I have seen this vet multiple times for my dog and they are very comprehensive and professional. I also appreciate when they follow up after appointments for issues other than preventative health. Have recommended to friends numerous times.

Old Farm Veterinary Hopsital has amazing service and is pleasant to bring pets for checkups. The technicians and vet were incredibly nice and thorough with the visit. They also provide plenty of information on how to best care for your pet after a procedure or just for regular pet hygiene.

They require a full vet exam for a booster shot. They had the audacity to tell me my dog looks great on the second visit (well yeah, he was literally here a week ago). Super expensive compared to other vets in the area. Go elsewhere.

It is pretty sad when one judgmental team member can taint the entire team of a practice… I never had a problem with Dr. Wilson or Dr. Hiltner at Old Farm, but I cannot say the same about Ms. DeLacey, their newest colleague. She decided (at our euthanasia appointment) that since I would not pay for more tests (or really, repeat the same tests I had just gotten done a few days prior at another vet that I was referred to by Old Farm- i.e. a urinalysis, physical exam, ultrasound of bladder and kidneys, and full bloodwork panel), she was not going to help me humanely end my dog’s suffering. So she refused, treating the whole situation like it was a moral dilemma involving an owner vouching for convenience euthanasia… nothing about the decision was for my convenience… My poor dog was suffering… she was a 13 year old, completely incontinent collie mix with symptoms of late-stage Cushing’s disease. Her quality of life had diminished… But in Kelley’s opinion after “seeing her in the exam room” (not even an exam, just a visual scan), she was not eligible for euthanasia… She (Kelley) believed my dog had a treatable condition (contrary to what the test results actually said, but I don’t believe she even looked at them) and so did not feel “comfortable” going forward with the euthanasia…Then, as if to add insult to injury, she said if money was the reason we weren’t going to repeat all the tests to find the same results, she would print out a list of local shelters and rescues for me that we could surrender our dog to… again, this is a geriatric, anxious 13 year old collie with a terminal illness and no control of her bladder or bowels… so we aren’t allowed to end her suffering in a kind, loving way surrounded by her family of 13 years, but it is okay, in fact recommended that we surrender her to the shelter where she can die alone and scared? Not to mention we sadly had to put our other senior dog down just 10 days prior… she was a 14 year old poodle that had trouble seeing, hearing, and walking… but we were not even questioned about that when we made the call… Dr. Wilson trusted me as her dog owner to know what was best and when I said her quality of life was very low, no tests were required, no “permission” was needed by the vet, I was shown endless compassion and understanding… so what was the difference? If anything, my collie was suffering far more physically and mentally than my poodle was…We thankfully found a vet who went above and beyond to help us that night when we were not even his client and helped us give our dog the respectful and kind goodbye she deserved… a little kindness and understanding goes a long way…There is a severe lack of consistency of care at this practice now and I cannot recommend it… I have had 14 years of positive experiences with Dr. Wilson and Dr. Hiltner, but how I was treated by Kelley DeLacey made an already gut-wrenching situation so much more traumatizing than it should have been, all because she had a preconceived idea about me and was upset that she was not going to make more money off my poor dog’s suffering… I felt as though I was on trial, attempting to convince my own vet through my tears that I was not an evil person or a bad dog owner, that I was doing what I really believed was best for her, but all I got in return was rejection and then told to surrender my dog to the shelter… would not wish that scenario on anyone…

The technicians are always great with our frenchie. She's a lot to handle, but they're aware and are always good with her. She has been seen by all three vets and super please with each one.

Old Farm Vet takes amazing care of our cat and we feel very comfortable with her in their care. We will also be bringing our dog here once he joins us. We are so happy to have found a trustworthy vet. :)

I have been taking my dogs here since I moved to Frederick about 9 months ago and the staff here go above and beyond for your furry love bugs! Dr. Wilson helped me make a sound decision for my pups knee issues without bias or judgment. I also board my pups here, and weather it's a day visit or over the weekend, they come out all smiles and tail wags! during extended stays they will even email me updates and pictures of how the pups are doing.Highly recommend!

We love Old Farm Veterinary Hospital and let me tell you why: 1) The entire office smells, looks and is very clean. 2) The office staff is friendly, knowledgeable and loving to all pets. 3) The doctors are all knowledgeable, caring, friendly and love their job of taking care of pets. Dr. Wilson did surgery on our puppy and he did an excellent job. Kudos to Dr. Wilson! 4) Their office is conveniently located with six day a week office hours. There is also plenty of parking and never a long wait on the inside. 5) They do boarding for their customers and take excellent care of all their "patrons." 6) This facility is always doing something in the Frederick community to help animals. 7) They are growing and added Dr. Darcey. She is wonderful. It's businesses like this that make Frederick a great place to live. BTW, this office does excellent grooming and awesome nail trims!

