Hands down the best hotel I have been to and stayed at in Frederick. The check in was great, they were very kind. Someone was folding towels at a table near the front (I saw that negative comment in a previous review) that didn't bother me at all, they were quiet and keeping each other company, who really cares. The lobby was tidy and clean, the elevators and hallways were clean and the rooms were amazing! So spacious! We got the 2 queen bed studio. They were very clean and had all the things we needed. When using the pull out sofa, there weren't any linen but the front desk provided immediately. The pool was clean and warm and the area itself was clean and well put together. The breakfast was different but I viewed it as serving healthier options when staying at a hotel. My family and I (9 kids) enjoyed it all. I would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is very clean! The staff is super friendly (the front desk, ladies making breakfast, maintenance crew I encountered). The room was spacious and even had a small kitchen so our family of 5 was able to heat up the home cooked meals I brought for dinner. The location was close enough to enjoy time in DC but also close enough to a small ski resort we visited for skiing and snow tubing. My kids and I loved the pool and the breakfasts too. We would definitely love to stay here again!

It was my first time in a Home2, my last trip to town, I stayed at the other Hilton-branded hotel, which was a much better experience. The rooms were clean, the modern building, the staff was nice, and the breakfast was decent. I also liked that each room has a kitchenette so you can make your own food or have snacks. I will stay at Home2 when I see them from now on.

Everything you would expect from a Hilton. Clean, organized, and friendly staff. One staff member (Ian) was so out of their way helpful towards my wife. She called ahead of our visit with some concerns/requests and Ian worked everything out and helped out her mind at ease. People like Ian make our stays so much better! Thank you!Food & drinks: Good selection of fast food options around the hotel.

Horrible!! When checking in, never asked for identification of the person who booked the room. Got to the room to find a previous renter had left some of their stuff in the bathroom drawer. The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed nor would it lock. And there was only one coffee cup in the room but also no coffee. Not worth the price and not worth 4 stars!!!

Pro: Nice, clean, spacious room. The bed was comfortable and there was a pull out mattress in the couch. There were coffee cups and tea available in the kitchen area. Staff was friendly. Lots or shops and restaurants nearby.Cons: Housekeeping never answered the phone (called 2 separate times during the stay). They didn’t put lotion in the room (and when I called down and asked for some they never brought it up). The breakfast was lacking variety (lots of bread items but not much fruit and other items).

Horrific service from start to finish.Clean rooms if you don't mind filth all over the walls.Didn't get to use any of the amenities because despite being told a late checkout for my colleague and I at a very reasonable 1 PM wouldn't be a problem, on the morning of the front desk denied her request. And denied my request as a Diamond member. They told me she couldn't have a late checkout because she's not a member. She is. Also terrible customer service response. They told me they would allow noon as a Diamond member courtesy. It is not a courtesy. It is a Diamond member benefit. The courtesy is a Diamond member choosing to stay at your property when they can choose anywhere. Especially when they are also Marriot Platinum Elite and IHG Diamond Elite. You could hide behind late checkout being *subject to availability. However, no one would be so disrespectful as to not honor a reasonable request. We weren't requesting 4 PM. And I've never had a property say no on the few occasions I've needed to exercise that earned benefit.Additionally, subject to availability is subject to availability, not subject to you don't feel like or an arrogant "manager" of some sort in front desk employee Olivia's ear feeding her the response.Perhaps if you were a NYC hotel sold out day after day, late checkout would be difficult to honor and get rooms prepared. But no, they honor it because it's the right thing to do.Complete lack of professionalism. Breakfast was horrific, but thank you to the breakfast attendant who heated up a couple cheese omelets for the vegetarians who wanted something hot that wasn't a pot of hot water with a few oats floating in it. Because management doesn't feel like having more made and putting them out toward the later part of breakfast service isn't an excuse to not meet Hilton breakfast standards.By the way, folding clean laundry at the front desk in the middle of the lobby is a sure sign of not knowing how to present professional behavior in a business environment. After being denied the late checkout we were previously told was not a problem, we couldn't even sit in the lobby and work because we had to tolerate the employee towel folding party in the guest lobby.Just abysmal that this is how a Hilton property chooses to operate.

