Great day at the farm, my daughter was home for spring break and she wanted to visit the Alpacas ! Painted sky is near our home and Mitchel has a great knowledge of Alpacas, they have an amazing Fiber Mill on site and the alpacas are amazing animals, gentle and friendly, most love cuddles and a massage!

This was amazing!!! I would highly recommend touring the Painted Sky Alpaca Farm and Fiber Mill. Mitchell gave us an incredibly detailed tour. We were able to pet and mingle with so many beautiful Alpacas. They are so soft! The tour of their fiber mill was fascinating. Best couple of hours spent with some wonderful people and beautiful animals.

We celebrated my mom’s birthday by learning more about Alpacas! Everyone at the farm was friendly and informative and we got to pet the Alpacas. It was a fabulous day and I can’t recommend Painted Sky enough.

We had an extraordinarily great time visiting the cuddly, fluffy, sweet alpacas all the while listening to Motown music! Who could ask for anything more? Everyone was warm and welcoming and made sure we had the best time. The farm is beautiful. The folks who own it and work there are delightful and Uber accommodating. We had someone in a wheelchair and they made certain there were no issues. The shop is also full of treasures. Make sure to load up on the gun socks, hats and gloves!! It was such a memorable event. We are all going back in the Spring!!

We had the best time! The staff were wonderful and super accommodating for our sister who us in a wheelchair. Hopefully at some point they will get a handicapped accessible bathroom, but I understand it’s a farm. They really tried to help us at every turn. Must importantly we had an absolute blast!

Fun and informative place to visit for an afternoon! The alpacas are so soft and sweet! Worth the hour+ trip from the southwest of Baltimore and in/near Philly. We stopped by the Broken Spoke Winery before and then the Fish Whistle for dinner afterward. It was a great day!

My friends and I attended the painting with alpacas event, and we absolutely loved the experience! The staff was lovely and are genuinely excited to share all about the amazing alpacas living on the farm. The alpacas themselves were sweet, friendly, and curious.I highly encourage experiencing Painted Sky for a tour or event!

It was awesome! This is the second Alpaca Farm I went to. The tour person was so friendly and knowledgeable. She talks to us like a long time friend. You can truly tell she's passionate and love the alpacas. And the alpaca themselves are so sweet. They wanted to be petted the whole time. And the baby was so cute. The other Farm I went to, it was great but the alpaca are not this friendly and don't want to be petted.She also showed us the process to make the fibers. It was fascinating. Overall 10 stars 🌟 and highly recommend this place.She also said the best time to come is in March so you can see them nice and fluffy right before they get sheared.

Painting with Alpacas was incredibly cathartic. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the stars, the alpacas, were adorable. I would sign up again in a heartbeat as would my daughter!

I have visited a few alpaca farms, but this was the first one where they let you be in the same pen and love on them. It was incredible! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, you can tell how much they love and care for these animals.

It was our family’s first tour and visit to the farm, and it was worth the trip! We loved visiting with the alpacas (especially my girls, ages 4 and 7), and we found some great alpaca goods. Will definitely visit another time.

My husband and I visited the farm a couple days ago and it was an amazing experience! Mitchell took the time to tell us all about the farm and their beautiful alpacas while socializing with the girls. We got to meet so many of them: Deedee, Bella, Cinnamon, September, Mocha, Snowy and many others. They are truly amazing, so smart, friendly and very soft! You can tell their owners love and care about them. Mitch answered all of the questions we had and showed us their unique gift shop, so we were able to get some wonderful goodies before we left. We're definitely coming back with friends and family!

Few hours of pure joy and happiness as you get to hang out with a family of the cutest alpacas and get to know everything about them. The owner is amazing — knowledgeable, patient, thorough. You might also encounter a mean looking cat and some puppies. We had a lot of fun.

The owners are so nice and the atmosphere here is great. Getting up close to the alpacas is so much fun and they love people. It is truly an interactive experience. Plus the knowledge shared about alpacas was so fascinating. If you are in the area call ahead to schedule a tour or set one up online. It is never crowded and you will have a blast!

This tour was the best of my bucket list. We found an alpaca mill with intricate explanations of the processes involved. The alpacas were very friendly and even expected to be petted. I always hoped to pat an alpaca.

Loved my experience yesterday! The owner was super friendly and personable and the alpacas loved him. It was so cool to be in a pen with all of them! I had an awesome time and would recommend taking a tour!

Very disappointed.The website states: “ They have a very calming effect which you feel as soon as you enter the fields. At Painted Sky Alpaca Farm, you will have the opportunity to get up close & personal with our alpacas.”We drove an hour and a half today under the impression we would get to play with and pet alpacas. We briefly got to stand in a crowded space with one alpaca and 14 other people, but besides that we just listened to someone talk for 90 minutes.It was so hot, I got overheated and there was nowhere to sit, no access to water or a bathroom and no other staff around to ask for help. All in all, just really disappointing. If you’re planning to go to interact with the alpacas, just know you might not get to. Website feels very misleading. There was no reason given as to why we couldn’t interact with them.

We had 30 seconds of actual interaction with an Alpaca. The rest of the time we just heard someone talk about them. The experience was a very long 1.5 hours. We only went because we thought we would get to spend time with these animals. It was a big waste of time and money, I was extremely disappointed.

Tour was awesome - the alpaca part involved hanging out with the alpacas and getting to pet them while learning a ton of info about them, and the textile mill part was also really well run and was super informative. The alpacas were adorable and super friendly. Was a fantastic experience overall, highly recommended to anyone with even a little interest.

This small family run farm is a real joy to visit! Even though it was far too hot to go out in the fields with the alpacas during our tour, we still had a great time hearing about the history of alpaca breading, the textile fiber industry, and the workings of the farm and fiber mill! The part of this experience that really stuck out to me was how apparent it was that they really cared for their animals and importance they put on providing the animals as good a quality of life as they could give them. I definitely recommend visiting the gift shop and getting some truly A+ alpaca apparel; much of it made right from the animals you got to meet!
