Very nice hotel for the price. It was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was very friendly. And they have a pool table that is free to use for all guests! Highly recommend!Rooms: Nice and clean. Well equipped for an extended stay.

The manager, Nicole Vasquez, is horrible. She was so rude on the phone that I don’t feel safe staying at this hotel. It went way beyond bad customer service. This woman was scary. The way she spoke to me made me worry that she might try to hurt me or my family. She said things like ‘I can do whatever I want to you at my hotel’. It was disturbing. Stay far away from this place.

Rating because of this locationd automated phone service. The phone service requires you to press through multiple layers of menus before being eventually routed to someone who is not on location, does not know the location policies and has never actually been to the location. A business with such high barriers to entry - that take active steps to prevent customers from booking or interacting does not deserve a high rating - nor does one that outsources their work to outside locations.

Great hotel. There were some down sides like they sold wine but didn't have wine glasses and the A/C was a tad noisy but all in all clean and comfortableRooms: Very comfortable beds but the TV could not be directly viewed why laying in the bedFood & drinks: Breakfast was not good. Eggs were gritty and oatmeal was extremely watery

Room was fairly clean, but did find a few pieces of what appeared to be pet food floating around on the floor and in a chair.Overall, not bad.Breakfast lacked variety that I've seen at other TownePlace locations.

Buyer Beware! The "sofa bed" is an origami cushion and frame that folds into what I thought was a platform bed, but without the mattress. When I asked for my mattress, I was told that this hard vinyl cushion on the back side of sofa seat and back is "technically" the mattress. Fitted sheets had no chance of staying on this thing. It may be appropriate for pets, but I would hesitate to have children sleep there, let alone adults. It is not a bed, but may be a way of getting you to arrive, then book extra rooms. We were so disappointed. My family also had trouble with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of our room. Floors hadn't been vacuumed thoroughly, so there were areas with debris left on the floor; one sink hardly drained; the dishwasher clearly hadn't been used in quite some time, and had NOT been cleaned - dried food was caked on the inside, so we washed our dishes by hand. The breakfast room was designed to be easily closed off, but not to accommodate all the guests who were planning to get breakfast there (it was very, very crowded). To top it all off, the second day we were there, we were joined by more than a hundred ants in our 5th floor room. Without covered trash cans, there was no way to remove the source of attraction for them, and housekeeping only comes every other day.I would not stay here again, and worry that places like this will hurt Marriott's name and reputation.

Room was clear and spacious. Staff was kind. There is a small pool and gym it you want to use those amenities while visiting. Location makes it easy to get downtown or to shopping and such around Frederick. I'd stay again.Only gripe was they didn't refill the shampoo and body wash so by the end of my stay I was running on empty soaps.Nearby activities: Easy access to get yourself into downtown Frederick in just a couple of minutes (driving). And easy access to get on the highway if need be.

First time at this location and it was much better than the last place I stayed at during my previous visit to MD.I always request the top floor because when I'm not in the top floor, I end up under someone who either weighs 300 Kg and doesn't know how to sleep at night. The room was clean and comfortable. A couple of things were annoying though. There is no full length mirror in the room. Lots of storage - drawers and closet space but no mirror. That's a first for me.The second issue was the stand up shower. The door of the shower did not close properly and part of the seal was missing so water from the shower would end up outside of the shower, on the bathroom floor. The floor of the shower is also discoloured so it appears dirty. I'm very big on cleanliness so this annoyed the hell out of me. Mental note to buy a pair of travel flip flops for my next trip. The water pressure of the shower is terrible and there is also no options to change the water stream. The shower head has one fixed option - wide and weak. Hence, the annoyance of water ending up outside of the shower.Another thing that really annoys me but this seems to be with all of the chain hotels in the US. The fact that Covid is long gone in just about all other areas except for housekeeping at hotels. I travel to Europe quite often and full housekeeping is back with rooms cleaned everyday. I hate having to request towels everyday as the hotels supplies less towels in the rooms as well. This hotel did provide housekeeping upon request but even that service has been reduced to making the bed and supplying clean towels.I don't eat breakfast at these hotels even though it is provided, due to being very disappointed with the breakfast in the past especially, during Covid. If housekeeping went downhill since Covid, breakfast probably did as well.

