The long drive here today was worth it. The customer service was perfect, the experience was amazing the selection was over the top and the ranks are extremely healthy and clean. The prices are extremely reasonable!I wanted the best for my new tank I built. I can’t wait for them to color up! Maybe one day they will offer shipping by mail!

I absolutely love this store they are awesome in there and they are very knowledgeable and can help you with any problems that you have with fresh water tanks. Kind and friendly and they allow you to spend time looking at the fish so you make the right choice. There are fair on prices. They have an awesome selection of fish that you can't just anywhere. The variety of fish is very large.

What a nice local fish store. Stores like these are getting rarer and rarer. Adam and Dave are excellent communicators and responded very promptly to my messages. They helped me rehome some of my larger cichlids. They have great stock and variety. I actually found some polar parrots that I’ve been looking for for months now. The tanks are clean and not over crowded. Really cool cichlid and pleco collections. I will definitely come back again! The almost 1 hour drive was certainly not a waste of time for me. Support local businesses like this place. Let’s keep the hobby going.

Hidden gem, this place has the most unique selection of freshwater fish I've seen having kept fish for 20 years. It's not a huge store.but it more then makes up for it with an amazing selection. I never worry about adding fish from here to a tank because their livestock is always healthy. If you want healthy freshwater fish or are looking for something unique this is the place to go!

These guys have the best stock of hard to find Freshwater Fish. Rare Plecos, and Catfish are always available here. And their staff is super friendly. If you're looking for rare Tropicals in the Annapolis, Baltimore, DC area, this place is a must see.

What a great experience! They have an amazing inventory of healthy & beautiful fish & aquatic pets. They are all so knowledgeable & helpful. The shop was immaculate with well kept tanks. The 2 hour drive was well worth it. I picked up some cute little chili rasbora & Kubotai rasbora. My new go to pet store.

I was in Riva for a gathering the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and on a whim checked before heading from the Baltimore area to see if there was a LFS nearby the gathering and sure enough, there was. I lovingly ditched my fam at the gathering, and hurried off to Londontowne Tropicals, getting there 20 minutes before closing. Working retail myself, I know how frustrating it can be to have folks come in just before closing, but the owner was SO GRACIOUS and answered every single question I fired at him in what was probably rapid succession. I purchased some super plants and vowed to come back when I was able to spend more time there, and came back about 3 weeks later during the middle of the day on a Tuesday to take my time. Only saw healthy fish in every tank. Love love love your betta tower! They are in small individual tanks, with a filtration system serving each tiny tank. Happiest display of bettas I've ever seen! The black emperor tetras (Nematobrycon palmeri) are loving life in my planted community tank, and the Tanichthys micagemmae are simply stunning in my cold-water 5 gallon long nano. I didn't catch his name, but the gent that helped me on my second visit was just as helpful and congenial as the owner was the first day I came in. I am more than happy to now make the trek there from Catonsville when I am in want of new fish. Oh, and if you havent been, they have loads of gorgeous plants, mostly epiphytes and rosettes, but just some really healthy and huge specimens! I am not into most cichlids or "big guys" as I like to keep fully planted aquariums, but I enjoyed checking out their impressive amount of cichlids and fishies with big choppers. Not a single evidence of fungal/bacterial/parasitic infection that I could see, and not a single dead fish in any aquarium. To some it up: clean, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and fab fish! My pictures don't capture the true beauty of these fish, but I promise they are gorgeous and healthy.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The shop is full of clean and healthy tanks. They have varieties you will not find at the chain stores. Read the info tag and make sure you know as much as you can before you pay. Don't be hesitant to ask questions and use Google.They are priced on the upper end of the spectrum but you get what you pay for.

First time visiting this place and first impression... just wow very impressed by the place tanks are clean, place is clean, tons of fish from small to big looking in good shape, it was so satisfying to walk and see so many fish i dont usually see in other stores, friendly staff and the best thing about it.. fair prices. I will be making the hour drive everytime worth it please dont change it was a great experience !

One of the best fish shops in the state! Never heard of this place before; only stopped by on a whim because I was in the area and some reviews said they had cool fish. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was blown away by the selection! Found some rare species I’ve been looking years for and prices seemed fair. Adam’s also pretty knowledgeable and helpful as well. Haven’t had an aquarium in years and this place managed to get me back into it!

Ive been coming to this place since 2020 and I have never been disappointed. I have 3 LFS near my house, but I continue to drive 1.5hrs just to come here for the quality and customer service.Today Adam helped me with about 20 fish, some shrimp, and like 4 different types of snails. I have 11 tanks and I was all over the place with selection today. He was patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly he packaged all my fish with care. Everything was bagged safely with ample air to prevent my fish from getting hurt on the drive back home. This is such a HUGE difference compared to other LFS that give you a flimsy leaky bag.I also went through every aisle and looked through every tank and saw NO dead fish (everything was clean and thriving!)You can never go wrong with coming here, I personally always call in advance to ask for what I’m looking for before making the drive.Dale (the owner) has always been good to me and does his best to have the best variety available. If they don’t have it, they will order it for you. Thank you so much guys!!
