This is the most amazing little pet store. the employees are wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful. my dog loves stopping in here. lots of wonderful healthy treats and snacks. i love they have a lot of great options for pets with allergies. great selection of toys too.

I've been shopping at Clipper Canine Cafe for over 10 years! Supporting small business has always been my go to. Kate and her team provide excellent service, are full of knowledge, carry some of the best natural and healthy foods on the market, and really care about each pet and customer that walk through those doors. I switched my dogs to Steve's Real Food raw this past year and it's been such a blessing to be able to access and buy it locally. My dogs love coming into the store to pick up their food, treats, and toys! Next time you are visiting Old Ellicott City, you should stop in for some awesome pet goodies!

2 months later… I gave this place a second chance and I’m glad I did. Both visits I’ve made since were very positive. I love supporting small businesses and definitely believe everyone deserves a second chance.I had a very unfortunate experience during Main Street music fest. Out of 6 customers, I was the only one not greeted personally and asked if I needed help. No coincidence that I was the only minority shopping.

Stopped in today with my wife to pick up some supplies and brought our dog. Such a huge selection of natural foods and treats. The owner there was unbelievably kind and offered multiple samples to our dog which he loved once we got home (he’s a little shy around new people) and we will definitely be back for more soon. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area!

Great locally owned place. The owner is knowledgeable about different foods and recommended brands based on my cats needs. The atmosphere is very welcoming and you can tell that they really care about your pets. I'm very happy that I've switched from a national chain to a locally owned business. The prices are comparable to web based pet supplies for the same brands and actually cheaper when you take in to account their loyalty program. Highly recommend.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this locally-owned shop yet! I love it here - it's hands-down my favorite place to shop for my dog. They have a wealth of great natural products and cute toys, outerwear, bedding, etc. I've never had anything but amazing service here, and Kate is so knowledgeable about pets and ready to answer any questions you might have. My heart broke when they closed down after the last flood that ravaged Old Ellicott City, and I was so happy they were among those that chose to reopen, especially in a safer location. Please shop locally and keep these gals open - they truly deserve your business, and you won't want to shop anywhere else once you've been!

I wish I could give Clipper's Canine Cafe more than 5 stars! Had my first visit here this morning and my pup and I cannot wait to come back!!! Upon entering, we were instantly greeted by an employee (I wish I had asked their name so I could properly give them a shoutout in this post, but they had reddish hair and rainbow glasses.) They were SUPER friendly and very helpful. Gave my pup a Bare Bites Beef Liver treat (and asked before giving her a treat, which I really appreciated too!) Clipper's carries our somewhat-hard-to-find kibble (VeRus pet foods) as well as some other premium brands that I noticed. In just the small corner of the store that we explored, I was blown away by the fantastic selection. I can't wait to recommend this shop to my neighbors!

This place is excellent! They have a great selection of high-quality products for dogs and cats, are super nice and knowledgable, and really care about your pet's well-being. They also have events, which usually include awesome free samples and raffles. We are SO LUCKY to have Clipper's Canine Cafe in Historic Ellicott City!

Great quality products. The owners are knowledgeable and caring. They will take the time to figure out what your needs are and explain. If they don't carry something, they will try to get it or direct you to where you can get it.For example, I got an "indestructible " toy for my dog. She bit a chuck off in 15 minutes. They offered my money back or a replacement. I got a replacement and still have the toy months later. They understand that fluke things happen. It was a big convenience to me to have an immediate replacement instead of going through the company that made the toy.I love that they stand behind everything they sell (within reason)

Amazing store run by even more caring and lovely amazing people!!! They say those who love animals are special folks!! It’s the truth!! They care about the products they offer and they care about our pets! It’s so refreshing to find a business that is in it for more than just money. Kate's personal knowledge made me feel like I had a consultation with homeopathic vet. My dog was suffering terribly with a huge hot spot. After two applications of an essential oil blend, the wound was calmed and so was Jet. This place is much more than a cafe. Check it out if you love dogs!

Love that we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Very knowledgeable lady helped us and explained each of the products and their benefits for our furbabies. We will gladly drive 30 minutes next time we have any pet needs to give back to local small businesses rather than feeding the large retailer beasts like Petsmart and Petco. Excited to try these hemp treats to help our pup with anxiety!

Kate is one of the nicest, most passionate people that I have ever met. Her love of animals shows with every customer that enters her store. I was having an issue with my cat that I had him to the vet on multiple occassions to no avail. She suggested I try something that took care of the problem right away! The ONLY problem with her current location is her rude neighbors that feel it is ok to block her entrance and take her parking. I am sure they would not like her to have Pit Bull Adopt-a-Pallooza during one of thier events that impeded thier customers. Common courtesy goes along way! Cant wait for her to be in a different location away from people that have no couth.

I have 5 italian Greyhouds and each one has a different food requirement due to age, allergies and cancer. Kate at clippers has been a HUGE help with researching different types of food and treats that work for each of my dogs. She is a wonder of info and she lets you pick her brain.
