I came across 2 different types of tofu that had expired over 2 months ago. I told the nearest employee, who I believe was new as he was younger, and he called to someone named Dave, to tell him about it. Dave was in the back, so the employee took the packages of tofu back to him. A minute later, the employee comes back out and puts the expired tofu back on the shelf. I asked him why he was putting it back knowing it was expired, and his response was that Dave told him to do it and his job was to just put the fresh stuff out.This is the second time I have mentioned this exact expired tofu to a store employee, the first time being 3 weeks ago. 3 weeks ago, the same dates of expiration were there as was today, so I can only assume they have been selling the same expired tofu this entire time. It’s abhorrent to me that they knowingly sell expired food. I will not be shopping there anymore. I have included pictures of aforementioned tofu with expired dates on them, taken today, 10/28/23.

Elkton Acme don’t ever go there for fried chicken they don’t ever have any and they refuse to make chicken for you. I have complained many times nothing has changed. Even tried to order online. Go to the Newark Acme they are so much better.

Was here on March 12 at 821 pm the woman working the self check out with dyed blonde hair blocked off 3 self check out aisles said floor was wet that I had to wait for the other ppl to get done but as soon as I go to the other side another person is allowed to walk over there and use that register. I then tell her the Cart i used is broke she proceeded to put it back with all the other carts so someone else can get a broken cart on my way out she gave me a long stare. I don't appreciate this treatment I come here alot and she better not treat me like that again

This is the 3rd time I've had a problem with the seafood section. The one male associate is so overwhelmed, he gets rude with you. The biggest issue isn't even that, I've now had to return salmon 3 times. The customer service and quality of products at this acme are bad.

The staff is always friendly in the store and pharmacy. I’ve spoken with the manager and she’s very nice. The meat department always has nice cuts. Thank you management.

It may be pricey but at least the fruit & produce are always extremely fresh. They usually have excellent cuts of meats as well.

Very helpful. A man gave me a special deal because they were out of frosted flakes. Will give a fifth star when the beef up the lunch meat dept. Lost 2 stars cause your lunch meat always has 3 people working but only one cutting meat for the counter

Love this place, the prices are a little more ,but you do have better quality specially the meats and seafood. I love the fruit selection and all the pre cut fruit. The bakery always has fresh breads and cakes. The staff is always super nice and the store is very clean.

Went to the ACME to get crab legs, knowing the Seafood Department was closing at 9pm. There 2 other ladies standing in the deli, speaking with the associate. Once the ladies left, I asked the deli associate, If I needed to take a number for seafood, she says , No there is someone there. After standing here for at least 4 to 5 minutes. I then ask the deli associate if he was available, with an attitude walks overlooks in the back then says he is in the bathroom. When he arrived,didn't appear he came out of the bathroom. Smh. I ask him if steaming is available and he now has an attitude and I get a paragraph about he is closing at 9pm. Seems as though I interrupted there day. Just by coming in an ordering something I wanted. I wise man told me PERCEPTION IS EVERYTHING! I'm going to leave it right there!! Do better ACME!!

I love the deals you can get at Acme. I go here every day for lunch, and get their chicken. It is the best tasting chicken I've had in a long time!! You have got to try it if you haven't already!

Everything is always expired!! I bought a package of nuts today that expired 7/31/21. I should have looked at the expiration date but I would have never thought they would have products on their shelves that are a year expired.

As usual store was very clean, shelves were stocked. More items should be discounted in my opinion, that customers purchase most often though. And my check out person named Laurel was very polite, and asked for a bagger which I greatly appreciated beings I had many groceries to be bagged. Give that young lady a raise please!! 😁 All in all very pleasant experience as usual, which makes me keep coming back!! 👍

Acme is a good grocery store to run in real quick if you need a few things. They have self checkout, and throughout the month, they have some great sales if you use your acme store card like your membership card!

I strongly advise to check expiration dates when shopping here as they seem to have an issue with expired or nearly expired items on shelves in my experience. Not sure if it's intentional or not but that is bad business.

My wife and I recently moved here from Philadelphia and we must say the store is extremely clean and the staff is friendly and helpful...a "breath of fresh air" from the "Philly" stores. We would like to see more electric carts available for the handicapped.

Acme is good if they have items on sale. Other than that they are very expensive compared to many other grocery stores. There is an app that can sometimes help with prices. They are digital coupons, the name of the app can be found at the store

VERY EXPENSIVE PLACE TO SHOP. THE LUNCH MEAT PRICES are OUTRAGEOUS. I bought 8 PIECE FRIED CHICKEN meal the chicken WAS hard AND WAY over COOKED AND the guy that waited on me NEVER GAVE me my sides AND ROLLS that were supposed TO come WITH. It that I didn't know anything ABOUT it.

My wife and I moved here from Upstate N.Y 2+ years ago and have been going to the Suburban Plaze Acme since its the closest. We like going there but our least favorite part is the checkout. Recently they got a new employee named Elizabeth, and now checkout is my favorite part. She's an incredible woman and makes me feel like I'm family. If there were empty lines I would wait in hers for an hour just for the personal experience.

The manager and cashier were amazing. The watched out for an elderly lady with possible dementia. Even helped her to her car. Doing the right thing when no one is looking. God bless them both!

I think that acme has the best selection of meats, produce, and groceries for very reasonable pricing. The renovation has made it look a lot better. And things are now easier to get to. This store is always clean and well stocked. I have been doing my shopping here for 5 years now and have never been disappointed.

Nice grocery store, clean, lots of choices, and a bank. Staff is always helpful, Services good, and their fruit selection is usually very good. Sale items and coupon policy is very competitive but some items are higher-priced. Stick to sales and coupons, which they mix digital with manufacturer. Makes for some great pricing that's well worth the trip.

Actually I don't really shop the market, I use their pharmacy. I have been using them for quite some time now and have always been satisfied with their service. The staff is always polite and very helpful. Whenever I have a question for the pharmacist, they've always been extremely helpful. Their prices are usually below what you might find elsewhere. I do highly recommend using the Acme Pharmacy. The Pharmacy name is Savon, by the way.

The prices are higher than average which makes the sale items not that much of a deal. They do have good seafood, plus some meats at a 4 for $20 deal. The store is well merchandised for the most part.

Any time I have a problem with anything, they are very quick to address it at this store. All the employees are always helpful and cheerful. The fruit and veggies are usually better than other stores where I go so I try to make it a habit to go here first.

Prices have gone up there a lot. Always have to wait to check out because there is usually only one cashier open. For some reason the deli only has ONE meat slicer so it can take forever even with multiple employees because they all have to use the same slicer for everything. Pharmacy (Savon) has gone downhill since they expanded.
