Dr. Doherty is an amazing Veterinarian! All of our dogs past and present have been patients at Fork Vet. Takes his time and does amazing work as a Vet and a person! Thankful all the hard work he does. Great surgeon! Our newest addition just had surgery to spay her and she is acting like nothing ever happened. Just keeping her calm as a lab always wants to play ball. One more week of restriction but everything was perfect! Found a new solution to our anxious Shepherd mix with a different combination of meds and he has been doing amazing with the self destructive chewing and itching! Thank you Fork Vet and all personnel. Great staff too!

My fur babies have been coming here for 15+ years and I cannot say enough great things. From the best of times to the worst, they show so much compassion and make you feel so comfortable and heard. Dr D and the amazing team give great advice and care and will discuss options with you for the best and most humane treatment plans. You can tell they are all animal lovers and want the best for your fur baby.

The staff is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! Dr. D is the best vet ever. He doesn't rush you through the exam. He is patient and kind to everyone, but especially to the clients that have been around a while. The whole staff is very sympathetic when you lose a pet because they know that it was a family member who was lost, not just a pet.

Dr. Doherty, Dawn and Teri are wonderful. Today was my first visit with our two orange tabby’s. The office staff is warm and welcoming- kind and attentive. Both of my cats got car sick on the way to the vet and Dawn helped me out by giving me a bag to place their bed pads in and some towels so they would be comfortable on the way home. Dr. D listened to my questions and took time to respond and care for each cat. I could tell today had been a long and busy day for them all and am glad to see how the staff is attentive to each patient and with each pet family. So grateful to my friend that recommended this veterinary hospital.

A wonderful experience to say the least! Dr. Doherty was fantastic, and Dawn was an absolute sweetheart! During this time where we are not allowed inside due to COVID, it can be hard to trust vet offices to give your animals the best care. In this instance, I had no issues trusting this wonderful location to care for my kitten to the best of their abilities. I would highly recommend this institution to anyone looking for a new vet.

Dr. Doherty is a superb vet. He’s performed surgery on two dogs and a cat for us, all of whom recovered beautifully. He handled a difficult euthanasia for a beloved dog with grace and sympathy. Highly recommended.

I'm not one to take the time to write reviews but made time today to do it because of the exceptional care that Dr. Doherty and his staff give to our fur babies. We moved to the area about 5 years ago and were so blessed to find their office close to our home. They have been taking great care of our Shih Tzu and Tabby cat. Dr. Doherty and his staff are so caring and compassionate and it shines through every visit. When our cat came down with a feline disease Dr. Doherty told us exactly what to expect and how much time she had. Even when he was in surgery all day he found the time to call me back to answer a question I had about our pet. When the time came to put her to rest he and his assistant (Terry) showed so much compassion and handled our kitty with such love. This meant so much to us and we will never forget it. I highly recommend Dr. Doherty and his staff.

I have been going to Fork Vet since 1998. A golden retriever and a black lab lived long, happy lives -- 15 & 16 years old. The care is perfect. It's exactly what you'd want for your pet. No nonsense but compassionate. Dr. Doherty is the only vet, so he knows your pet well. He would never recommend costly tests or procedures that are not absolutely needed. Now, our puppy will be starting there in a couple weeks.

Dr. Doherty and Fork Veterinary keep our service even after we've moved 40 minutes away. Honest care even when multiple, expensive procedures are an option. He also takes the time to look at any dog that comes in for grooming just because he cares so much. He found a tumor on our black lab when we brought her in for grooming and follow-up tests revealed she had cancer. We would have never caught it that soon had Dr. Doherty not put in the extra time and care. Highly recommend this doctor and his practice.

I took my mixed gsp to him. She had a tumor on her jaw muscles so she couldnt open her mouth. he was honest with his her treatment and the chances of her recovery. he didnt try to push useless procedures that would have put my girl in pain. very honest animal lover
