While it’s true that overall prices can be higher than other places, if you shop the sales and use your reward points for products and gas it somewhat evens out. Well stocked store with lovely, fresh produce. Store employees are helpful and pleasant. In particular, I’m impressed with Nicholas whom I normally see at the self check out area. He is helpful, kind and incredibly patient. I have witnessed interactions with rude and/or impatient customers and Nicholas never loses his cool. Just solves the problem and moves on. My experience at this pharmacy has also been better than average. Two employees in particular stand out for me because of their pleasant demeanor, helpfulness and again, their extraordinary patience with customers. Shout out to Angeline Gan and Manisha Shuttlewood!

Recently, I bought 2 cans of milk and a few other items in this store. After I paid for it at the self-checkout i wanted to switch one of the milk cans. I left my bags with the store clerk at the checkout counter, letting her know I am going to get another milk can. When I came back there was a supervisor checking my bags. I told him those are mine. He asked the store clerk if I paid for it. I felt weird why he asked that question since nothing goes out without paying for it. I felt insulted, since I am not white and that's why he is asking that question. May be he would not have asked that question if I were white.I feel this place is profiling people on their color. It is unfortunate I have no choice since there is no other grocery store in this neighborhood and I have no choice if I need anything at the last minute.

Great selections! Clean store and great attendants. They even have arroz con leche, unique selections, la fermiere clay pot yogurt, and Asian foods. Good baby food selection and sale. Cool store

I’ve been shopping at this giant for many years. It just gets worse overtime. Closing one side of the grocery store is very inconvenient no matter the reason. How long do you plan to prevent “theft”? Next time I see an employee standing behind me at the self checkout, I will be the one recording and reporting it to the BBB. This place discriminates based on race. I felt uncomfortable and violated. I don’t have a need to steal. As if the cameras aren’t enough. This giant is a disgrace! Customer service and quality of food!

Can't search the store for items in stock makes this store archaic. I also feel they are overpriced because they know that people don't want to drive an extra 20 mins

Very nice store, clean, well stocked and very helpful customer service. Ample parking. Attendant keeping basket parking cleaned out carts brought back quickly and sanitized for quick turn around. Tucked in a quaint very picturesque location, yet easy assessment to all surrounding homes near by. A very good store to visit, lots of great bargains. 👍

Went in there today only had $30 cash on me and had 82 cents left to pay, I ask her if she could take a item off and instead she decided to pay the 82 cents for me such kind workers in there her name was Mary so if you see this thank you so much I owe you ❤️❤️

Prices are high. I never buy anything that is not on at Giant. They blocked the door closest to the pharmacy to prevent theft. I don't believe we have a theft problem in Urbana, but they could at least make it easier for the sick and elderly picking up meds. I am looking into food delivery rather than go to this store :(

The store is clean and produce is relatively fresh. But they often run out of the things I like to buy and their prices are crazy high. You can definitely find comparable items elsewhere for cheaper. But the convenience of them being in Urbana is nice.

Pleasant experience with the pharmacy. I am handicapped and parked in a handicapped spot on the side of the store that said pharmacy on the side of the building…makes sense right? However, those doors were closed. I had to walk all the way to the other entrance, back the full length of the store to the pharmacy and then reverse to get back to my car. I have 30% lung capacity and am disabled. That may not seem to bad of a walk, but for me it was very difficult. I asked customer service if the doors down there were closed because it was a holiday or if they were always closed? Also explained where I parked and why. The response was a total brush off saying, “ They’re always closed. So I guess you should park on this side from now on.” Then, she turned to continue her conversation with her coworkers. Not the service that you would expect from the guest services counter…

Worst Grocery store ever, if you are black or dark skin they are going to send an army of employees to follow you all store. They look that they don't have cameras to watch you. In the other hand if you are white you are welcome the cashier talk to you. But if you have dark skin the cashier does not said hito you....

The bathroom is so disgusting. I can’t use the bathroom anymore! It smells so awful. The bathroom looks like it has never been cleaned, and there aren’t any toilet seat paper!? The toilets are so nasty, and the floor is so filthy. The stalls have never been cleaned too! The stalls are so dirty, and the stall handle is so difficult to open the door. There are molds growing in the air conditioner. This Giant Food is lazy to clean the bathrooms, and it seems they do not want to fix the bathroom too. And, one more thing, the hand dryer has got to be the most disgusting part out of everything.

This is just my experience at the customer service desk around noon and 1 pm. I asked the lady behind the counter to break my 20 and she said that Urbana Giant stopped doing it. I asked her when they implemented that policy and she fumbled with her response and proceeded to say something about money being flimsy washy...not sure what that means. I have been shopping at Giant at different locations all over the DMV for as long as I can remember. This is the first time that I have been treated like this. Really disappointed

Be extremely careful about their meats. Some, you can instantly tell from the color that it’s gone bad. Others, you get home and under the sticker or the underside of the meat is bad. Produce is hit-or-miss. I feel like it’s gone downhill over the past few years.

I once gave this store a 2 star rating, but seriously things have improved dramatically. Now it's a store I trust. Great fresh produce. The store is clean, aisles are easy to maneuver, and well organized. I find most things I need, but I still wish I could pre-order a special cut off meat as with some other grocery chains that have a good butcher. Great store otherwise.

I only go here because it's close by and the fruit is fresh. Prices are higher than other grocery stores, but the fresh fruit is worth it.What bothers me is that some of the staff do not have common courtesy. Simple things like, "excuse me," "pardon me," or even putting the trolley they are unloading in a way not to block an aisle would be very much appreciated. On our recent visit, the person unloading fruit had the trolley in the middle, and as my son and I tried to get between the trolley to go down the aisle, I almost got wacked with fruit. No apology or even a single word from the associate.Whilst I understand there is a labor shortage, I refuse to put up with no courtesy.Definitely NOT recommended.

I bought magnum ice cream for the kids and my kids were eating it and later found it was full of mold.When I called CUSTOMER SERVICE, they didn't say sorry first, they said, "What do you want?" I felt really bad. Food is so important to health, but the attitude of not asking what brand it is or what condition it is is a grocery store and its staff who do not know what is important.

This is my local grocery store. I have been shopping here for close to 10 years. For the last 5 it is walking distance.The store is bright and open. Just nice staff at the deli counter and the seafood counter and at the pharmacy and everyone else.The staff is friendly and helpful. Team members have come after me in the parking lot when I have forgotten a bag or my bonus card. They have held my cart after checkout while I run home to get the wallet that I had forgotten.

Our first time shopping at this Giant was a very positive experience considering it was Christmas Eve day!! The staff is very helpful & the store was well stocked. So happy we'll be shopping at this store!
