phone with me following up and making sure he is on the right track. We appreciate the loving care and kindness we are receiving from this terrific practice!

The team is so friendly and caring. They are knowledgeable and have excellent suggestions for both behavior issues and general training. They take excellent care of our dogs, and we never have to worry the dogs will be scared. Our dogs love all the Vets and Tecs. We are so grateful some friends told us about this place. The people working here are the best. Always friendly and helpful. They genuinely care about both of my dogs health and happiness. Dr. Gibbons is just wonderful, and my dogs love to see her. We wound up having a not so minor issue with one of our dogs recently, she made the correct diagnoses and referred us to a specialist ( ortho surgeon ) that is just as wonderful as she is. With his help our girl is on the road to a full recovery. Dr. Gibbons kept in contact with him through the process to make sure we were all doing ok as well contacting me directly to check in. It was great to see her again today (in person!), and we had a nice talk about my girls progress and general doggie things. There's not a lot of things we can count on rigjt now, with things the way they are, but I can count on quality, kind and caring service from West Friendship Animal Hospital.

I've been going to the same vet for 45 years (was originally Ellicott City Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Meyers) since I was 6 years old. It has moved, changed ownership, and so on. But, I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else. The vets and staff are there for us when we need them. I know a LOT about animals so sometimes my thoughts will clash with theirs but they never force me to do anything. Yes, they do cost more than some other vets which is why I now have insurance for the cats using Manypets. I just wish they would also see my guinea pigs.

Visited West Friendship Animal Hospital with a dog that I was caring for while his mom/dad were out of town. The dog was vomiting and also had a run-in with the fence (literally) and had a small scrape on his face. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Gibbons who was very thorough, friendly, and really showed her care and affection for the pup. She explained everything she felt they should do to address the two concerns. She called the mom to confirm (mom btw, said she was very impressed with Dr. Gibbons as well for being so thorough in her explanation over the phone). Pup never seemed anxious with Dr. Gibbons and walked out happy as a clam with a plan to get his tummy feeling better and a nicely cleaned up wound!

In 25+ years of having pets this is by far our favorite vet. They are “fear free” and do everything they can to make you and your pet comfortable. Dr. Ward never seems rushed and is so sweet to our pup. The staff is so quick to answer emails and always friendly. They all seem to love what they do.

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Gibbons for many years and have always appreciated the quality of care she and her staff provided. But what really stands out is the empathy, compassion, and patience she showed in this past year when both of our dogs (Klaus & Maya) reached the end of their natural lifespans, developed significant illnesses, and needed to be put down. The advice and comfort Dr. Gibbons provided during those difficult times really sets her apart from other vets.

Just wanted to say that I am grateful for Dr. Ward and her help with our dog, Luna. I've been taking Luna to another vet because of concerns for her comfort in her old age. They had no answers for me to help her be more comfortable. We brought her to Dr. Ward, and she did x-rays and really examined her thoroughly. She recommended some supplements and treatment and Luna is a new dog! She is happy, running around with the other dog and playful again. We really thought she wouldn't be with us much longer, but she has gotten back some of her youth! Thank you, Dr. Ward and W. Friendship! We are truly grateful.

Do not be deceived by this hospital. They act like they care but really just want a pay check at the end of the week. My dog got his teeth extracted and was seen by a cardiologist bc he had a heart mur mur. They approved him to get his teeth extracted and filed that he was okay going under anesthesia. Five months after his teeth extraction he was diagnosed with kidney chronic disease. Looking into detail about kcd infections in the mouth and gums can lead to this disease. This vet basically told me he had a few days to live and suggested to put him down. I asked if there was anything to do to save him she said no. When she left and walked out and she was talking about jeans giggling with the other assistants. How ducking rude ditch !!!!!!!!!!!!! You know what I’m saying. I took my dog to another local vet and they suggested IV fluids daily for him due his dehydration. How did they not detect his kidney issue when he got a full examination. They definitely did not extract his teeth properly. They were probably busy talking about their poor fashion sense. Shame on you

Everything that I have been looking for in a vet can be found at West Friendship. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and the vets are top notch in every aspect. I completely trust Dr. Ward & Dr. Gibbons and truly feel as though they are part of my dog's team. They don't immediately push the most expensive treatment options, but when they recommend it, I know it is because it is needed. I was looking for a vet who would also help me manage my dog's home cooked diet and both Dr. Ward and Dr. Gibbons provided excellent advice. They never scolded me for choosing this option for my dog, which other vets have done, because they actually listened to my reasoning for doing so. I don't dread taking my dogs to the vets anymore!

I only trust Dr. Ward for the veterinary care for my dog. She is extremely knowledgable and thorough. She takes her time with each visit to ensure she is capturing and going over all of your concerns. Everyone here is extremely nice and well educated in the area of veterinary care. I drive from Baltimore for my visits, the trust I have in this staff is well worth the trip!