5 stars for service from the staff, 1 star for the manager, Danny Vasquez. During my stay he changed how he was handling billing without notifying me, and refused to accommodate requests to help me related to an ADA protected mental disability, stating because he doesn't feel like doing it every week. Instead, Mr. Vasquez has become a nuisance, restricting the staff from touching my account, cutting off access to the room, running excess charges, and making it unpleasant staying at the hotel, stating "you know how hotels work," and without any attempts to communicate or resolve the issues with the customer.

The hotel is a few years old. Desk personnel were very nice. The public areas are well cared for. However, the room carpet had many stains on it. I don't know if they were just so bad that carpet cleaning could not get them or if there was no carpet cleaning done. Everything else in the room was clean . The carpet condition just stood out.The hotel is near a lot of restaurants and is in a safe area.

The first room that we were assigned had large carpet stains, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, food droppings inside the microwave, and the room smelled unpleasant. We returned to the front desk to request another room. The second room was a little better but also had black carpet stains throughout. Also, I wiped off a bloody fingerprint around the bathroom door frame before my fiancee discovered it, because he has a phobia of blood. I was too tired to look for another hotel to stay in that day, so we adjusted. The breakfast was disappointing and barely edible. The indoor pool was advertised as being heated, but was cold. We mentioned it to the front desk guy, who appeared annoyed that we were disturbing his groove, as he was wearing his ear piece and bobbing his head to what we assumed to be music. The new room that they assigned us, was conveniently located near the front entrance, which we liked. They had ample parking and we felt safe because it was well lit. There was a plethora of places to eat in the area, and many of the restaurants were in walking distance.

They have a real bad infestation of stink bugs that’s why it’s stains all over the walls. You call and ask for towels they say can you come and get it but have the nerve to leave a card out for you to tip . I came here just to get away and relax but I can’t cause every time you turn around they crawling on the wall over your bed or the wall.

The worst Hilton brand experience I've had in a long time.Stained carpets, stained furniture, the room smelled like a wet dog and was 80 degrees. The room was gross. The front desk associate was incompetent, so there was no point in asking for a different room.Conditioner and shampoo in the shower was completely empty.Kids playing in the work out room.It was literally just one thing after another. I definitely will not be back to stay at this location ever again.Rooms: Dirty and gross.

After a 12 hour drive, I expected a nicer place to sleep for myself and kids. The staff was friendly, however when we got in our room, we did not have enough towels, no body wash and no bedding for our pullout bed in the room. Later after being in the shower we realized the bottle of shampoo on the wall was completely empty with no body wash either. I had to go down to the front desk about 4 times to get items that were missing from our room, and also only 1 trash can had a bag. Staff did provide the items. The following morning breakfast was less than great. The bananas were rotted, and there were no gluten free or sugar free options available for breakfast. After opening my rotted banana I decided to get a breakfast sandwich instead, and i saw there were gnats everywhere around the breakfast items, and decided to get breakfast elsewhere. When I returned to my room to shower for the morning I realized there were ants crawling around on my bathroom floor. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed. I expected more from the Hilton name :(

Chose based on reviews. We have stayed at many Home2Suites and they are predictably clean large rooms for families or whoever needs 3 separate beds! Dog friendly for a steep fee but usually Home2Suites do not smell as if pets have been in the rooms. This location on Buckeyestown needed better attention to shower cleaning as there was mold on corners of the pan area. The price was reasonable and was just what we needed for one night attending a wedding. Breakfasts have very limited options for gluten or dairy allergies but we appreciate the kitchen en-suite for that purpose. Ask for a complimentary infrared burner and sauté pan for your room at the front desk.Rooms: Very large clean rooms for families! Excellent amenities for cooking light meal

