This establishment is utterly appalling. Upon entering my room, I was greeted with a layer of dust and debris, while the bathroom floor was littered with trash. The lack of cleanliness was further evidenced by bed bug excrement upon pulling back the mattress, and even boogers smeared on the walls. The hallway wasn't spared either, as the floor next to the soda machine is coated in grime. Despite informing the front desk, the management's indifference was disheartening. It's clear this place is neglected and warrants immediate intervention from the health department to ensure the safety and well-being of guests.

Hotel was clean. Loud coming in at midnight seating and knocking things over. Front desk attendant did not say anything to them as people were sleeping. Do not like that the bathroom and sink are in separate rooms. Pool has been closed forever, which is ridiculous for families with kids. Most disappointing part.. For $150.00 , all you get is a waffle, two cereals, and dried up mini muffins. When I questioned the hot breakfast. I was told they have no one to cook. That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard as there were two employees there restocking everything.Nearby activities: Close to Gettysburg

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the bed/bedding was very comfortable. But the bathroom was problematic. The sink was in the room basically, with a partial wall to separate it. The toilet and shower were in a tiny separate room with no fan and a pocket door. A pocket door. The door was difficult and noisy to close and didn't close/lock completely. And no fan--or maybe it was broken. There was another switch that did nothing. The floor of the shower was so worn that it looked filthy. It was clean, but its appearance was disconcerting. There was a nice easy chair for relaxing, though, which we appreciated. And the front desk people were great.

Very clean and a friendly, helpful staff!Pool closed, Breakfast skimpy (no hot protein option and few other choices). Shower only, no tub. And My bed was a little uneven / lumpy.I wouldn’t pay full listing price, but it was a clean, basic place to stay.

Our 60th reunion was held at the Sleep Inn in Emmitsburg, MD.There were 24 of us and we were given the royal treatment. We had our celebration in the meeting room for the weekend. The staff were so helpful to setup the room with tables on last minute notice. They were also helpful about storing items. No matter what the request, they made it happen. No extra charge. The place is clean and well run. We come to Sleep Inn every 5 years for our reunion and it is always a Pleasure. If you are planning a get together, you will find Krishna, the Sales Director, very easy to work with. I appreciate all what the Sleep Inn staff did to make our stay so memorable. Thanks to all. Helen GradyRooms: The rooms were clean and neat. The facility is a little older but you can't beat it for the cost!!Safety: The area was very safe. No worries about your car and belongings.

Recently stayed here for an evening wedding being held nearby. It was ok. Quiet. Pool was closed though and it looked like something was hanging from the ceiling in there. From other reviews the pool has been closed for quite sometime. Breakfast was pitiful. Bland and no variety. 2 kinds of cereal, 1 kind of muffin, white bread for toast a waffle station, 1 kind of oatmeal, and 1 brand of yogurt. Other places I have stayed at post-covid had way more variety. So don't count on breakfast here. Better to just go to Dunkin down the street. Coffee wasn't bad though. Not really much to do if you have a little time to kill other than watch tv. It's just a place to sleep.

Rooms were clean. Staff was nice. However, the whole reason we booked at this hotel is because they said they had a pool. After we check in we learn that the pool hasn't been open for "years". If we had known that we would've went elsewhere....especially since there really isn't anything else in the area.Rooms: Rooms were nice and clean.

This hotel charged me for smoking in the room. I did not smoke in the room. When I called to question this, Choice Hotels told me they couldn't do anything but send a message to the hotel about it. I asked them to do that, and they gave me a case number. When I called the hotel directly to talk to the manager about it, I was told she wasn't available. I left a message and asked for a call back, but never received one. So they found an easy way to get an extra $300 out of any guest who happens to be a smoker. Won't be staying at a Choice Hotel again!

I walked in the hotel and the front desk said the cost was 176.00 but if I booked it online it was cheaper. While at front desk I went in Priceline and it was 112.00 per night. I filled out all the info and entered my CC number and instantly the rate jumped to 171.00. That' was the amt charged on my card. It was non reversible the front desk said. I asked for a manager and they were out of town. Absolutely no one available for any assistance at all. Beware of booking reservations with this hotel and be prepared for unnecessary charges on your card.

