I like this store and its employees. Have shopped this store since it was built. Sometimes the store does not have an item, but that happens everywhere. Must be mindful to check expiration dates. Have found items on shelves and in refrigerated cases that were beyond expiration.Starting 1/1/24 Frederick City government has banned the use of plastic bags, so, you can either bring your own or purchase paper bags for 10 cents each which we planned to do. This ordinance passed in the spring of 2023 for a 2024 start date.Today (1/2/24) we shopped for our weekly groceries and when we got to the register the cashier asked if we brought bags from home. We did not. She informed us the store had no paper bags. We had to buy cloth bags at $1.00 each. If we had a few items we would have carried them out but we had a cart full.I certainly hope that by next week this store has an abundance of paper bags. I don’t want to be forced to go outside of the city limits to shop.This new ordinance was well advertised. What happened?

When u shop in this store. Please consider its location.. because of its wonderful "can't be beat" prices this store is always busy. There are plenty of products that seem to go out of stock. Don't let that frustrate you because you can get the most basic items that can allow to make some pretty creative meals. Bring your patience.

We will never shop at Weis groceries on rt40 again. The place is filthy, they clearly had a power outage long enough to require massive restocks, there's rotting food on the shelves, and twice, we have had checkout people sneeze snot directly into their hands and have be to told to use sanitizer. (By us, not Management that's nowhere to be found.) We took everything perishable out of the cart and left. I pointed out to the deli manager on a previous visit that there was spoiled chicken in their $20 meat box sale. He then attempted to explain how I was incorrect. I'm a Chef with 30 years experience and ServeSafe Food Management Certified.

Only 1 or 2 people running registers. Self checkout sucks keeps giving errors on scanning items. People that could just be checking you out just stand there. Customer service counter normally does not have anyone at it. This is not a one time thing its all the time and to top it all off you have to pay for bags now.

First off this is open 24/7. It makes it very convenient for me. It has a wide selection of produce and International Foods & produce. However the store could be a little bit cleaner and the produce could be rotated out.

Way too often do I shop there and find food to be expired when I get home. I'm sick of it. The product was stocked full too, so they clearly didn't care enough to even glance at the dates. Just shove the new behind the old without a second glance.

I love this store. I'm new to the area and this has quickly become my go to store. It has everything I need at reasonable prices. Customer service is great. And I got my Covid booster at the pharmacy--the staff there was also great. Very happy with this place. No reason for me to shop anywhere else in Frederick for groceries.

My go to close to home grocery spot... They pretty much have whatever u may need in a pinch.. But NOT high end like Harris Teeter or Whole Foods... If u know what I mean! Great bakery! Super Duper Pharmacy Team... Really go above n beyond their duties to give personal attention...

Employees are extremely nice! Regular prices are good but if you can catch the sales the prices are awesome! I would definitely recommend! If you have a big basket shy away from self checkout, the cashier can do it faster and better than you will ever hope to achieve. They have kept prices lower than a lot of places during this time of high inflation

Lately not great used to stop there almost every day for lunch for work, there had been no subs for a couple days, so I tried a wrap. Looked ok in package, was a soggy gross mess upon opening . Tossed it. So I finally tried again the other day bought chicken strips, they were pink and raw in the center.

Still nice and clean, the cashiers are friendly, but asking for help in the pharmacy was a nightmare. I asked for help with getting something that I looked over. I will make sure NOT to get prescriptions from this store, but I'm sure to shop for everything else.

The actual store is clean with a good selection of produce,meats and products. Had a bad interaction with self checkout monitor Mary. She refused to get manager when asked 2-3 times. Many times the self checkout monitors chat, laugh and play on their phones when the customer service desk is closed before closing time. Maybe they could be trained to work customer service. disappointed.Went back still minimal customer service and now the checkout line belt was broken. needs improvement.

They have a much larger selection than the nearby Safeway. We witnessed the manager handle a customer used hateful language and spewing racist remarks with absolute and utter grace. He gently corrected her and didn’t get angry and kept it all in stride. His attitude and not allowing her to speak that way made me want to come back to Weis for all my grocery needs.

Much nicer after the remodel, they've also now added a gas station on site. Good selection of produce. Has a seafood counter that other stores don't have but doesn't have a meat counter.

Biggest and most well stocked Weis I've ever seen! Great service at the Seafood counter as well. Great job Big Weis!!! Great job!! Keep up the great work y'all!! Since I don't normally shop at this Weis, I'm not familiar with where everything is! lol But everyone there is always very pleasant and helpful! Everywhere I go, it seems in Frederick, all the people I meet are just good decent folks! I love living here! Great job Weis Markets for being a part of me feeling welcome!

Have shopped here for over 30 years. Customer service has declined with the increase in self checkout. Many of the "oversight" staff chat and play on phones while the customers self-checkout. Customer service is usually closed before the stated time of 6pm. 1 cashier in the evening usually. The store is good clean with good selection. The customer service needs improvement or customers may go elsewhere.

They have replaced cashiers with self check out.I'm not a fan when I am shopping with a small child.They have one or two lanes staff with people, but there is always a line 3 deep to use that lane.I do like that they hire a senior citizen workforce, but things can take forever. Not the place to. E if u are in a hurry.

This Weis is not bad. I go for the sushi boxes and when the routine of my regular store near my place gets a bore for a bit. It's near the foot of the mountain, somewhat. The employees mind themselves, are helpful, attentive if needed and stay out of the way. Very professional. I've never felt unwelcome here. The food's just like any other store with a bit of local stuff in it too, now, like alot of the stores are getting in to doing which is nice, to know that the food isn't all imported and such. A pretty quiet store, too, but well stocked. No non-dairy only potato salad lol .. Very good experiences here. Thanks guys!

The assistant store manager has very bad customer service and she came across very rude when I went to place an order for chicken. She seemed like she had an attitude because I had a special request. She needs to have better customer service especially for being an assistant store manager. Because of her attitude I don’t want to go back there to shop and I have been a customer there for many years.

This place has gone way down since installing all the self checkouts. Cashiers are not friendly, head cashiers stand around and and ignore lines, and all the prices have gone up, as if they expect us to pay more to check ourselves out. On top of this, I had to help an older couple out to there car because all the employees ignored them. Used to go here all the time as it is local, but I would rather drive a bit for decent customer service.

This place has gotten ridiculous. Just shopped there today. One register open and 4 employees hanging around the self check outs on their phones. What has this world come to when customer service no longer matters. Where’s my employee discount because obviously I work there now if I shop there. SMH

Really great produce worker was so helpful. The checkout cashier was actually friendly. More selection here than other weis locations I've been to especially produce and meat. Wish they had more gluten free and organic selection though. It was clean and orderly, and we'll laid out.

I hate giving a not so great review but every time I go into this store, they mis-charge me for almost every item that’s supposed to be on sale. I take my time to find items at a reasonable price then get to the cashier and everything is at its original price , not the sale price and it’s embarrassing having to watch like a hawk and point out all the errors and hold the line up only to be told to go to customer service afterward to fix the mistakes they made. I love this store but I don’t think I will continue shopping here because it’s just too much to have to go through every time. Used to be my favorite grocery store it’s really a shame. If you shop here , just make sure you check the screen when you’re checking out because it’s never been right for me. Really hope they can fix this issue soon
