Tonight at 9:30pm, I received a text from the owner (Kim) of Fair View Saddlery. She wanted to let me know that the tall leather boots that were ordered for my granddaughter had come in. She said that she would be in my area (Smyrna DE.) and would love to drop them off. She knew how excited my granddaughter was, about getting her special ordered boots. Kim and her entire family went out of their way to deliver my order tonight. I have never experienced this type of service ever.I highly recommend Fair Hill Saddlery. Staff is super nice and prices are fair, I want to start with that..... however, if you are buying feed of any kind... good luck knowing where you have to go to get it.... there are zero signs to point you in the right direction, staff inside fails to mention that it's over the river and through the woods (minus the river true statement), there is also no one outside to direct you where to go. Owners need to fix up the outside pickup areas, clear signs and labels are necessary.... if that gets fixed I'll gladly give them a better rating.... until then , I'm sorry but this was just so frustrating and I know I'm not the only one.

Cute dogs and a lot of diverse options from brands that not every store carries.For me it was a game changer that a local store to me is carrying every MIPS helmet offered in the USA now, in one place. I went there to get a helmet and not only did they help me get the perfect fitted one, I look great in it! (first time I don't look like a "mushroom" haha)The three ladies all stood around and helped me try on helmets, riding boots, attire- everything. Highly recommend Fair Hill Saddlery!

The staff at Fair Hill were all SO friendly and helpful -- I could not have asked for a nicer introduction to the local horse community. I am very difficult to fit into boots - size 11, high arches, thicker calves. I ended up in a bind because I entered a big show last minute. After striking out at a couple other tack shops, I decided to call Fair Hill ahead of time. They were beyond helpful. When I got there, they had a tower of boots for me to try on. The second pair fit like a glove. I was so excited. They were all super happy for me, as well. I continued to shop after my boot fitting and was impressed with their inventory. This was my first experience at this tack shop and I regret not knowing about them sooner.

A few weeks ago I tried to order a pair of Roeckl winter gloves online. The order didn’t appear to go through so I called the store and spoke with a sales associate. The associate couldn’t have been more helpful (and even apologetic for my trouble with making the order).When the gloves arrived, I was simply astonished at how beautifully they were wrapped! I felt as if I had had a present sent to me!!Absolutely by far, outstanding customer service and certainly, I appreciate that my order was treated with such care and respect!!

My daughter just started horseback riding lessons last week and we have already been here 3 times and the service was excellent each time! As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and offered assistance. If you say you’re just looking they don’t hound you but once you actually stop in a section and start trying to decide which item to buy it’s like they know, even though you haven’t asked for help now you do need help, with sizing or checking in the back for something that’s not on the floor, and someone will be there to help you get what you need. After my daughter excitedly told the woman that she was starting lessons so she “needed everything” I waited for the sales pitch to come, you know the 1- “well if your kids safety is important to you and you don’t want her to end up with brain damage than you just HAVE to have the $300 helmet, and 5 of these different color covers AND a bag to carry it in...and you are going to need boots too, you will need 3 different pairs because of XYZ and don’t forget all the various accessories too, etc etc.” I honestly assumed I was going to be getting dragged all over the store getting talked into buying the most expensive stuff they have and getting a must have list that included any and everything that my daughter could want or need for riding for the next 5 years. But I am glad to report that NOTHING like that happened! We were in charge, she only showed us what we asked for, she always brought out the cheaper items and never tried talking us into any accessories. Could I find stuff cheaper online? Maybe. But I love the fact that this is a local family run shop and I like to see my daughter get excited while digging through lead ropes to find a color she likes that feels good in her hands (and when she didn’t find the exact color she was looking for the lady offered to order it for us) and reading the ingredient list on the bag of horse treats so she can pick out a healthy snack for her pony. So, when my daughter needs more snacks or she grows out of her boots or breeches we will we definitely be back to Fair Hill Saddlery! Shoot, who am I kidding, we will more than likely be stopping in there sometime this week because I’m sure there will be something my kid wants to get! Lol

I was staying at the Fair Hill camping area and I needed some treatment for my horse's stone bruise. This saddlery carried a large assortment of medications and so many other items for horse owners. I was delighted to be able to access it so easily.

I love having a tack shop close, I get my hay and straw here. Also have been embarrassed to ask about a supplement for my OTTB who is hard to keep weight on in fear that people will think I don’t feed him lol, and Roger, I believe, recommended FatCat to me and really helped me feel better about my struggle.