This was our first stay at a TownePlace Suites. As other reviews mentioned, the location is currently undergoing a renovation. We did not encounter any issues related to that and it did not impact our stay at all. The room was spacious and clean. The sofa bed, which we utilized because of the size of our family, was a bit disappointing and (according to my son) very uncomfortable. I thought perhaps the mattress was missing, but was told that it was simply a "new design." Sometimes new is not better. The pool was a bit disappointing and the pool itself, although not filthy, was not the cleanest we've encountered. There was also a lack of sufficient towels. Needless to say, we did not stay long at all.Breakfast was decent with options for microwaved breakfast sandwiches or a pre-packaged quiche, among the typical pastries, oatmeal, and cereal. The sandwiches and quiche had ingredients listed on the package, which is important for us due to some specific dietary restrictions. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze.

Pretty nice, newer hotel. Breakfast was nice, liked the egg sandwiches. Had to ask for the juice to be refilled (shortly after start of breakfast) but was done quickly by staff member. Room very comfortable but walls quite thin - we could hear our neighbour coughing or something. Not sure why they would have put us right next to another guest when the hotel was not very full. Make sure you check the Marriot website for any discounts you are eligible for (AAA etc) we got a significant discount vs the regular price by booking via this method. Great to have Electric Vehicle chargers onsite (small extra fee) and smartly placed at back of hotel where they are less likely to be blocked by inconsiderate guests driving non-electric vehicles.

Stayed for an overnight trip. Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast bar was typical with scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, egg sandwiches, oatmeal, breakfast pastries and juices. Room was okay but the temperature control in the shower was tricky.

Without a doubt, the best stay I've had in a long time. Location was close to my destination and food options. I loved that breakfast was included which is not common these days. The room was big and I enjoyed the kitchen as well. I did request a higher floor which I did get.The two negatives I had were there seemed to be a sports group in town. They were loud while we tried to sleep and they didn't offer housekeeping. (even though I asked) I didn't like putting my trash outside of my door or going down to the front desk and ask for sheets after I discovered a small blood stain. I understand the world we live in but its one of the perks I do miss. I think if you aren't going to offer housekeeping than the least that can happen is to make sure the lines are clan and don't have any kind of stains. Overall, I would stay again and plan too.

First the positives, Ryan checked us in and was very friendly. Our room was exceptionally clean upon arrival, which I greatly appreciated. Although the carpet and couch looked a little "loved" everything seemed clean. We heard very little noise from other guest rooms, with the exception of a little late night door slamming. The TV remote was of the "cleanable" variety, which is always a plus. Breakfast was fine and we appreciated the idea of having guests wear gloves while serving themselves, though it would be nice if it had been enforced. We appreciated the small touches, like dish soap and paper towels. Now for the negatives: I later came across 2 spoons in our room that were not clean. They had some gunk crusted on. Also, our housekeeper did not empty trash or exchange the pile of towels in our room. We eventually put the towels and trash in the hall. The towels and trash were removed, but no towels were replaced. We had to go to the front desk twice for towels. The front desk reported being out of washrags, so once we were given hand towels instead and the second time they gave us dishrags instead.Overall a good clean place to stay, but could use a few tweaks in housekeeping.

The hotel room was very nice. I was greeted warmly by Alaina and Ryan. They were always helpful and pleasant. Thanks for everything guys! The hotel was under renovation during our visit, but I did not hear any noise from the 4th floor. The breakfast was great, but not many options, however there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Room service is not available daily, but the staff was very helpful with making sure that we had any and all supplies that we needed, they took time to bring it to us within minutes of asking. I will certainly return.

The hotel is going through a remodel but many areas were done, like our floor. This was the very end of August. The safe was great and brought up the extra pillows and blankets within a few short minutes. The location is nice. Very close to the promenade and other shopping areas in this part of frederick. Honestly not to far or hard to get to down town frederick. The highway was like 2 minutes away.

We picked this hotel because it was pet friendly. $100 non-refundable pet fee per stay (regardless of the length of your stay). Our room was quiet, clean, comfortable. Good breakfast 6am-930am daily. Excellent selection. Shirley the breakfast lady was perfect. And Jennifer, the manager was very attentive, pleasant and professional. Nice walking areas around the hotel property and nearby. Definitely staying here again when I travel.

