We drive about 30 min about once a month when in season. We love trying all the different varieties of the apples and pears. They are all delicious and are way better than their grocery store counterparts in taste and texture. I recommend trying and also swinging by Lewis orchard which is right there as well.Most of the employees are very friendly and helpful. There is one older lady who will answer your questions and everything, but seems like she's permanently grumpy, borderline mean, not sure why. Not a deal breaker to prevent us from coming back, but that would be my only knock against this place.

I purchased both an Ever Crisp and a Candy Crisp box. The Ever Crisp apple was a delightful combination of sweetness, crispiness, and juiciness, making it incredibly delicious. The Candy Crisp apple was also quite enjoyable. However, my experience was marred by the extremely rude behavior of the elderly owner or worker. Despite driving 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach the location, I have no desire to return due to the poor customer service.

Kingsbury's peaches, cherries, apples, and asian pears are so special! I am just one of the lucky people who live close to these precious orchards, so I get to visit here every week in the season. The peaches are, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The apples are so fresh and have exceptional flavors. Also their prices are very reasonable, too. I am very glad that I can enjoy the region's agricultural richness. I highly recommend Kingsbury Orchard to anyone seeking flavorful and wholesome local fruits.

Have a wonderful day picking peaches with my family. Prices are very reasonable, owners are super nice and the old lady is also very friendly as well and not as claimed by the other review. Loved the location as it’s near to DC and will be back for more peaches weekly. Totally recommended for a weekend’s trip. FromSingapore .

To @Eunice Lee I don't know which might have helped you during your visit to Kingsbury Orchard? But I can say that my wife and I have been going there for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience!!! I would hate to think someone decides not to visit them based on your review. I don't know what happened but everyone has bad days and you never know what someone might be going through at any given moment. I would encourage anyone looking for the finest hand picked fresh apples to visit them but hurry their last weekend of the season is November 18th/19th!!

The underlayer apples has multiple bruises, and the owner refuse to change. Usually I would buy several boxes and place them in fridge. I did found bad fruits and thought it was my bad luck. Today I want to gift half box of apples to my friend so I start to divide them in the back trunk. I noticed under a layer of perfect apples, there were multiple apples with bruises of various size. I understand that fruits are fresh product and those were acceptable. But I found 2 apples with obvious deep soft oozing bruises size about 2x quarters coin and the color already turned yellow, which means it may turn bad soon. I asked the owner to exchange these two apples, she refused and told me “they are fine”, “ I told you they are fine, you need to leave.” I will not buy apples from this place again.

I went to pick up Apple and elderly couple were very friendly and help load my car. They have many different kind of apple. I definitely would love to come back again.

I purchased a box of apples that looked great with the apples they placed on top. When we get to the bottom of the box, surprisingly 10+ apples are bad with black spots. So disappointing with this business that they would cheat on their customers. Never going back again!!!

If I can, I would give this place a negative 5. What a bad experience last Saturday that we had at this place. We asked the gray hair lady about one kind of apples our friend got from this place, and she pretended not able to understand us. We picked one box of Asian pears not from the very front (the second row) and want to check it out. The old lady came out confronting us and asked us to rearrange other box to replace the place. I just commented that I thought their custom services person can do it and this is not a big deal (I guess she was mad that I didn't take the box of fruit from the front row) and she told us to get out!!!! I will never come back to this place. I just want to tell every one who doesn't speak English as their mother language not going to this place as this lady (I was told that she is the owner) has a fundamental but maybe unspeakable hatred and abhorrence toward immigrants. So why we should be patrons of her business?

Terrible experience with the rude, old lady. She yelled at a couple who just checked whether there is any rotten fruit in the basket they would like to purchase. When the couple explained nicely that they just take a look before they purchase, the old lady continued to yell “don’t touch it. We don’t want your business”. Although I was not yelled at, but witnessing this kind of unprofessional and rude attitude towards customers is not acceptable. I chose not to purchase anything from them since I truly felt the frustration as a customer.

This is the best orchard in the area. There are many varieties of fruits just harvested from their own orchard, fresh and delicious. you have no way to get these fruits in the grocery stores. The owners are very straightforward and respectful. When you ask the difference of fruit flavor they will describe it precisely. They used to give washed sample fruits before pandemic to help customers to make their own choice. Also the owner lady will send a guy to help you to load the box into your car if the box is too heavy. We have been visiting Kingbury for many years and always have pleasant experience there.