I found this vet when we needed a second opinion for our cat that had severe back pain. Dr. Ward was phenomenal! She took a LOT of time to listen to my concerns, review the previous vets records, and did a very thorough physical exam. That was 2 years ago. Unfortunately, that cat has passed away, but the care our pet received and the personal support from Dr. Ward was so wonderful that we made West Friendship Animal Clinic our permanent vet for our 2 newest furry friends.There is NOTHING about this vet clinic I would change. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They always make time for emergencies. I feel comfortable calling for advice and have never been disappointed with the answers I get. The place is always immaculate and I have never walked into the office or exam room and been overwhelmed with the typical stinky vet smell most places have.No question, this is the best vet clinic I have taken my animals to (and I been to many).

This was my first visit to WFAH. EVERYONE is wonderful and caring! Dr. Ward is an amazing veterinarian! My baby has a paw issue and Dr. Ward discussed everything with me, biopsy, blood work, costs upfront. My previous veterinarian didn't even inform me of the severity of the situation. I was shocked to see the extent of the area involved. I wanted to cry. Dr. Ward spent an hour with me. An hour who does this? I was informed to schedule an appointment ASAP with a specialist due the complexity of the problem and the fact that with COVID vets are very busy. I have never experienced such professionalism and wonderful loving care. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who has a fur baby. This place is one of a kind. Thank you!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Gibbons at West Friendship Animal Hospital and I am so so happy I did!!! My dog has been sick with Gi issues for years and no one has been able to figure out what’s wrong. DR. Gibbons took the time to listen and read through my dogs entire medical history and was able to give her honest opinion making me feel so comforted. She did not scold me like I had in the past but encouraged me that we were doing everything we could for our little guy and she would be right along side us to help heal him. She took the time to thoroughly explain every procedure to us and made sure our dog was so comfortable and loved . We feel SO lucky to have found Dr. Gibbons and West Friendship!!! Our pup loved her and so do we!!

I love this vet. I walked in a week ago as a rescuer deeply concerned about one of my rescue dogs and now I’m moving my own dogs to this vet hospital. I have worked with many vets in the past five years due to rescue.... I fell in love with this office and everyone in it within one appointment. What does that say about this practice?If you want a vet that cares about their pets...This is it. I have never met a more compassionate, understanding group of people who want nothing more than to help your animals.Thank you West Friendship Animal Hospital for all you did for Chip... and for what you will do in the future for the rest of the dogs I bring through your doors. We’ve been taking our 3- Year old German Shepherd, Ace here since we got him at 8 weeks. We recently got Kobe, our newest baby in the family. Within a week of getting him Kobe suffered from head trauma and neuro symptoms.Dr. Ward and the entire team at West Friendship Animal Hospital, saved his life. While Kobe was admitted in the Pet ER in Columbia, Dr.Ward was with us every step of the way and believed in our warrior more than anyone could. She went out of her way, after hours to help us get through this, and her prayers and quick acts saved Kobe - whos currently sitting next to me, happy as can be playing with his toys.This vet clinic isn’t just a clinic - they are saviors. They truly take you in as family, treat your babies like their own and constantly go out of their way to make sure your babies are okay.Dr. Ward, Dr. Gibbons and the entire team - we are so grateful to have picked you. We hope to spend the rest of our lives trusting our fur babies and future fur babies in your hands.If you want a clinic that will truly love your fur baby - choose them.

Wonderful vet. I love them and so does my bouvier. My boy walks in like he lives there. If Dr. Ward is not seeing him for any reason and he catches her at her desk my 90 lb boy runs over to her and jumps in her lap. No better recommendation can be had than by a dog himself running to hang out with the vet that just gave him a shot.

Dr Ani Gibbons has to be the best Vet ever. It's her compassion and ability to make you feel like your pet, is the only patient she has. I swear sometimes, she is embarrassed to actually charge people for doing what she loves.

Dr Ward has been the Veteriarian for my pets for many years. My dogs have lived to be 17, 16, 14 and the last (due to my age) is 14 years old. Dr Ward is very knowledgeable, friendly, doesn't rush you and treats your pets as if they were her own. She used to work at the Eastern Animal Hospital. After she left for the new location; Eastern Animal Hospital did not inform her patient's owners of her new location. Intentionally done, I believe.She is highly recommended!I love her!!!

We visited West Friendship vet to have our first puppy check up, and we were seen by Linda Reinhardt. Linda was absolutely awful to us. She made demeaning comments, and was extremely rude and judgmental. My husband and I are very experienced pet owners and take pride in how well we take care of our pets - they are our family. We'd had our puppy for less than one day when we brought him in for our appointment, so we hadn't yet picked a name as we wanted to get to know his personality before choosing. Linda looked at us coldly and asked "did you even want a dog??".. "did you understand you were getting a dog??". Our puppy didn't fall into our lap - we thought long and hard about this decision. That was just the tip of the iceberg with Linda and our visit. If you are considering visiting WFAH, we highly discourage accepting an appointment with Linda Reinhardt.
