This place is excellent. I have been here 3 times and Dr.Kramer is so compassionate and caring. I am very pleased with the kind service and prompt response of the front desk staff as well. The techs are also very friendly and helpful. Thank you for taking care of my fur babies! (Cat shown was just brought as emotional support for the actual cat being seen lol)

I was impressed with all levels of service at Glade Valley - from phone triage to exam intake. Everyone was considerate and took the time to explain aspects of the exam for an emergency visit for my cat. Cats can be challenging during vet appointments, but everyone seemed experienced and patient. Very thankful they were able to fit us in for an emergency visit.

30+ years of experienced, quality, loving vet care. I wouldn't take my dogs any place else. Dr. Jeff Head is an amazing, knowledgeable and compassionate vet. He explains everything very well and will usually offer more than one treatment plan if it's possible. We really love Dr. Head and our dogs do too! The lobby is configured to keep dogs separated. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My two (now) Yorkies love going to visit them! My adult sons take their dogs there too.

My family’s been going to Glade Valley for the 34 years I’ve been alive and I will continue for all my dogs. You absolutely get what you pay for with them! Dr.Ramirez is great for my two needy dogs and does whatever it takes to give them the best care. Including rolling around on the floor under their belly to get the best position for blood work or doing an exam outside under a tree. She’s fantastic! The other doctors are as well. They give the best care for our fur babies!

Glade Valley is the best vet in the area - I have no complaints. If it weren't for them, one of my dogs would still have been misdiagnosed and most likely wouldn't be with me anymore. They were able to correctly diagnose her and she's been doing great since then.

Dr. Krammer is wonderful. I trust her with my kitties. I think the whole staff is fabulous. My experience with doctor Krammer and all the vets and vet techs there that have cared for my cats has been great and Sarah and all the front end staff are wonderful. Everyone is patient, kind, understanding of all concerns and professional. Every single person there that has tended to my cats and to me has been amazing.

My daughter’s cat started losing weight within a week and was very ill , refusing to eat and vomiting. I took her to her regular vet and was told she needed an ultrasound asapHer regular vet wasn’t able to get one for another 5 days. I called Glade Animal Hospital early in the morning & was able to be seen for a consult and ultrasound within the hour.Unfortunately the cat has terminal lymphoma but thanks to the doctor and very caring staff I was able to get her on a steroid/ medications that got her eating again. We are grateful that we can buy her a little extra time with us

Glade Valley Animal Hospital in Walkersville, MD is an amazing facility with fantastic people. I have been coming here since before it existed, in the ‘70s when it was attached to a farmhouse and run by Dr Lynch. I have childhood memories bringing my first puppy here, and my family and I have brought all our cats and dogs to this establishment. All the people here are amazing. We recently lost our beloved family dog, Toby, to an incurable illness. The veterinarian and staff were so understanding and sympathetic; I cannot express my gratitude for their patience and care during an extremely difficult time. I would never think of taking a pet anywhere else. In my family, Glade Valley is synonymous to love and compassionate veterinary care.Thank you, to all the vets and staff; it will be a long time before we bring another dog into our life, but if it happens, Glade Valley will be the first stop. I have been coming to Glade Valley Animal Hospital for over 20 years.This practice is 5-star! The doctors, techs and front desk staff consistently provide professional and caring service for all my pets. During our most recent annual check up for our 2 cats, Dr. Derrenbacher & the 2 techs. were so gentle with our cats, who are truly "Scaredy Cats". They put a lot of time and effort into making the cats feel relaxed and at ease during the exam. They never rush through the process. My husband and I always feel welcome and that our pets are their number one priority. Thanks for always taking such good care of my cats!

Great friendly and caring staff! They got me in quickly when I really needed vaccinations for my doggy day care. We were new to town and they were very accomodating. The staff was very knowledgeable, explained to me how to take care of my fur baby and I loved my Google coupon for a free exam for Milo! Nice doctor that spent time with us. We will be back!

I have been using Glade Valley for 37 years. I think that speaks for itself ! Their compassion has been extraordinary. I have always received a lovely sympathy card when one of my furbabies goes to the Bridge. They have made donations to pet charities in their memory. Perhaps the most meaningful gesture though was made 27 years ago when my infant son died. I received a beautiful note from the entire staff offering their condolences. It meant so much. They are family !

my cat stopped eating or drinking. my cat is very anti-vet, she fought fiercely every step of the way, but the vet and techs still got her diagnosed and treated. and they were gentle as they could be with her while doing it. she's home now and doing much betterthey also gave me price estimates before testing or procedures which i appreciated. i would have paid anything but it's nice that they were upfronti've called them a few times with questions and they havent let me down. if the person who answers the phone didn't know the answer they find someone who doesthank you Glade Valley team. highly recommend

The entire Glade Valley team is amazing. I've been overwhelmed caring for my elderly uncle and his cat, Otis after they came to our home unexpectedly. But everyone from the first appointment call to ongoing post-visit follow ups has made us feel at ease in caring for Otis.I'm sorry I don't remember your front desk attendant's name, but they were so so great at answering questions and rescheduling when Otis wasn't compliant in getting into the carrier for our first visit. Emily was so patient during our intake meeting and Dr. Derrenbacher is very kind and did a great job explaining his observations/care plan.It's wonderful to see talented professionals doing something they love and caring for others. Thank you for being a great support to our family!

