Chris & Cheryl are great! Highly recommend second chance if you want a one of a kind anything wood! We Came to them wanting to put a live edge outdoor bar top on a pool house we were building we picked cedar and Chris offered to cut it that afternoon and we went and picked the slab that we liked he even recommended a furniture maker who would be able to finish the bar and sink and help arrange that whole thing! It was so much cheaper and more amazing than any granite or other outdoor kitchen is made of ! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️All the way

Chris & Cheryl are awesome! We were looking for a live edge to make a bar rail for our game room. My wife and I walked around the saw mill and we’re greeted by Chris and Cheryl. Absolutely the nicest people you will ever meet. They showed us around and we picked out a beautiful slab of cedar. Chris did an amazing job finishing and clear coating the piece. Definitely worth a visit , a ton of different wood to choose from. Highly recommend Second Chance Hardwoods!

My husband and I saw an ad on fb marketplace for a poplar live edge slab. We decided to go check it out since we were searching for something to make a dining room table. Chris ended up showing us lots of different options, gave us so much information, showed us pictures of different projects other people have done, and was incredibly patient with us as we tried to decide what route to go. We ended up going home with a beautiful maple slab and could not be more happy! We are so thankful to Chris for spending so much time helping us! Him, his wife and his dog were so sweet and welcoming. Highly recommend!!

We were greeted by a spunky lab and then met Chris who showed us a beautiful white oak he was working on. Chris and his wife, Sheryl are incredibly nice people who showed us examples of wood treatments and projects in their own house. They have a large inventory with a variety of species and are very knowledgeable. They had beautiful massive slabs of oak which would be perfect for a dining table. Our project wasn't that large this time but we got a great deal on some cherry slabs we'll be using for wood wall caps. Chris and Sheryl delivered the wood to our home the same day. We plan in going back to them in the future and would highly recommend anyone to use them for wood projects.

Chris and his wife are awesome people. Helped me pick out two beautiful box elder maple slabs that I fashioned into a bar top for a basement reno. Answered all questions and gave plenty of suggestions as far as finishing options and the best way to set everything up for my project. Highly recommend.

Omg I love this place!I was looking for some cool pieces of wood for shelves... I don’t know anything about this all I knew was I did not want it to look like I bought it at Home Depot. There’s a man (husband and grandfather) who came around asking what exactly I wanted. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE! Maple, Oak, Cedar... so many more that’s all I remember lol, I was sold on the beautiful maple. The markings have a story, the tree another story.Then you see his sweet wife, and grandma, pushing their grand daughter in her stroller for some fresh air.They were so helpful and so kind! Helped me find EXACTLY what I was looking for, even though I had no idea!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this small business!!! And I LOVE my shelves!!! Turned out exactly like I had imagined. Thank you both so much!!! I enjoyed the afternoon hanging out, watching how it all works... so cool. I’m exactly to come back for my DIY projects in the future!

Stopped here on a whim looking for something to make a kitchen table with. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted and Chris couldn't have been more helpful in showing me around his yard and educating me on whole slabs and what to look for to determine the finished result. He spent way more time with me than he should've. In the end I walked away with a beautiful maple live edge slab and a ton of knowledge. Will definetly be coming back! Thank you!!

The owner is extremely helpful. The pieces are all unique and it is a fun place to explore. It is, however, challenging to find something if you have a specific item in mind. There is so much stock it can be overwhelming.