My husband and I moved to Frederick a couple years ago with our sweet pup Sherlock, who had been previously diagnosed with cancer. Although he regularly saw his oncologist in Gaithersburg, we wanted someone who could manage his other routine healthcare. After reading all the positive reviews, we decided to choose Old Farm Veterinary Hospital. And we were not disappointed! Everyone was always so friendly, and our Sherlock received the absolute best care. After we sadly had to say goodbye to Sherlock earlier this month, we emailed Old Farm Veterinary Hospital to let them know. We immediately received the sweetest reply, and a few days later also received a personal, hand-written card from Dr. Wilson expressing his sympathy for our loss. We were very appreciative of his kind words, and it helped our hearts during a tough time. We would not hesitate in the least to recommend Old Farm Veterinary Hospital.

Great team. We used them to board our dog. He was nervous at first but seemed to warm up with the team quickly. They updated me when I inquired.

Dr. Wilson and Dr. Hiltner have been taking care of our pets ever since I moved to the Frederick area almost 10 years ago. They have always been compassionate, efficient, and incredibly insightful. Whether it’s for an emergency or a routine checkup, Old Farm staff always treats our family like theirs. Today, we had the pleasure of meeting Dr. DeLacey who is as kind and helpful as each other staff member we’ve interacted with at the practice - a wonderful addition to a fantastic team. Although we’ve moved further away over the years, we’re more than happy to make the drive back for the care that Old Farm has to offer. Thank you to the entire team!

The Vets and staff at Old Farm have been caring for our Tzuchon Noah for about four years now. They are kind, courteous and thorough, and I love the way they always follow up with texts and phone calls after each visit.Ran out of meds for my four-legged furry friend on Wednesday evening, and the folks at Old Farm put a new prescription in my hand in time for Noah's next dose!

We started using Old Farm in 2007. We have had 6 dogs cared for over the years. Some of them with extensive medical needs. We never questioned a test or procedure. Happily paid for any and all that was recommended. Even when Dr.Wilson removed what he said was a tumor from my then 4 year old chihuahua and it turned out it was a healthy, normal salivary gland. We didn’t get angry or argue having to pay for what turned out to be a completely unnecessary surgery. We accepted that doctors are human too and moved on. We put our trust in them, gave them respect and never questioned their recommendations. We spent tens of thousands of dollars there. We sent them gifts in appreciation. And in return some of them have treated us like garbage. We had an issue with their groomer, Amy. My dog was injured during grooming(per their report)but again we weren’t angry at the time or blaming. We figured those things happen sometimes. But her response was to completely shut down and refuse to give any information that could help treat my dog. Over the next few months, my dog had to have her toe removed. And still the management staff and groomer treated us like we had done something wrong! Again we never blamed, never asked for compensation, we simply said because Amy wouldn’t communicate we didn’t want to use her as a groomer. From that point many of the staff was cold and at times out right rude to me.When we finally expressed unhappiness with the treatment and handling of things the office manger, Marney made it clear our continued business was not wanted. They were happy to let a client of over 15 years leave because they prioritized their groomers ego over a long term client

My wife and I took our 1yr old Goldendoodle here as a new patient for her annual wellness check. We were overly satisfied with the service we received! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. The Dr. and tech staff were extremely kind to us and our pet and were very thorough in their examination. They made sure to discuss in detail the services we were interested in receiving and completed them professionally. They answered any/all questions with expertise and spent ample time discussing our needs. Pricing was reasonable (and competitive).Looking forward to continuing our relationship with this great business! Thanks for taking care of our pup Old Farm Vet!

I've been taking both my cats to Old Farm for at least six years and have always been treated well. I recently went through a very difficult situation with one of my cats and the doctors and staff at Old Farm were very kind every step of the way. Dr. Wilson and his staff explained all our options, gave me the necessary time to consider and were supportive through every step. They treat both pets and owners with dignity and respect, and I highly recommend them.

Although I have not used vet services at Old Farm, I take my cat Olive and my dog Pepe quite often for boarding. The front desk staff is always sweet and helpful! The kennel staff is wonderful and my animals get so much love and attention. They let them out to play and hang out with staff, not to mention regular walks for my dog. They always come home clean and happy. It means the world to us that we can travel and know that our fur-babies are safe and cared for. I call to check in throughout my trips and they are always kind on the phone, updating me about both animals. They even have an adorable kitty who lives happily in the front office. Highly recommend this boarding facility and they will always be my first choice.

I brought my new kitty here for a nail trim and wellness check. They were very attentive and spent a lot of time on the phone with me explaining everything. She had a reaction to a vaccine so they wanted me to bring her in the next day. They gave her some medication and she was immediately back to herself. I was grateful for their quick response in getting her in on such short notice. I would highly recommend!