Wow, this was a surprisingly nice hotel. The room was very clean and had updated furniture. Breakfast was okay, but maybe try serving the donuts when they are fresh and have not gone stale.I'm taking away one star because the breakfast wasn't all that great and the shower in our room lacked strong water pressure. But, overall, it was a pleasant visit with exceptional standards. We would definitely consider staying here again when passing through.

In town for soccer tournament. Ice machines are off and Pool and gym are closed. Website says nothing about this. Room was dirty. Floor was covered with toe nail clippings, pretzels and crumbs. Obviously was not vacuumed! I had to go and get a vacuum and take care of it myself. Beds are small and old. Breakfast consists of danish and cereal. No eggs or protein at all. For the cost I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

The location of this hotel for my visit to Historic Gettysburg was ideal. It was maybe a 10 minute ride, if that. The rooms (my stay was for two rooms, for two weekend nights) were adequate. There was no microwave in the room and no tub for the kiddies. It was clean upon arrival and was kept clean by my family's light use/maintenance and hotel services. Breakfast was adequate, but foodservice was excellent. I value service over grounds, rooms, and other amenities. The service at this hotel, especially the front desk, is exceptional.

Spent two nights and have no complaints. The room and bath were clean, Staff was excellent; very helpful. Breakfast room offered wide array of breakfast goodies from hot foods (like eggs and bacon or sausage), dry cereal, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, of course coffee and tea, and much more. Bed was comfortable. Parking was free and close to the front door. The only drawback was the bathroom tub in the handicap room I was in had a very high side, making it difficult to step in to. I think it would have been better to have a shower only.

I will start with why the missing single star. The rooms are a little out of date and not cleaned super well (may have just been us). That being said, what the rooms lack the staff makes up for. The staff was phenomenal, understanding, and extremely tentative. Example: Natasha was very understanding of our need for a late checkout as we were not meeting our family until later in the afternoon. She was very accommodating and we greatly appreciate it. All in all, we will return!

I stayed at this hotel with my mother many times over the years while visiting family. My mother passed away a little more than four years ago, and staying at this lovely hotel was always one of the highlights of our trips together. Just me and her and we’d always have so much fun. I would highly recommend this location to anyone and everyone in hopes that they too can make valuable memories here as well.

Arrived after a very long drive only to find out Expedia had booked us into a room with two double beds instead of the king size bed that we had wanted.Heather at the front desk was extremely friendly and pleasant and not only switched us to the proper room but also was able to book us for an extra night at the last minute at a rate that was cheaper than Expedia.During our stay we found that all of the staff from the front desk to the housekeeping were all very helpful and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable. I was a little concerned at first about the size of the shower stall (no bathtub) but the shower stall was very large providing ample room. One of the highlights of my experience was the fabulous indoor heated pool that was 4'-5' deep and also had steps with a railing to get in.Breakfast was great! and loved the make your own waffle station. Had a nice selection of items available including fresh fruit and yogurt. The only negative I would say was that the eggs and sausage were dry and not very warm.I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the Gettysburg area, or taking any of the scenic tours nearby in Maryland.

I've been staying at Sleep Inn for years and it's typically a very pleasant stay. They offer complimary breakfast as well as as many rollaway beds as the room can fit. The gym and pool are nice amentites, though the pool isn't always clean. The rooms are a good size and are always very clean, though the last time I stayed there it looked at though they were in the middle of small renovations because the bathroom door was covered in different paint colors. Overall it's a great hotel and the service is always fantastic and accommodating.

We had an amazing stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, different kinds of muffins, doughnuts (big and small), a waffle maker (you make your own waffles), oatmeal, and cereal. The beverages are: 2% milk, hot chocolate, juices, tea, and coffee. The coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available all day and night. We had a suite and it was spacious and clean. The maids were very friendly and polite. It is also close to everything in that town. And only 15 minutes from Gettysburg, PA. I gave it 4 stars because in between the sliding glass doors it didn't smell the best but the moment you walk into the lobby it smells very clean and fresh. If we visit Emmitsburg, MD ever again we will definitely stay here.

