Decent store with friendly, helpful staff. They get an A+, but... not a great selection on a Saturday night, however, for flyer items. Also, there are still those horrible scales at the self-checkout bagging platform. And it was the only option on a Saturday evening for checkout. These scales are so sensitive that you can barely scan one item without the electronic "her" barking at you to "Put your item in the bagging area." It's particularly difficult if you use your own bags. We did, and "she" still shut us down each time. I really feel sorry for the staff who have to deal with this every shift. I like having Weis in town (former PA resident), but please fix or scrap the scales! They are too frustrating to make it worth shopping here.

I normally love this store however, some employees here just ignore customers. I watched 2 employees purposely move to a closed register several lines down (after blocking a self checkout lane), continue talking, and using their phones together while there were numerous people in line at the self checkouts, some had 15+ items in their carts. I’m all for self-services/checkouts but I would imagine they are there for a reason, and not to play on their phones.

I love this store and the people who work here are always wonderful. However I hope someone reads this and trains the employees who shop for online orders oh how to substitute items. This is the second time they haven’t even bothered. Boneless skinless chicken the entire store is out of chicken? No because I got tenderloins so sub with that! Almond milk even the generic brand? Pepperoni apparently the entire store is out of every type. And popcorn! I get sometimes there isn’t a proper substitution but some of these are pretty simple. If I hit allow substitutions I expect substitutions or at least for them to try.

I don't usually shop at weis but when I do it's because they carry ingredients for real home cooking. It shouldn't be a problem to find soup bones or ham hocks.

This was weis market in edgewater maryland A worker in the meat department i believe my father said her name was Tera. She was shorter a tiny lady. Well my 80 year old father went there to do some shopping. He asked her where something was and she took him to it.he then told her he wasnt sure where the things he needed was so she took his list and did all of his shopping for him. You NEVER find people willing to help like that. I REALLY hope she is reconized for her willingness to help a customer. She will be the only reason my father and my family will shop there again. Best worker you all have there.

The female employee with long dark hair (maybe in her 30’s) is so rude and not customer oriented at all. She was initially rude to me a few months ago when my husband and I were using the checkout. There was a confusion on a sales price and me wanted to use a company card for part of my purchase. She was obviously annoyed and started slammed the items. The months following she often shoots dirty looks to us when we shop. When she’s standing by the door she greets customers, she will greet the person in front of us and behind us, but will bluntly ignore us. This last visit I had to ask where something is, she was cold, rude, and walked away in the middle of me talking. I said thank you and she rolled her eyes and walked away. Will not be back due to her nasty attitude and better than you demeanor. This is a perfect example of “they will hire anyone theses days just to get workers”.

Shopped there a lot over the last two years always using self checkout. After experience on Saturday I won’t be back. Self checkout messed up and said wait for assistance. Old guy working the front came over and started arguing with me telling me I didn’t enter the product correctly. I told him I did and he again insisted I did not enter it correctly. Guess what? I walked and left him to put all my groceries back on the shelves. He must have missed the hour of customer service training at orientation.

I must say that Weis have very good experienced people working for the company. The employees are very good, helpful, and are willing to help the customers. They are very neat and clean at the cashier stands.it is very important to have neat employees. They represent the company and that's important to me. Thanks again for your good service and I will continue my shopping at your store.

It's a general grocery store. Very few vegan options. I do not recommend working there. Terrible staff most of the time. One manager was caught sleeping with an employee and was fired. The second stole over $5000+ of store money and was arrested. There are sweet people but it's few compared to the many who aren't. Deli people don't know what they're doing and stand there looking in space. Bakery barely is open and doesn't put out baked good like they used to. I myself was a former employee and i just don't think it's a great place to send your children to work. They want to pay your kids 10$ and hour and McDonald's starts off at 15$ an hour. Know your worth and your time is precious. Don't give it away for nickels and dimes.

They seem to be well stocked. I've shopped at Safeway for years. They're out of things a lot. I got sick of having to shop 2 to 3 stores to complete my shopping. I may start my weekly shopping at Weis, and hopefully save myself time.

Went to weiss on Thursday, I shop alot,it's like a convenience store,since I'm 4 miles away.I was doing my shopping for Easter, but had to get some lunchmeat,there was a group of deli workers in a huddle, unfortunately I had to wait for one of them to notice me.There were a couple of issues but I'm going to address one when my husband went to make a sandwich with the cooked salami the woman didn't cut the plastic off

My experience has been horrible the last 4 times I came there. I only come for tobacco products so I can't ring myself up for it. Everytime I go customer service workers just stand around and talk, I always get stuck in line behind families with big carts (mind you) just want my tobacco products, they always seem to wait until it's one customer in front me and 3 behind to open the line for them (again just want my tobacco products. Today I spent 20 minutes of my 15 min break waiting in line to still not get rung up with 3 employees standing around/at the customer service desk

I was helped by Winnie. She was professional and kind. I tried to do the online survey, but for some reason couldn't get through. Anyway, I hope by recognizing her on here will give her the credit she deserves. Weis is lucky to have an employee that goes that extra mile.. Winnie deserves a raise or at least a free lunch! My daughter had an emergency and the cashier and manager were beyond helpful. They called ambulance and waited with us. Also they were kind enough to put our groceries in the cooler in the back of the store until we could retrieve them. Very kind and helpful ladies. Thanks so much!

This store needs updating. Employees are helpful and friendly. The store carries some items I'm unable to find elsewhere, such as La Costeña salsa and a number of frozen gluten-free items. I'll buy from Weis Market again...

This is the closest supermarket to my house down in mayo. A very typical styled small town old fashioned grocery store. I love the old fashioned angled checkout isles and center island. it is very cute for a grocery store. The customer service is the best by far in a supermarket in Edgewater. The only negatives are no pharmacy and no self checkout...but I'm still satisfied here.

Waited for 5 minutes in deli after employee looked and ignored me playing with there phone. This was around 9:30am Tuesday morning.I could understand if they had call out but she just didnt care about service, this isnt first time this has happened. I work in retail also so I would be the last one to complain but this just needs to be FIXED

Weis in South Colony/ Edgewater has definitely changed! All lanes are self check out now. I think it's ok if you only have a small amount to check out but not if you have regular groceries. I shop here all the time. Today, I've had so many seniors stop and give me their opinions of this new experience. I feel it may turn them away.

I go here out of convenience on occasion. the produce is horrible, I've gotten home to find mold the same day or within a day of purchase.. this has happened several times. There are also never enough cashiers available. My last trip to the store there was one Express line open and two cashiers closing their lanes, with several people in line. I walked over to the lanes I didnt realize were closing, they promptly announced they were closing. when I asked if there was really only one lane open they responded "yep" and left. I worked many years in a grocery store, and I find the service here terrible.
