My family and I had an unfortunate accident causing us to have a shattered window and we reached out to this company for help. Not only were they on top of helping us, but they had our new glass installed in less than 24 hours of the accident! Having an older home, it can be difficult to find a company willing to help with such a task and on such a time crunch. Matt and the Griggs & Son crew are far beyond what we could have expected. Thank you so very much for your service and support through this. We wouldn’t trust anyone else with our home and the safety of our family.

One month later. And I get a call from Diane telling me that they need to reschedule. What takes so damn long to replace a double window panel with grid? Lack of efficiency and consistency. Care less attitude from contractors and companies such as this one is why I’ll take my business elsewhere in the future. Horrible with turn around times

Griggs and Son was recommended by my Facebook friends who are in real estate rehab business. I was looking for recommendations for the shower glass door for the mast bath renovation I was doing. The owner came out did the initial consultation when the framing was done. He gave us good suggestions on what to choose with practical terms . I felt he really put the best interest of homeowners at the 1st place, not like some sales people who only interested getting a high commission by upselling things you don't really need. After the tile work is completed, they sent out a tech to do actual measurements to prepare for glasses. This tech is very experienced and pointed out some concerns he had for the tile work which might interfere with the operation of the glass door later. I connected him with our tile guy, they talked, and my tile guy came back and corrected a few things as per their conversation. During the installation, everything went smoothly and worked out perfectly. I highly recommend Griggs and Son to anyone who has any needs for glass related projects. Take a look at their project photos on their Facebook, you will see how creative they are and the wide variety of glass work they do. I wish I have more glass related projects for them to do. :-)

I had scheduled and appoint for an estimate for a shower door replacement-door was not shutting properly. Not only was he on time, friendly and professional but most of all he was honest. The door did not need to be replaced, the plastic strip on the bottom had to be trimmed-which he did. Another company off the bat said it needed to be replaced. I would recommend highly and use them again in the future if needed.

Below is an experience that happened to me in March 2017. This company may have changed for the positive since then, but my experience was so bad that I had to share. They were hired to replace my broken glass slider door in my basement. When I returned home from work, I discovered glass shards all over my yard within a 5 foot radius of the door. I was irritated that they did not clean that up but I could have lived with that. However, that wasn't the end of it.Upon inspecting the interior of my basement, I found glass shards up to ten feet in from the door, I found glass shards on my basement couch, and there was caulk and glue on the blinds that go on the door they replaced. I cannot believe they did such a sloppy job and LEFT GLASS INSIDE MY HOUSE!! They could have put up a tarp, they could have told me to clear out the area beforehand... they took no precautionary measures and then had the nerve to leave the job without cleaning up.I have pets that were at risk of cutting themselves... I spent about an hour thoroughly vacuuming my entire basement myself once they were "finished".The owner called me back the next day to address my concerns. He was very apologetic and promised to send a crew out to clean up the glass. The "crew" that was sent out to clean up the glass was the same guy who did the poor job in the first place. He came with a broken vacuum cleaner and openly admitted that he was to be leaving the company. His broken vacuum did not do a great job of removing the glass from my back yard. I was so tired of dealing with this company that I just finished the job myself. Even though this employee may no longer be working with the company, my experience really speaks to the level of which this company cares for and takes pride in their work (or lack thereof).I would highly suggest shopping around before choosing this company.

I am very happy with the glass replacement in an exterior door by Griggs. They built a custom double pane window for the door and installed it. The result was perfect. Another local vendor said they could do it only if I brought the door to them and brought it home and reinstalled it myself. Crazy! Im sure glad I found Griggs and Son, i had a tree limb go through my window and didnt want to replace the whole window so i figured id just get the glass replaced instead. The staff was very friendly and polite and they were able to get it repaired in about 4 hours, which i was very greatful for that. The price was very reasonable and service was excellent! I will be taking some other window sashes that have fogged to them to get the glass replaced. Thank you very much!
