This is a diamond in the rough. A local, rustic bar and crab joint that does evening All You Can Eat crab as well as a satisfying menu selection for lunch.Not your fancy, stuffy seafood place. You're going to walk in and be staring at the bar first basic seating. Odds are the bartender will be splitting her attention between her bar and serving tables, so be patient and show'em some love.Food comes out pretty quick and has never disappointed. We'll worth the stop if you're in the area or visiting Gettysburg.

The food at Rube’s was delicious! The fried shrimp, french fries and hush puppies were a delightful teaser. The fresh salad bar served up some crispy vegetables and tasty dressings too. There were two soups on the buffet, Maryland crab and gumbo. I chose the well-seasoned gumbo. Steamed shrimp were tender and tasty, especially when dipped in the cocktail and/or butter sauce. The crabs… yes the crabs were great! Ingredients used for crab seasoning really enhanced the flavor as I detected a slight hint of herbal flavor which kept me coming back for more. The service was spectacular. Facility was clean and inviting. Best lunch ever! Would recommend and rate as 5.

This was a surprisingly wonderful little restaurant. The staff are very attentive and the food was excellent they offer carry-out as well as dine-in options.The prices on the menu are little higher than you would expect, but the portions make it worth the cost.Their seafood offerings are fresh and delicious. They also have several non-seafood choices, including submarine sandwiches, pizza, salad-bar, soups, and burgers. The only thing missing on the menu were dessert options. However, the portions are so filling that you won’t really have room for dessert. The establishment was very clean.

This is my first here, as I have passed this restaurant before. The crabs are decent, however I’ve had better in the past. One thing that I liked about these crabs were that they had old bay seasoning on them. The food is fair and the service took a little while to refill drinks, as the server tended both the bar and tables.

We’ve always enjoyed Rube’s. (Travel time is about an hour). We went there this past Saturday and had reservations at the bar. At one point we were asked to move down a seat which was no problem for us. But the people we moved for had no reservations and acted very “entitled”! (Not necessarily Rube’s issue)Menus were new and appeared prices increased a bit.Crabs, claims, snow crab legs were delicious and beer was cold!

I wish I could give Rube's a 5 star rating, but... the crabs were not up to par this trip We had AYCE steamed crabs, and they were small, but full.The price was GREAT --- $29.99 special 😁Although the taste was fine, they were sadly... overcooked. (Maybe they were reheated?)Whatever the reason, it affected the overall quality of the experience.Service was great (Marta?) and the atmosphere is classic indoor crabhouse -- long tables, covered with brown paper.I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could 😊

Great dinner at Rube's. Waitress was wonderful and attentive. Food was delicious. We had crab cake, softshell crab, steamed shrimp, crab dip, and fisherman's platter. Green beans are cooked with ham and are definitely worth a try. Delicious! Restaurant was a little cold and with the bar open to the dining room it gets a little noisy.

I came here with a bunch of fellow firefighters. The service was very friendly and the food was good. A little pricey for me but I can do that for good seafood. If you like a place that has all you can eat crab legs and puts the bucket on the table for your scraps, then this is the place! Will come back!

Ordered a fried seafood combo @ $35. Seafood was overly breaded and deep-fried too long. Barely edible. Baked potato was cold. Havent had a good eating experience there in years. Some got the AYCE w crab legs $65, and said it wasn't very good. Crab legs were not hot. Won't be going back anytime soon.Dietary restrictions: No gluten free options available.

Went here today and was VERY impressed. This is the type of place where, when you first walk in - it's very simple, but then the food comes out and it's amazing. I got the crab legs dinner which came with 2 sides. Soooo yummy the crab legs were a good size and cooked so well

This local spot is delicious! I had the all you can eat crab and they were cooked perfectly and so good. The fries that came on the side were ayce, but came in small portions and the salad bar and soup were nice options. We expected larger fries to fill us up,, but when you only have 2 hours and are slower with the crab it sometimes leave you hungry. The price was great for it though!! The bar had great drinks and the rest of the food looked delicious too.

They were extremely short staffed the day we went, this resulted in our appetizer sitting under a heat lamp too long. I imagine it would have been awesome were it not for the fact that it sat too long before it was served. I picked up and ordered a half bushel of crabs from here today 8/6/23 more than half of the bushel were real and black on the inside, I get it, it happens.As we were only able to only eat SOME out of the bushel I proceeded to call and complain as I paid $155 for them and was expecting to be compensated a little in some way as we weren’t able to eat half of them.They were extremely rude on the phone and told me “well we cant do anything for you but thanks for letting us know”I will never spend another dime at this place. Rude. Inconsiderate. No compassionPicture attached is what more than half looked like.

Really don't have anything to complain about. We ordered a Captains Platter, fried oysters, crab cake, fried mushrooms, and Maryland Crab soup. Prices were on par for those kind of dishes, and it tasted very good. Worth the drive for decent crab cakes.. place was clean.

The seafood was very good. We got two of the all you can eat options, which was nice because my aunt eats snow crab legs and I do not. I got the all you can eat blue crabs and they were seasoned well. My uncle got the crab legs dinner with sides which was just right for him. What I love the better server was she was honest about what would be right for each one of us. This way we didn't have to spend more than we needed to. The salad bar small. The waitress was very good it just would have been nice if she got around a bit more to fill up our glasses. Prices seemed reasonable for seafood.
