The staff are so wonderful. They are so kind, gentle and compassionate. You can tell they have a genuine love for animals. The veterinarians are excellent. We’ve brought our dog in for a couple annual wellness visits and for teeth extraction surgery. With every visit, the veterinarians explain things very well and provide written instructions. I know my dog is in very good hands at Emmitsburg Veterinary Hospital. I would recommend anyone in the area to see them.

Facilities are clean. Staff and Dr. Handle the animals with gentle care. Dr. Mcdonald was very thorough and explained everything she was seeing and doing. Vet techs. Katie and Jason did a great job.

Always thorough, and very compassionate. The vet techs are always very helpful and easy to work with. And the veterinarian's have always gone into detail when explaining the various options for my pets care and well being. They are still doing curbside service, which is frustrating. But the wait will definitely be worth it.

We have been taking our dog Christian to Emmitsburg veterinary hospital for a skin condition. They have been very diligent to figure out the problem and after a month's time his skin is starting to clear up. They were very thoughtful and their treatment of Christian. He is very scared of the vet and shakes constantly while he is there. They always speak very gently and kindly to him. They also always take all the time needed to answer my questions and explain the rationale for their treatment decisions. No matter how busy they are, I am never rushed. I greatly appreciate their care and understanding.

The staff treated my dog lady with the care a 16 year old dog should have . Went in because of hair loss and the found she had 3 different types of infections in her ears and that she was allergic to fleas.I am following what the doc said and she is already able to use her back legs more and use the stairs.Thank you.

I have been bringing my dogs to see Dr McDonald for the past 3 years. Also use the boarding facility. My German Shepherd is aggressive, but the staff have always been kind and experienced in handling her. Dr. McDonald always explains everything well. I highly recommend her & staff.

I was able to be seen immediately. My cat's nose had swollen up on the left side and I had no idea what to do or why it happened. Within 30 minutes of calling I was sitting in the office and Layla was being administered an anti-inflammatory and steroids. That was 4 days ago and I am noticing a difference already. I am so happy that the veterinarian place available in Emmitsburg is an Animal hospital. I'm excited about the remodeling that they have done. I'm really happy with this establishment. I must say I find them to be a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Dr. Lantsch provides chiropractic care at Emmitsburg on Thursdays. I drive over an hour (each way) to have her adjust my dog every month. She is so kind and compassionate, and takes the time to talk to you about any issues with your pet. Highly recommend both her and chiropractic care for your pet.

It is very difficult finding, and getting used to a new veterinarian. We have 7 cats and also take care of several homeless cats in the area. Since I started using Emmitsburg Veterinary, the care has been excellent. They never try to “sell” you something you don't need and they understand that treatment is different with cats you really can’t touch. Each time they have worked with me when I can not catch the cat that needs help. I appreciate the service very much.

I’ve always been extremely happy with the care that my dog and cat receive here. Every receptionist, vet tech, and vet I’ve interacted with here have been so kind and helpful. It is on the pricey side, but please keep in mind that you get what you pay for. This practice works so hard to provide top notch services and they deserve to be paid a living wage, just like regular nurses and doctors. I definitely recommend Emmitsburg Vet!

Very good service and professional review of the exam by phone, however, I didn't give you a 5-star rating because I was disappointed I was unable to come in and witness my cat's exam as a result of the ongoing construction at your office. My expectation is that this won't occur in the future.

I love emmitsburg vet hospital! We take both of our cats there for regular visits and extras as needed. The staff is always very responsive and helpful, and Dr. McDonald has a wonderful bedside manner. You can tell that she is paying attention to the details and cares about making you and your pets feel cared for! I also love that they have been able to give us alternatives for our harder to treat cat, such as giving us an at home urine collection kit rather than causing him undue stress by getting the sample in their office.The one area I think could use improvement is the difficulty of getting in touch. Hopefully it's a short term staffing or renovation issue, but I always seem to have to try to call multiple times a day or even over a few days to get an answer. Their online scheduling is great for routine checkups, but it can add to the stress of having a sick animal to not be able to call and set up an appointment to get them looked at.

The vets and vet techs are top notch. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. They explained every step of each procedure that was done to my kitten. Made me feel better (but not so much for my cat 😁). The renovations that they are currently undergoing could make things a complete nightmare, but it didn't. From my end, it seemed like it was working like a well oiled machine. There were other vets closer to me, but I'm so glad I chose Emmitsburg.

Emmitsburg vet is the BEST!!! I’m posting this two days from Easter- my dog, Perse, got into my Easter basket, which housed a cup full of individually wrapped chocolates. She ate all of them, including the wrappers. By the time I got through poison control, it was 15 minutes before Emmitsburg vet closed. Even so, they let me bring Perse in and helped her out. Everyone was super sweet and understanding, and made sure that Perse got the best care possible. So far, she’s doing okay, though we’ve still got to wait for any poison symptoms. Emmitsburg went above and beyond to help my pup. THANK YOU!!!!!

They were clean, accommodating and friendly. They even had a fun little game for the kids involving finding and taking a picture of a small toy stuffed dog, somewhere in the office. Their prices are reasonable and their work is very good!