The doctors and staff at Old Farm Vet are awesome! They've taken great care of my 13 1/2 year old dog, Blue, since he was 1 year old; and he's still doing great! They treat us like family and truly do care about their 4-legged patients. Both Dr. Wilson and Dr. Hiltner are very knowledgeable and provide the best care. They are very compassionate and only want what is best for Blue and I.Old Farm Vet is basically my one-stop-shop - I get the best care for my dog, they have a great boarding facility and a groomer on staff. And their prices are reasonable.I highly recommend Old Farm Vet!

I recently had the good fortune of taking my cat into a new Veterinary Hospital. I had moved back from out of state, and wasn't close enough to go back to his former veterinarian. I was referred to Old Farm Veterinary Hospital which is located in Frederick Md, by my son and his wife. They had taken and even boarded their Lab there for years. Therefore, Old Farm came highly recommended as reliable and responsive. As they had many experiences with "the middle of the night hospital visit". Based on what was or wasn't in their dogs stomach.I can truly express I was not dissatisfied with their services, nor their care, or their patience. I was treated professionally in the whole process of processing him during new client intake by the staff. Unfortunately, and due to COVID-19 the protocols which are set in place for the safety of their staff, your pet, and you. I wouldn't be able to go in with him. However, the staff handled everything smoothly and made me feel that he would be treated with care.Dr. Wilson, DVM made certain that I understood my cats care, from his findings to what he would like to see for his care going forward.Based on the quality that I experienced in their services, the reliability of being available, the responsiveness and the handling my questions and concern. This is the kind of care and professional services you and your pet deserve.Old Farm Veterinarian Hospital will be where I will continue to bring my pet in for all his health needs, his grooming and his preventative care.Thank you Old Farm Veterinary Hospitaland thank you Dr. Wilson and your Staff from.Annette and Panther

Jackie PickettThu, Apr 25, 1:13 PM (8 days ago)to meI called four different Vet offices (my regular vet was unavailable) before reaching Old Farm Veterinary Hospital. The receptionist was so kind and helpful over the phone. She even provided me with a price estimate over the phone, so that I wouldn’t be surprised at the visit. I was able to get my dog in that day. Dr. Wilson and his staff were very thorough, and they were all so kind to both me and my pet. In addition to regular veterinary services, they also informed they provide grooming and boarding, which is great. I highly recommend this facility for your pet needs, both emergency and non-emergency.

Dr. Wilson and staff have always been very caring and responsive. I have found Dr. Wilson to be extremely knowledgeable as well. Unlike other veterinarians that I've visited, I don't feel like a lot of unnecessary services and testing are recommended. Perhaps, that's because I trust his recommendations. Finally, I frequently ask questions about services and pricing. Other practices have been offended, if not hostile, to that. This hospital is responsive and thorough in their explanations and treat it as a customer's right to know.

The entire staff at Old Farm Vet are absolutely wonderful! I can’t say enough about Dr. Wilson and Dr. Hiltner, and the fabulous care they provide to Ella. I absolutely love the email updates I receive from the kennel staff when I board my girl. The entire staff is truly amazing!

I highly recommend Old Farm Vet. I have been taking my 2 dogs there for a few years and am very pleased with the office staff, Amy (groomer) and Dr. Hiltner. Amy is very patient with my nervous dog and I can tell she truly loves dogs. My dogs are always so happy to see her. I recently had an emergency with one of my dogs and called Old Fam Vet. Nancy got me in that same day, which I really appreciated and Dr. Hiltner went above and beyond in his care for my dog. He was very comprehensive in his care and took his time to diagnosis the problem and came up with a great treatment plan. I really could not be more grateful to them. If you want a high quality Vet and Groomer in Frederick, this is the place to go.

They take such great care of my dogs. We recently moved into the area and both dogs needed coming different surgeries and Dr. Wilson was able to expertly handle both of them, the staff leave us worry free and both dogs are better than ever. The routine care visits are the most thourough checkups I've ever seen. Very happy with the facility and staff.

Just finished my first visit at Old Farm. Everyone was very friendly. My appointment was scheduled quickly when I called. My appointment was easy and painless. They did a great job attempting to make my cat feel comfortable during the exam and vaccinations. In all, it was a great visit! I will be back in the winter with my other cat!

Wonderful staff. Hospital cares for three cats which live at the hospital. The staff clearly care about our animals. Everyone is very understanding, helpful, and resourceful. Also, they are willing to take the time to lat out the options regarding what's needed, explaining everything, and are upfront about pricing of the different options. Also, the puppy and kitten packets are very informative. I took in a kitten on a whim and the packet paired with the staff thoroughly answering all questions is all I needed to get my kitty in good shape.
