At this point, I think it’s a requirement to be rude and condescending to work here. Even when the cashiers are smiling, it’s blatantly obvious they are putting on their customer service voice and faking the pleasantries. It is really sad that not a single person in this country can talk to you like a decent person for 5 seconds and be genuine about it, even at a dollar store. I don’t want to be shopping here just as much as your employees clearly don’t want me there or they just don’t want to be there themselves. But for one minute, you can at least be kind. It’s really the most basic ask of this job.

Great people. You might have to wait in line a little as they also have to stock shelves when there's no customers at the register, but they are more than happy to help you right away. Even though it's the only store in town for everyday items, I still highly enjoy coming here when needed.

I visit this store frequently. Staff has always been friendly and helpful and the store has been clean although it has gone downhill in the recent months.Today my experience was most definitely not a pleasant one when one of the 2 items I purchased was not in my bag when I got home. I immediately returned to the store with my receipt in hand and told the employee’s what my issue was. I was told “I don’t know what to tell you, it’s not my problem.” Well I didn’t bag my own items so how is that not your problem? I understand there is a staff shortage but there is no reason to be rude.

The employees are are very helpful and friendly. Clara Burton is my favorite. She is very knowledgeable and courteous. The Easy New Market,MD store is very clean and well organized. Very good selection of product and the prices are great.SB

10 out of 10 would not recommend this store!I have gone there a couple times in the morning around 8:15-8:30 (they open at 8) and had to call the store to unlock the doors.The staff is so unpleasant and rude - I had to go in there this morning and I stood at the checkout counter for about 5 minutes before I had to go look for someone to ring my stuff up, I found an employee and she clealy made it known she had an attitude.. As she is scanning my things she is THROWING them in the bag, I politely asked her not to and she proceeds to mumble under her breath. After paying she tosses my bag up on the counter, does not give me a receipt and continues to mumble under her breath as I walk away.

I work there and Brad the manager is very disrespectful, changed my schedule to day time all day on Sunday because another employee told him I didn't want to work nights when in fact if he would have talked to me about it I would have told him differently and if he would have read my application it stated if needed I would work after 3pm as I am a Sunday school teacher and I owe my first job priority. Also I told him I wanted to work only 20 hrs a week because I am disabled.and he scheduled me over 26 hours. He talks about employees to other employees in front of customers and let's his toddlers put money in the safe.

I've been to alot of Dollar General stores all over the United States, and have never been disrespected like I was in this one. It was about 15 mins before closing, and my friend paid for her groceries with her food stamp card . When the manager proceeded to tell my friend very rudely that "she didn't get free money from the state or unemployment, that she's tired and works 70 hours a week, because she's got bills. She was insinuating that my friend and I dont have bills and don't work and get free money from the state all because she used her EBT card. I don't ever leave a review, let alone a bad one. But I just wanted to let people who live near there, that use a EBT card , you might want to go elsewhere to avoid a mishap like that.

The staff at this Dollar General are so nice! The store is always clean and well stocked. The lady Clara is always so friendly and helpful!! So glad this store is open now!

We are very happy to have this store in our area just a few minutes up the road. Even through this past year when many other stores had empty shelves this local Dollar General always had what we needed.

The store has basically no clearance. Have been to the store three times and left disappointed each time. Prices are much higher than walmart and lines are always very long. Zero customer service.