Shelia is the breakfast queen her set up is top notch. The rest of the staff is GREAT as well especially Tomika who called me at 2am to see if I was still coming in, I was running really late and she didn't want to close out untill I checked in. That to me is great customer service. As other reviews have stated, this Home2 has absolutely horrendous hospitality. The original man that helped us was very kind and got us a room two hours prior to our scheduled check in. We booked under a room block for a friend’s wedding and left the hotel around 2:45 for the wedding. When we returned around midnight, our key cards wouldn’t work. We’ve had this issue at other hotels due to the keys being too close to a phone or credit card so we went to the front desk for assistance. The receptionist (who was already very rude to the bride’s parents) informed me that they would not work because we weren’t checked in and that “she understood I had the keys but there was nothing she could do” and that our room had been reassigned without us being notified. She was continuously disrespectful towards me, even after I told her we were fine with another room, we just needed our things out of the original. My fiancé stepped in because he was frustrated with how she was speaking to me and it got even worse from there. At one point she told us the manager (which she claimed to be to the bride’s parents) would be there Monday and we could get our things and a refund then. Mind you, our tooth brushes, chargers, and money were in the room and she was trying to keep us from it. Numerous times she threatened to call law enforcement for us being “aggressive” when all we wanted was our things!!! Eventually she took us up and we gathered our stuff to head back down and go home and she proceeded to just let the elevator door shut in our faces so we had to wait for the next one. The bride wanted us to stay so we could go out and continue to celebrate so her and I went in to try and resolve the situation and Tamika, the receptionist, instantly instigated further conflict by saying “I’ve already started your refund since your partner acted that way”. She walked away from us multiple times, said there was nothing she could do because she didn’t change our room, etc. I would not stay here unless you’re okay with staff that does not care if you have a good stay. I’ve stayed at many Hiltons and this is the only bad experience I’ve ever had.Edit to add: the manager was very responsive and called me back today to remedy the situation and was very apologetic for the way we were treated. So thank you to Colleen for being so helpful so quickly, it is greatly appreciated and I’ve updated my review from 1 star to 3 to reflect this.

Decent location on the main stretch with hotels and plenty of restaurants. There was one elevator working (apparently both had been not working recently, but thank goodness we had something). The breakfast was pretty picked over and sad at 9:30am on a Sunday. I asked if any decaf coffee would be coming out and told no. By the end of the breakfast, they were down to half a canister of regular and hot water. As for the room, the bathroom has a pocket door which was prone to slide open if not latched immediately. It was just something slightly annoying, but manageable. The rest of the room and experience was okay, just not great.

This hotel’s staff are hostile towards guests, be careful. The rooms are disgusting, service is terrible, and the management will not accommodate any improvements. If you have a bad experience (you likely will), skip the hotel management and call Hilton corporate to report the situation (corporate said they get many weekly reports from this hotel).Hilton Corporate provided a full refund (5 stars for them) as this home2suites must be still be experiencing some growing pains.

