Although I am relatively new to Dogtopia, my experience there so far has been positive. I've had the opportunity to spend time and talk with the General Manager (Victor), the Assistant Manager (Jesse), the Pet Parent Coordinator (Brie), the Shift Leader/Rover (Genesis), and the Canine Coaches (Ryan, Josh, and Tyler). These people are sincere, knowledgeable, and truly love dogs. They take pride in their work. I love the positive energy that they exude--you can tell this is not just a paycheck for them and that providing quality care for the dogs is their utmost priority!

Every time I drop my dog off for boarding they either have the wrong amount of days or charging extra for something they have never charged me before. I have never had any consistency since starting there. Multiple times they have double charged me as well. The cameras also barely ever work when I go on to check on my dog. I will most likely be switching to camp bow wow as I have never had any issues with payments or cameras there

One of our biggest regrets was using this place. Don’t do it. If something happens to your dog you can’t see the tape trust me we know. On top of that they will give you the run around. As well, our dog was bit here for some context. Want to know what else? ITS PATHETIC that IF we didn’t pay for a Spa Day that day our dog would have came home with a whole in her neck. I’m being serious unfortunately. They found it because of the spa. They told us a staff checked our dog after our dog was attacked here and found nothing. Did they cover the charge of course they did but there’s that for you.We tell all our friends what happen and they dodge this place like the plague. Seriously don’t do it and they truly can careless about the dogs. If you love your dog this is not the place to go. I’ll reiterate if we didn’t pay for a Spa Day…on that day… they would have sent my dog home with a whole in her neck. 👎🏽This was a year and half ago to my dog Lily June 2021.

One of our biggest came true in this place. We were looking for a place where I could day our dog Max for daycare (for socialization mostly) and also board. During the meet and greet all was great, include first day of daycare. We were having a special event and therefore decided to board Max for 1 night only. I was shown the suite and made arrangements to reserve with the manager. Saturday we drop off at 9am, his dog bed, food, and medication. Max has severe separation anxiety and I confirm suite would be best because he cannot tolerate being left alone in crate for too long. I confirm with the front desk girl I will be picking up at 9am Sunday, though outside of regular hours they confirmed would put note for the morning staff. I get there and no one is there, I can hear Maxie’s bark from the outside. I peak inside and he was in a crate where he could barely stand. He looked panicked. 9:30 came around and still no one there, sent out an email to the location and finally get a call from the manager. He apologized and confirmed someone would be getting there shortly. Young lady gets there 9:45am, she apologized and I asked why he was in the crate, she advised probably because of after his breakfast. Then she shows me picture of how he was found when the morning staff got there. I then realized he was never put into the suite. He spend the whole night in the crate, he bend the metal nada and he physically hurt himself. They apologized again and confirmed they made a mistake. Manager refunded my money but what they don’t realize is all the damage they have cost to my pup. He came home with scratches so deep around his nose, paws, varies part of his body. He was a pup who didn’t like the crate but would tolerate it to now being completely afraid. He had blood in his stool for days. Please be careful in taking your dogs here. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. It’s been 3 weeks since the experience and he even cries if we drive by it. The manager did try to apologize and confirm a mistake was made but I will never go back to that place. Trust was completely broken.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE A NEGATIVE 100 I would this is the second time they have abused one of my dogs I watched them on cameras all day and they said my dog was attacking other dogs which wasn’t the case and they yank her off the floor by her collar and by a slip lead by genesis and Josh they want to call me and dismiss my dogs but I’ve worked there and they keep dogs that attack other dogs and send them to the emergency pet hospital I will be pressing charges DONT TAKE THEM HERE

My girl Skye is always so happy and tired when I pick her up! Everyone is kind, welcoming and very affectionate with the dogs. Not only that, but they are always keeping the floors clean of any mess they find!

