I was surprised how accommodating they were for the most part given our senior cat’s long term pillow foot (podedermititis) issues. They said they didn’t carry the injectables but also don’t recommend it. They prescribed and high recommended the oral meds which my partner fees stresses out our senior cat more. So we shall see how it goes… The fish tank in the lobby is a fun touch though.

Absolutely thankful that we switched from our old vet to Hickory Veterinary. Jocko was so happy and comfortable no stress at all. Everyone there was very nice and great with Jocko!

Baylor went to rehab at Hickory after his TPLO surgery. They have a very comprehensive rehab program including massage, exercises, light therapy, and the underwater treadmill. Dr.Lyle and Lauren were knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough! Baylor healed quickly, and I truly believe rehab helped him tremendously in his recovery! I highly recommend Dr.Lyle and Hickory’s rehab program!

Never going back. They care more about making an extra buck than maintaining customer relationships/loyalty.I've been coming to this vet for years and have always followed their care plan and stayed up to date on my dog’s appointments and vaccinations. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here and referred friends here. This year my dog was not due for her annual check-up until June. It’s April now, and a new groomer requested a vet letter, because my dog is over 10 years old, simply stating there’s nothing prohibiting my dog from getting groomed. Hickory refused to provide this letter unless I came in and made an appointment and paid for an office visit. This is so unacceptable, unfair, and a greedy shady move. My dog who has already been to her check-up this year is required to be seen JUST FOR A LETTER TO GIVE PERMISSION TO BE GROOMED. This was not anything out of the ordinary - just a bath and haircut. There are not any current health issues that would prevent my dog from being groomed and she has not previously had health issues that would prevent her from being groomed. What a scam.Update - I brought my dog to Banfield and specifically asked about collapse trachea and they informed me this would not prevent a dog from being groomed. Not to mention the fact that Hickory’s intention with their reply is to further argue with and try to discredit a customer on the internet instead of giving them a phone call. Proving my ultimate point that their customer relationship management needs to improve if they want to earn a 5 star rating.

Hickory Veterinary Hospital actually has staff that answers the phone when a call is placed. I was able to make a same day new pet appointment for my Cavachon. We were taken back to the exam room on time. The staff is friending and caring. The facility is clean and accommodating. A follow-up phone call with lab results was given the next day by the veterinarian who took care of my furbaby as stated at the initial appointment. I highly recommend Hickory Veterinary Hospital.

Everyone at the The Hickory Veterinary Hospital from start to finish took such great care of my cat Mike. He was overdue for several vaccinations and I felt good knowing he was being cared for by the kind and professional staff. I will continue going there for all of my pets needs.

I had a positive experience with Dr. Silcox he was truly patient with my questions and his answers he made me feel as though Reba is special to him as well as to me! I would like my vet to feel like family to us and so far so good! I am happy with my choice of veterinary care for my new pup! She will be a handful I am glad I have them to rely on!! Our four-legged critters always have such a positive experience with Hickory! Dr McNesby is our favorite, but we have seen all the doctors, I believe, and have had nothing but positive experiences with each staff member. We have two big dogs that are both on necessary medication, an insano cat, and a sweet little kitten, and they are all greeted with warmth and affection and treated with kindness and respect in a timely manner. Medications are filled as needed with no problem, and they can always get the aptly named Frankenstein in in a flash for a nail trim. We will continue to bring our pets to Hickory for years to come!

The entire staff was awesome. Doctor Silcox explained to the kids and I everything we needed to know about raising a new puppy. Our puppy even got a nice complementary Christmas photo taken by them. Highly recommend.

Back to the vets once again! Our first appointment this time was with Dr.Snyder. mom and I found her to be not only professional and thorough, but as friendly as could be! She also has a few Chihuahua fur babies at her oh, so I was glad that Jenny at the office referred her:-) The doctors and staff seemed very friendly and knowledgeable ! Our experience was wonderful, from start to finish and all 100 of my bothersome phone calls between.We were in the process of switching to Hickory Veterinary Hospital for both our girls Maizy & Phoenix. However, Maizy was already recovering from a dewclaw injury, and we felt it wasn't going well. We asked if we could accelerate her future yearly visit so the vet could take a look. The vet was happy with everything but instructed us to not apply the bandage anymore and use the cone of shame instead, only if she starts licking it.So far Maizy has been very very good and is listening to the Doctor. She has some slips and forgets, and we remind her and she stops like a good girl. She hasn't had the cone on as much days 2 and 3 so fingers crossed I don't have to look at her with that evil thing on! LOLYes, my wife and I are very glad we switched to Hickory Veterinary Hospital,, very happy indeed.Everyone there is wonderful, and obviously very dedicated!Thank you all!

Each time I’ve taken my cat, Dorito, in for his annual exam every person I come in contact with is friendly and helpful. I had quite a few questions during my last visit about my cat’s behaviors and my options. They sat with me and discussed through them, not feeling rushed at all. It truly feels like everyone at Hickory genuinely cares about your pet. It has been a great experience each time.

With so many parking spots to choose from, I walked in with my cat and only waited moments before a room was available. They left us alone so that we could become comfortable, which set the vibe for the entire visit. My usually stressed, hissing, and snarling cat was chill and relaxed during the visit. Super thankful and blessed to have found this spot! Thanks to the staff and those who make the environment wonderful! (She especially liked the fish tank!)

This place is AMAZING! ALL the staff are friendly and helpful! I have a dog and cats that they take care of all thier health needs and NOT once have they not done an amazing job with my animals. Even in emergency situations they have made the time to get my animals in and given them the best care possible. If you're looking for a vet in this area this is definitely where you want to go.

I recently moved and needed a new vet. The staff was helpful and remarkably had my pet come in the same day for an appointment. I love Hickory Veterinary Hospital!!I have the upmost respect for each Veterinarian and staff member here. They have taken excellent care of my 3 dogs and 2 cats for their wellness.When the occasion arises that one of my beloved pets becomes sick or injured, they will always make them a priority.. even if the schedule is tight!I lost 3 pets last year, it was a tough year. Each time my pet became sick, the Vets guided me through all my treatment options and the prognosis with knowledge and compassion. It’s a gift during such a difficult time to know the Doctors and Staff genuinely care, and are invested in a favorable outcome.I will continue to recommend Hickory Veterinary Hospital to anyone needing care for their pets!!Laura