Very quiet and the most comfortable bed ever. Large, newer walk-in shower was nice. Lots of storage everywhere. The front desk people were always super nice! It was nice being near all the major stores and a ton of restaurants. The dunkin donuts across the street was always crazy busy!

We got a newly decorated room on the 4th floor. Bed comfortable and fairly quiet with exception of a little road noise. No views. Room has no safe or a full length mirror. Difficult to darken room at night.

The staff here is always amazing. So hospitable and attentive. There are probably eight different hotels within a half mile of this one but this one always exceeds expectations. Great pool and gym. Up-to-date spacious rooms, comfortable need, great working area. They even had scrapers ready to go for everyone in the morning because they knew we'd have ice on our windows. Definitely worth booking your next trip here when you're in the area.

Pleasant stay, the customer service was excellent. Furthermore, the room had a regular size refrigerator and a stove top for cooking. However, the hallways were cold and the indoor pool was cold. The breakfast was ok. My friend stayed at the Residence Inn, and they had a better breakfast selection. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

I stayed here for one night for a wedding. There were a significant number of rooms reserved under the wedding block. “Guaranteed” check in time is at 3pm, and it was very important that all of the wedding guests be able to check in on time because the shuttle for the wedding picked us up at 3:30, and the hotel was aware of this. A number of people got there early and requested early check in, including myself. I arrived at 2 and asked if it was possible to check in. The extremely rude woman at the front desk said no rooms were ready, which I thought was weird because checkout time is at 12pm so they had two hours to get rooms cleaned, but it was understandable because check in time isn’t until 3. I asked if our room would be ready in an hour (at 3) and she said “I don’t know, maybe”. When I inquired as to why she didn’t know if our room that we paid for months in advance wouldn’t definitely be ready at the “guaranteed” check in time, she got extremely loud and irate and said she didn’t look at the clock so she didn’t realize 3pm was in an hour. Fortunately, at 2:45, we were able to check in and get ready. A significant number of guests arrived a few minutes after us, closer to the 3pm check in time, and they didn’t have any of their rooms ready. The same front desk woman was extremely unprofessional and unapologetic and suggested they just get ready in friends rooms. Several people had to get ready in the lobby bathroom. I don’t understand how a hotel could screw this up so badly, and not even offer any sort of apology, but instead an angry screaming woman, when it was entirely their fault that they didn’t get rooms ready in time for their guaranteed check in time and these rooms were booked months in advance and they knew people were needing to check in at 3. Anyway, to summarize, if you have somewhere to be and want to check in on time OR simply expect decent customer service, DO NOT COME HERE.

THE STAFF IS AMAZING AND THE HOTEL WAS ON POINT!I stayed here in May and was only supposed to stay a couple nights and then head to my parents house in Hagerstown. Unfortunately my dad ended up going into the hospital and we (myself and 22 month daughter) weren't able to visit the area he was in. It was a day by day basis and the hotel went ABOVE AND BEYOND to not only continue extending the stay (even though they were booked solid due to conventions and training and i think a wedding) but they also kept me in the same room. The housekeeping staff was beyond amazing and on point. The room was perfect, the pool was clean, stocked with towels etc, the gym was actually rather nice and very clean. They offered ear buds at the front too. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel and the staff. And the breakfast- delicious. so many options, organic blueberry waffle mix for waffle maker, hot and cold options, milk, juice, fruit, etc. Everything was above and beyond. I ended up having to stay there 11 days total. I was only to stay 2. so every day when I went to ask about extending one more night.. THEY MADE IT HAPPEN. And the room was very nice. everything I needed was at my fingertips. Dishwasher, fridge, ice, sink, dishes, etc. It was amazing. From the breakfast, amazing housekeeping staff, front desk staff ( there was one gal that wasn't very nice or "warming" at all but one bad apple didn't make a difference) -actually- a little more of a smile or at least be nice to customers wouldn't be the worst thing. I only say that towards the younger dark hair, I think glasses girl that worked the front desk.

Great little place to stay. Simple, clean and there are some nice details that make it more fun. They have a game room, a view TV watching spaces and the rooms are well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location is not great if you are visiting downtown Frederick, but overall I had a very positive experience.
