I wish I had never walked in this store. I ordered carpeting to cover the floors in the majority of the 2 bedroom condo I had just purchased. After the installation I noticed issues and contacted the store. I was told that the carpet fibers needed to stretch and expand and to wait a few weeks. After I waited a few weeks things looked worse not better. I again contacted the store. After that I lost count of how many emails I sent back and forth. One seam was left with a noticeable gap were the carpet was spliced together. And there was a noticeable difference in shading between segments that were also spliced together.I had to send photos twice because the first set were ‘lost’. After a lot of back and forth, finally the store arranged for a partial refund from the manufacturer that amounted to about 20% of the purchase price. Although the store did the faulty install and sold me the faulty carpets, they offered no monetary compensation from their end. I thought about pursuing a full replacement but given how difficult and time consuming getting that agreement of the 20% partial refund was, I decided life is too short. But I certainly would not recommend this store to anyone.Service: Carpet installation

After going to four different vendors/installers of flooring, South River Flooring immediately helped us match up some old flooring stock to finish a remodeling project. They also did tile and carpet work in my old house and did a fantastic job. I told my mom about them, and she used them to do the flooring in her house, and it looks great. The South River Floors Team were exceptional from the day I walked in their store. Warm reception, guidance as needed, and the ability to borrow multiple large floor samples (3x5 ft Karndean Luxury Vinyl Plank) for the job site to determine what worked best for the church I attend. Because the decision involved the vote of a committee, this was an essential element that won the group over. On top of that, SRF's pricing was competitive and their installation crew was polite and responsive to any questions or concerns. We are so pleased with the final result----the look and texture of wood floors with the water resistance and easy maintenance of vinyl. Karndean Van Gogh Burgundy Oak was a perfect choice.

South River Flooring was wonderful! Greg was very helpful and worked with me to find a good time for taking measurements as well as the best installation time. For a modest fee, the installation crew took care of moving furniture, refrigerator, and stove, which was a huge help! Mike and Bob did a beautiful job with the installation. We needed hardwood and carpet replaced on the entire first floor of our house. We checked a few other places but were immediately impressed with the customer service and price as soon as we walked in South River. Steve Rice worked with us from the beginning and explained everything from start to finish. He didn't pressure us into buying any particular brand or type, and explained the positives and negatives of every option.The hardwood removal was in mid-November and new installation was scheduled for the week after Thanksgiving, and the workers showed up right on time for every single appointment. They were professional, courteous, and personable. They treated our furniture with care when moving it and put everything back in place. Steve checked in via phone and stopped by throughout the process just to make sure everything was to our liking. At the end of installation, we were told not to pay until we made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. When a door that had to be removed wasn't functioning properly after they put it back on, someone was there first thing the next day to repair it.We couldn't be happier with the results, the process, the prices, and every person we interacted with at South River. Our little house was treated like the most important job they had, and I have a feeling they treat every job that way. We will definitely be repeat customers and will recommend them to anyone looking for flooring.

We have used South River Flooring a couple of times over the past few years. They have installed hardwood floors as well as carpeting in our home. Everyone has been extremely professional and helpful - from the initial phone call, the process of picking out a product, to the installers. How amazed I was when we recently had our staircase runner re-carpeted and the installer actually pulled out his own vacuum and cleaned up his mess ... who does that anymore? We are so pleased with the entire staff and workmanship that we would highly recommend South River Flooring to anyone.

We have had both tile laid and carpet installed by South River Flooring and have always been delighted with the end result. Dale has gone to great lengths helping to match tile with granite. Dale and his crew are efficient neat and clean, making sure where they have worked is cleaned up before leaving each day. They are always on time and very polite. They may be a little more expensive then others but as that old saying goes " you get what you pay for".

Great work. Great service. We had our entire house flooring redone after a flood. We also had our master bath remodeled. As they are a small business we got to work directly with the owner in making selections and getting recommendations. They in turn worked with us on scheduling to meet our needs and making sure we got the better product(s) for the type work we wanted done. If we didn't like the way something was being done they worked with us to correct it at a minimal or no cost solution depending on how far along the job was toward completion. They still bring "customer service" to their work when too many companies now days don't remember what it is.

The did a great job installing new flooring to replace flooring damaged by our dog. The only problem we had was a deal in getting the materials because of the COVID-related delays. Once the materials came in they scheduled the work and did a professional installation.Service: Install flooring

Does not respond to repeated emails/phone calls. Wanted an estimate for a job, came to house but then never gave verbal or written estimate. I called, emailed and left multiple messages but still never got an estimate. This is not the type of service or professionalism that I would want for someone working on my home. Disappointing, as I really wanted to support a local business but it was unacceptable.

I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good flooring company. After what can only be described as a mind-blowingly awful experience with Empire Flooring, my husband and I learned our lesson and decided to shop locally. This company did not disappoint.