This hotel and its service ruined my wedding weekend. I reserved the weekend of June 16-18 for my wedding since I would prepare there with my bridesmaids. When I arrived on the 16th, they assigned me a room on the 4th floor and when I asked for the elevator, the receptionist told me that I had to go through the stairs because the elevator was out of service. Seeing me with all my packages, she tells me that she can't do anything because they were nor working. In my frustration I went up and I had to ask for help from some people there because I couldn't do it alone. But the situation worsens when I get to the room. When we go to sleep since the reservation was for 4 people, the sofa bed had no sheets or pillows. I quickly called the reception and asked if they could give me the blankets and pillows that were supposed to be already in the room. The very unfriendly receptionist tells me that they did not have extra sheets or pillows. Without being able to believe it, I asked her to please see if she get me those sheets and pillows even from another room because I paid for that service and it is supposed to be already in the room. The receptionist, unwilling to help, tells me that I can only get one sheet. My bridesmaids couldn't sleep on the sofa bed and we all had to sleep on the uncomfortable bed. The situation continues to worsen as my wedding day arrives on June 17. When I wake up they tell me that the elevator is still out of service and I almost collapsed from frustration. I quickly communicated with reception and this time it was another person who attended me and I asked if she could move us to a room on a floor below since I had to start preparing myself and all my bridesmaids. Imagine me going down 4 floors with my dress? The situation was that 3 hours before my wedding they told me that the elevator was working but I was already resigned that I would have to go down those 4 floors since there was never any help from the hotel. There was never a manager available. Super short staffed and very little to no professionalism. It was all a nightmare. Even after making a complaint with the corporation, no one or the hotel has responded or resolved my displeasure. If I could, I would give this hotel 0 and I would never recommend it.Update: More than 3 weeks no manager or supervisor of the hotel has responded. Thay are avoiding the situation even after the complaint I made with the corporation. Everytime I call there is never a manager available. When the coorporation calls the manager is always on a meeting. They are just avoiding to fix the situation. I totally dont recommend this place.

I will have to join the other recent reviews and provide a 1 star rating for my stay at this hotel. I stayed at this Hilton between 6/19 and left this morning 6/22. I chose this hotel because I stay at the same hotel whenever I am in Orlando. Unfortunately, this site was the total opposite of that one.Where do I begin. The room had the bare minimum when I entered. I sprayed everything with Lysol before unpacking and sanitized all surfaces. I never sit in the sofa or chairs and I bring my own pillow case. I was fortunate to receive a bar of soap for the sink and enough towels for one person for one day. There was someone cleaning a room nearby and I had to go ask her for towels. I really hate having to go ask for items that you would expect in the hotel room especially when you first arrive. I received no housekeeping during my stay and had to keep asking any cleaner who was on the floor cleaning a room for towels everyday. I ended up leaving the used towels outside the room door. The bathroom looked clean enough, however, the mildew lining the bathroom sink and shower was an unpleasant sight for sure. I am so happy I brought my shower slippers! I didn't get the clean feeling that you want from a hotel room. The pillows were so soft that I had to keep folding them to lift my head. The bed was not comfortable at all and I did not sleep well. The carpet in the room had lots of stains which was another eye sore.I only use the microwave and refrigerator (after I clean) because I don't trust how anything is cleaned when the room doesn't feel clean. The AC was probably the one thing that was fine. One elevator was out of order and the other one had issues with opening on the 5th floor. One time it got to the 5th floor and would not open and I was able to get out by pressing the open doors button over and over. The following day when it got to the 5th floor, it again did not open but went back down to the 1st floor. I can't believe I trusted going back in there after that. The 3rd time, after going back to the 1st floor, I got out on the 4th floor and used the stairs to the 5th. Very frustrating.I don't ever eat breakfast at these hotels based on reviews. I grab something at Starbucks or a diner if I am eating with others.Unfortunately, the hotel was the worse part of my visit. I will definitely not be back and would not recommend. I even thought for a minute that maybe my standards have gotten higher but I think it's probably that Hilton has lowered their standards. It's probably time to find another hotel with higher standards.