We have a young dog and a senior dog. We were worried that the age difference wasn't allowing our young dog to play and, well, be young. We decided to try day care to give her a safe place to play with dogs closer to her own age and energy levels.A friend of the family recommended Dogtopia and we're really glad she did. It was really easy to get everything set up for her meet and greet and from the minute we walked in the door we felt welcomed and excited. Cat and Victor were really friendly and informative before, during, and after Stevie's meet and greet.Stevie's first day in day care went great. I really appreciate getting to check in on her through the Web cams. This was as new for us as it was for her, so I was nervous. At first she seemed unsure so she kind of sat back and observed, but then she warmed up and interactive with the staff member in the room as much as the other dogs. The man in the room was attentive to all the dogs. From making sure play didn't get too rough, cleaning up potty accidents really quickly, and taking the time to give skritches and kisses on request (there were a lot of these. This says a lot about him, dogs are great judges of character!).I do wish I had gotten his name or been able to thank him personally. I didn't think to ask. We were able to see that Stevie was safe and cared for...and really happy. We're definitely going to have to do this more regularly!

I have a 2 year-old Aussiedoodle and have been taking him to Dogtopia in Frederick for both day care and boarding since he was a puppy. The team at Dogtopia is wonderful - they genuinely love the dogs in their care. Bailey thoroughly enjoys his time there and gets excited every time we're in the car and he realizes this is where we are headed! Leaving Bailey in hands we can trust is incredibly important to us. We are really grateful to have Dogtopia as an option in Frederick and would highly recommend them!!

I brought my pup to Dogtopia during my contract in Frederick, and so far I am very pleased. Victor, Cat, and Monica were extremely helpful from the beginning, and had taken Bentley in as a part of the family already! Each concern/reservation I’ve had so far, Victor has gone above and beyond to remedy them. I appreciate everyone here, and I recommend Dogtopia for anyone who wants to explore daycare options.

My husband and I send our 4 month old yellow lab puppy for half days of play at Dogtopia in the morning and he absolutely loves it there! He is exhausted when he leaves which allows us to get work done at home because he naps all afternoon. The staff is great and greets out dog by name when he arrives. I love that I can watch our boy play on the web cams and see that he is making friends.

Click lowest reviews and read the previous comments about dog attacks and unsanitary conditions. The place smells absolutely terrible, and they treat animals, employees and customers with a complete lack of respect. Before thinking about leaving your pet with this place, take a moment to read the company’s comments to the reviews left. Every negative review is not a former employee this is a way of deflecting the real problems of this company and trying to save face. I have not been employed by this place and the stench from walking into this place I wouldn’t dare be a customer. There’s literal reviews saying that company recognized CUSTOMERS dogs have come home smelling awful. Probably because they’ve been sitting in a feces infested kennel. -a real (non employee) with a real review. Do better dogtopia

Leaving 2 stars because there are definitely worse places to go and have never had any direct issues with staff. However this incident does warrant a 1 star as I won't be returning and won't be referring anyone.Did a three night boarding over the weekend (Friday afternoon-Monday afternoon) and received a report card with praises my dog did well, "Pepper plays hard but knows when it is time to rest" We noticed she was limping and once home she was shaking not wanting to move out of her bed. We inspected to find multiple puncture wounds on her ear, front leg, and the worst being her back thigh. Emergency Vet said that based on healing the incident happened on first or second day of her stay. They cleaned her up and gave us antibiotics and pain medication but warned us to keep constant supervision of her back leg because of the severity and potential for complications that could lead to surgery. She is able to limp walk but is heavily sedated from pain medication. Returning to the vet to check progress of her healing at the end of the week.Called and spoke with GM and Owner who were both very professional stating it was noted her and another dog got caught on each other's collars while playing and panicked but were immediately attended to, nothing else was noticed nor injuries documented. (other than taking time to treat crate rub on her nose, which is a typical thing for my dog and why I don't take her to places she's in a crate for an extended amount of time) We are receiving a full refund for our last stay due to the situation. Want to state that there is an understanding these things can happen with open play times and accepted that risk- however we won't be returning due to the oversight, not informing us, and potential that this injury could have been much worse had it gotten infected in the days it wasn't treated. This review is for Frederick, MD Dogtopia with Pepper under a different last name than referenced on this Google user account. Attached image description: back of dog's upper right thigh with two puncture wounds 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch in size.