Visited Kingsbury Orchard yesterday. The staff was very helpful in explaining the different variety of peaches. My husband asked for a knife to try the peaches after we purchased them and the gentleman went out of his way to get a plastic one for him. The peaches we ate were so juicy and sweet. The prices very reasonable.

The gray hair old lady with glasses wearing a red shirt showed bad attitude towards my friend who was just asking what is the best selling fruit here. The lady said “what kind of question is that”, and pretending she didn’t understand what my friend said.Well, my friend is a respected instructor at a martial art school working with Americans without any English issues.The old lady then proceeded to the White customer next to my friend with the welcoming and nice attitude.I recommended my friend to visit this place because my family has been buying fruits from here and we had no problem with other workers here. But reading other reviews indicates that this specific person showed such an attitude towards customers with specific races and really been disgracing this farm.I love fruits here, but cannot accept my friend got treated like that. Hope they take this seriously for their business.

A friend once told me Kingsbury grew the best peaches they've ever tasted. I bought 3 different varieties and they were all quite delicious. This is a very small fruit stand for a local Orchard. I wouldn't bring children that can't keep hands to themselves and it's rude to manhandle the produce.

The fruit is beyond amazing! Gave a three star because the elderly woman checking us out was extremely rude. We bought peaches went to the car, ate one and went right back to get more. The lady thought I stole the peach because she didn’t remember us buying them ten minutes earlier. We originally bought 3 bags but went back for 2 more. Fruit Yum! Lady yuck!

Mr Zheng was right!the woman at the place is not a very thoughtful person(I am sure it's the same person), and if I am wrong,, I apologize only to the woman he referencedI didn't like the way she spoke to my wife and my sisters.most people who buy fruit like to inspect them first when buying .since they didn't have a sign saying " please don't touch before buying."they didn't know that they couldn't touch the fruit. because in the grocery stores, you are allowed to touch the fruits before buying.the woman said she spoke to them three times, but my sisters are not fluent in speaking English.she should have thought of a more respectful way to talk to them.I had to inform the woman not to speakto them with that tone and delivery.

I would give a zero if I could. Their customer service is horrible. My home is about 30 min driving to the orchard so I called to make sure they have the product before I went. A lady answered the phone. I asked whether they have the product. The lady said yes. I asked whether I could pay over the phone to reserve it. She said no need the product will be there when I arrive. I drove over there and there is none left. I asked the old lady at check out but she denied she ever spoke with me over the phone. She said she was busy all day long and had no time to answer calls. I said I don’t know but maybe there was another lady who answered the phone. She said it’s impossible because only she answers calls. Can you believe that? She not only failed to keep her promise but also lied. I will never go there again.

Hit Kingsbury for peach first time this year, good peaches good price. Watermelon runs out today. High quality local peaches, price the same as last year while food price increased big time in the same period nation wide. Way to go Kingsbury.

Very high quality produce here. As for some of the negative reviews, I do notice that there’s a pattern of people having their kids run amok making a mess, so understandably the owner would be upset from that. I did not get an racist impressions from her

Heed the negative reviews about poor customer service, particularly by the lady who wears a red shirt and works the register. She is rude to many customers, but virtually every time I have visited I have heard her make especially demeaning comments to non-white customers. It was so bad today that my son noticed and said something about it. We won’t be back.

The worst farm we have even seen. The stuff especialy one old woman was very rude. There fruits not teasty, peaches was like a toy. We lost money and time. And it is not organic(((((

We have been this farm for pears for several years. Honestly, the price is very reasonable. We had recommended it to our friends. But recent two years, they stopped to supply small pieces for tasting. It is really hard to decide if we buy or not, which kind of pears should we buy? Furthermore, this year, an employee lady there was very mean to my friends. She had very bad attitude to their customers and very mean to tell “Don’t touch the box”. It was very bad. Even, she said you can not touch the box by law. The employees transported fruits by bared hands. It is ridiculous. I hope the owner can correct her.

These are the best apples and peaches in the world from a wonderful family farm. Mr. Kingsbury is an apple artist!!! We stop in 3-4 times a month, and feel great showering friends and family with fresh, juicy, tasty varieties. We always see DC and Virginia tags, and love that people drive miles for these fruits. Go to their website to get the Harvest schedule. We always load up on the Pink Ladies in late October and enjoy them at Christmas -- savoring two seasons from the Fall harvest. We love Kingsbury's!