Called in to get 2 cats to be seen together for a quick nail trim as they were getting them caught. Full retraction was being hindered an we were afraid of an injury to them as a result. I was able to get both right in right away and all went well. One cat's rear paws were ok as is so they reduced the normal charge. Great service from all there. Will be bringing them back there whenever they need to be.

I can’t remember the names of everyone yet but the receptionist who took my paperwork and to my room was so kind. The vet tech who was with Dr. Ramirez yesterday (1/18/24) was exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Ramirez is kind yet firm in a way that makes you understand why what I read on the internet was bad info! And absolutely everyone has a great attitude and a wonderful sense of humor!

I have been taking my elderly cat and dog to Glade Valley AH for about 15 months. The whole staff are wonderful. They are kind, compassionate, friendly and very professional. Due to the age of my pets and their various issues I have been quite a frequent visitor. Each time I go I have felt so comfortable with everyone. They all have amazing attention to detail! I switched over to Glade Valley because my vet wouldn’t do a certain surgery for my one dogs eye. She needed up getting a cleaning and teeth pulled which were bad I decided to bring my other dog over since he has some loose teeth. They got blood work from him which in itself was a miracle I like the girls there and I especially like the itemized bill they give you for what to expect to pay My other vet is good too but all the good doctors have left and it’s owned by someone else now. I was recommended to go to Glade Valley. So far I’m very pleased with thecare they gave my dogs it’s a bit of a drive to get there but so far it’s worth it. Plus i haven’t been made to wait! Which was an issue at my other vet office. I’ve been there 2 times since my initial visit and I still really like them. They always are on time fast to check In and don’t make me wait with a nervous dog

I was so happy with how quickly you guys were able to get Dodger in for his ear surgery. And thank you to Dr. D for always taking such great care of Dodger. Thank you to Dr. McAdams for doing such a wonderful job with Dodger’s surgery. And to all other hospital who were there and helped out with Dodger while he was there. We also really appreciated the check-in call we received the day after his surgery that really meant a lot and showed us you guys really care about your patients and their owners. So a big thank you to you guys for everything after a long and stressful weekend.

I will sing the praise of this animal Hospital, doctors and staff. They are the most amazing thing that I have discovered while moving up to this area. I recently had my Frenchy have an unexpected litter. I called several different places, and this was one of the places that took me, and immediately cared for my dog, as if it was their own. Every single staff member and person that I ran into and this facility had the greatest personality, demeanor, and made you felt great. I went to one vet and was not satisfied due to the lack of information and that fill-in that I just wasn’t comfortable. Well, this place definitely is nowhere near that. They gave you so much information. It’s almost like you’re going to a doggy college. Not only did they educate me on what I needed to do they continuously called and made sure that the animal was ok and also checked on my well being . I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Please, if you’re anything like me and decided to get a breed of dog that’s complicated before educating yourself. These people will help educate you and take care of your baby. Without judgment, or looking at you like you’re a little slow 💙

I bring my dog Finch into Glad Valley Animal Hospital every six weeks for an injection. I wouldn’t choose any other vet in the area with my dog. Each time I’m there, the staff always greet us with a smile. Love this clinic ❤️

Overall my experience at Glade Valley was great! The staff were so incredibly sweet over the phone and even in the office when I arrived. I really appreciated that they were able to get me an appointment so quickly while being a new patient. Dr Krammer was fantastic; I really appreciated her honesty, knowledge and patience. I'm so glad to know we have a great vet in Frederick anytime we're in town visiting our family and my two cavaliers will be well taken care of whenever we need to see a vet. HIGHLY recommend Glade Valley!

Dr. Ramirez and her assistants gave our dog a good examination and calmed him as much as they could without medication. Update: On a follow-up visit Dr. Ramirez was very understanding and helpful un the care of our dog within financial constraints. She also called us earlier than expected with the results of his blood test.

This was by far the most comforting and caring team that we could have ever asked for as we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our family pets. They took such good care of them in their final hour and allowed our family all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. The best experience in the most difficult time. I highly recommend them for any pet needs.