Really nice and friendly check in by Natasha. Very comfortable bed, nice clean room, super quiet hotel, decent location with several eating options if you're not too fussy. Breakfast very basic, pool closed but gym is open. 1 week stay business trip.

Too bad I can't leave a zero feedback! I stayed at the hotel about six or seven weeks ago for the weekend so they will local antique show and I came back to do another one this coming weekend. When I showed up there was this "person" standing outside in shorts and combat boots smoking a cigarette. Not a good look but I figured hey customers do what they like. once I walk in I realized oh that's the hotel clerk. Again not a good look! I explained to this "person" that I wanted to stay three nights, this evening tomorrow evening and Sunday evening and leave Monday morning to go back to Florida. She tells me the rate is $179. Per night! I'm not Los Angeles, I'm Emmitsburg Maryland! I explained that I was just there a few weeks ago and paid only about $80 per night she immediately accused me of being nasty and told me I better change my tone and blah, blah, blah! She doesn't make the rules etc etc. I told her look up the rate that I paid and you can see. She says take it up with the general manager I said fine let me talk to her! she said she's sleeping. So I said fine I'll call her later give me her telephone number she offers to give me her email address! Yeah that'll work! how often do people check their emails?! I just drove over 20 hours from south Florida! I need a room to rest!! Anyway,, I'll never stay at that place again! I do five or six shows per year in this area. What I will do it's called corporate! This is the single most unprofessional nasty "human being" I've ever met in my life!

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent week long stay at the Sleep Inn & Suites in Emmitsburg, Maryland! EVERYONE on staff was super friendly and helpful! From Michael and Kristina at the front desk to Matthew in food service and Yvonne in housekeeping, to the maintenance gentlemen, everyone always had a smile on their face and it was like talking to a friend! As some reviews state, could there be some things updated at the hotel? Sure. HOWEVER, those things are minimal when compared to staying at a place that is SAFE, CLEAN, and QUIET! The food was great with a nice variety every day and I loved the fact that you could get coffee or tea 24 hours a day. I will definitely be staying here again for any future trips!

The hotel was exactly what we needed it to be for the price. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the complementary breakfast was nice. The hotel showed some wear and tear in some locations, such as the carpet inside the elevators, but it in no way affected our stay. There was plenty of parking and it was in close proximity to Mount St. Mary's, where we were attending an event. Overall, no complaints!

Unexpectedly we had to find some where to sleep since we had to wait for safe lite to come fix our windshield. Sleep Inn was a great hotel great staff. We came with nothing and when we asked for stuff they gave it to us. They definitely are amazing. We will certainly be back! Great company great staff great place. Thank you again!

My husband and I stayed 1 night. Upon first glance everything looked good. However, when I woke up in the morning I was fairly disappointed. I found our ice bucket had water left in it and a dirty cup inside. The hair dryer did not work so I was not able to fix my hair. And worst of all, the coffee maker in the room had parts missing so I couldn't make myself a coffee. Once my husband woke up, we went down for breakfast. The eggs were ok (if you like powdered eggs) and the cheese inside the egg was rubbery. The bacon, while tasty, was so paper thin. A friend who was also visiting had the waffles and said they weren't bad. My husband couldn't eat his eggs, so he ended up having a yogurt which may have been the best thing on the menu. Overall, this hotel is subpar at best.

Carpet is old and stained, horrible paint job throughout, damaged sliding door (noisy hard to use), small bathroom, bugs in bathroom light fixture, pool closed, breakfast had ZERO hot items. The pool and breakfast were lacking due to covid. No idea what the restrictions are in Maryland but Dunkin Donuts down the street is open to the public and you can sit inside. Likely a GM decision.Price is a biggie. The price for this room even with a wedding room block rate is insane for this level of hotel.