I’m really sad to have to leave a one star review for this Home2 Suites, because I have had great experiences at other Hilton properties including a great recent stay at the Home2 Suites in Leesburg, VA.We stayed at this location from June 10th 2023 to June 14th 2023 while we were working on moving into our new apartment as part of an active duty military change of station. The rooms were pretty nice with only a little musty smell but comfy beds, good working AC, etc. The breakfast was decent. If the service was even OKAY, I would have given 4 stars at least, but the service was AWFUL.We specifically went to the front desk to request room service in the early AM of June 12th. The lady at the front desk said she would make a note of it to be sure we had our room cleaned and fixed up. We left for the day to work on moving things into our new apartment and came back late (perhaps 10pm), expecting a nice clean hotel room with new towels etc. Instead, NOTHING had been done. Ok…one mess up seems frustrating for a Hilton but not the end of the world. So, we informed the front desk we never had the service we requested and we received NO apology from the lady at the front desk the night of June 12th. She did say that she would again MAKE A NOTE to be sure that we had housekeeping completed on Tuesday June 13th. So we left Tuesday June 13th to work on our apartment again and again returned late around 10:30pm. NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE. This is EXTREMELY poor service and EXCEPTIONALLY rude treatment. I am flabbergasted and disgusted with the complete disregard for customer satisfaction among the hotel staff here.I am now sitting here writing this review in a filthy hotel room with unclean sheets and plenty of dirty towels on the floor (it’s been 3 nights and this is the 4th night, June 13th with our checkout being tomorrow AM). We aren’t going to go to the front desk now at 11pm because it’s obviously too late for housekeeping and we are exhausted. Plus, last night (June 12th), we overheard the EXTREMELY rude front desk lady arguing with and yelling at a customer who had expressed a complaint. We could hear the front desk lady being rude from ALL THE WAY DOWN THE HALL. That is extremely unprofessional behavior, especially for a Hilton.Hilton corporate needs to know about this situation and how their staff is treating active duty military personnel as well as customers in general. Disciplinary action and firing/retraining needs to occur.I expect to hear back from the management and want a refund. And DO NOT SEND ME SOME BOILERPLATE COPY AND PASTE APOLOGY WITH A WEBSITE WHERE I CAN GO AND “PROVIDE FEEDBACK” like you have done with others here!

Stink bugs everywhere. In our room. The hotel itself was in a good location, felt safe, good breakfast and nice little gym facility, but finding 5+ stink bugs in our room everyday took away from the experience. The front desk was great, sent a young man up to our room to spray for them, but the spray didn’t seem to make much of a difference. Unless they got the bug issue under control - it wasn’t just our room with this issue - we unfortunately wouldn’t stay here again.

Kudos x10 to Brian. A last minute search for a room and an incredibly helpful representative at the desk. Aside from the awesome room, excellent security, ease in locating a restaurant just around the block and quiet atmosphere that allowed me to have a blissful rest on CLEAN and comfortable bedding, I found myself being grateful every other hotel was full and I will definitely visit again on my next trip. I highly recommend the Charles Town Hampton Inn to anyone. I stayed in the handicapped equipped room and couldn't have been happier. !!!! This is NOT a compensated review, I am a genuinely happy customer.Rooms: Handicapped equipped, quiet room. Had a safe, ironing board and iron, huge bathroom and wheelchair accessible table, fits and sinks with safety bars around and included a shower chair. Coffee maker and mini fridge. Suite includes a full size couch and a long table also wheelchair friendly, and internet and a big tv. Just a delight!!Nearby activities: Didn't seek out anything except a restaurant. Applebees was my choice... also excellent BTW.Safety: Every perimeter for us locked and needs Card key to enter,. Cameras to capture anything wrong, ample parking space and everyplace I saw was very clean!!Food & drinks: Was offered water upon check in. Complementary continental breakfast provided.Noteworthy details: If you need more details in sure I will think of more once ive left.

This review is for the issues with their booking system. I've been trying to book a room for April 2024 for three months now. The rooms never open up past January and one day in February. I've called and chatted multiple times trying to book a room and apparently no one can book a room until the rooms "open up" on the same system that seems to be having issues. I've given up at this point and have booked a different hotel.Edit: The reply from the business doesn't even address the actual issue. The issue is not lack of availability, it's that rooms are not opening to book now only 8 months in advance. Most hotels open up rooms 12 months in advance.

We booked a handicap accessible room, but got a regular room without any communication beforehand that the room my grandmother *needed* wouldn't be available because someone else extended their stay after we made our reservation. Ian was incredible and the room was nice... for me. But was not at all accommodating for who we booked this room for. Not only is this disappointing but it's just blatantly unacceptable.