Nice place. Extremely caring staff. My puppy was always so excited to get into the day care area and didn't want to leave. He would go to sleep in the car and come home and crash after dinner :-) . I will take a video of the place next time. It is so funny seeing the dogs chasing each other and jumping all over the caring staff. They said he had the most energy of all the puppies. Prices are also reasonable. He has been going there till recently when I started working from home. Now he destroys anything he can get his hands on if I don't take him out.

I took my dog for her first experience. When I pick her up in the evening she was smelling terribly! She was smelling like pee! I had to take her for a bath on the following day. Her paws were incredibly dirty that even using the wipes it was not enough. The staff was friendly but this is not where I want to keep my dog at. Specially bc my dog has a lot of fur.I saw on the cameras that one dog peed on the floor and other male dogs peed as well on the same spot on the floor out of the fake grass, however I don't think the staff that it was working inside the room noticed because when I was watching through the camera I did not see them taking action to clean it.

I'm shocked that this location has 4 stars. We boarded our dog for 1 night and we will never go back! He came home visibly dirty and smelled terrible. There is no outdoor area so the dogs just pee/poop on a small patch of fake grass or right on the floor. To top it off, he was ill when he got home as well. Vomiting and diarrhea for 3 days. The staff seems nice and friendly, but there is no way this place is kept clean enough with all those dogs in small rooms and no outdoor space. I regret not trusting my gut with sending him elsewhere.

My dog loves it here! I would take her every weekday if I could afford it. She always comes home happy and tired. The staff are very friendly and it's obvious they love my dog. I've caught one of the room attendants giving her a kiss on the head when I take a look at the webcams they have in the rooms. The only thing I wish they had was an outdoor area.

Nice place for dog daycare and also for overnight. We kept our dog once for daycare and next time for 3 days of overnight. Best part is you get to see your dog through camera from morning 6.30 in morning to 7ish in evening. They keep big dog and small dog separate and constantly one person around them to take of them. Place deserves 5 star but I gave 4 star because my furry dog smells everytime as they in same of their waste.

My dog was attacked and his head was busted open! My sister took our dog to Dogtopia and they were negligent and he was attacked by a big. He had to be rushed to the animal hospital and lost a lot of blood. He is only 10 pounds!!!! They are even allowing the large dog who attacked our dog to still come to this doggy daycare. I am completely heart broken! Our dog nearly lost his life. That fact that the dog who attacked our dog is still able to come to the facility to possibly attack another dog is unbelievable. It wasn’t like it was a small back this dog latch at the top of our dog’s head and all of his neck. If I could’ve have give this place a zero I would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE EVER!!! It is by the grace of God that the dog didn’t rip his entire head off of his 10 pound body. NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! EVER THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL! I attached photos of the attack in the picture section

From out of town and wanted my pups to have a spa day while we are stuck in a hotel. Dogtopia requires a mandatory "meet and greet" appt before they will spa or daycare. The appt times were peppered within the hours that most people work, 9am, 10am and 3pm. So even though I wanted to throw my money at this place, they made it impossible. Kudos.

Dogtopia of Frederick took great care of my dog when she got sick while boarding. They treated her with extra care and even bathed her before she left. Special thanks to all of you!

My friend is boarding her pupper there and was watching on the webcam. She saw her dog needing to pee and not quite understanding the concept. We called and spoke with someone there to see if they could leash her and take her to the fake grass spot to try to show her what to do. They did and haha and it was just nice seeing somewhere care about what's going on
