It used to better..... this was a literal local gathering spot. Friendly and the smell of good cooking always. Now entire store inventory is reduced and there is almost never any cooked food out like there used to be. Empty every time we go in now. You have to call ahead for pizza, even one slice and chicken which takes 25 minutes-yes 25 minutes. No call no chicken.Same bossy woman at front counter should stay home and let the nicer lady work. You dont know you have until its gone- so true

I love this place because the family atmosphere, the store has snacks drinks as well as useful little trinket. The best part about this place tho is the fried chicken. ITS PHENOMENAL, outside crispy but very juicy when you bite into it. For those reasons I WOULD RECOMMEND

Excellent fried chicken and the half smokes are grilled to order (not like most gas stations where they'd be sitting for hours on some rollers). Limited beer selection - no domestic six-packs in cans for some reason. Very friendly staff, will definitely grab some more fried chicken on my next trip to Sugarloaf.

Food is just incredible, specifically the breakfast sandwiches and fried chicken. The staff is super friendly and fast. There's a little bit of everything as far as convenience store fare is concerned, and it's not too far from a number of great hiking. Definitely worth a drive out to the country.

The Fried Chicken here is probably the best kept secret in three states. Better than KFC, better than Popeyes, better than Royal Farms, anyone.Call ahead, they will make it fresh for you. It is a life changing experience.And they sell gas around the clock. The intersection just before it, coming from the West has a speed camera on it. Still worth it.

I grew up right beside the market. My driveway literally connected to the parking lot. I cant even imagine how many times I entered that store. But i know everytime i did it was always full of friendly faces and that small town charm. The employees were always great and Rita made the best fried chicken on the planet. It's one of those places where you always see someone you know and cant leave without having a good convo and a cup of coffee with someone. Great place to get gas...good food and much more.

Enjoy yourself and the side-eye from bikers as you order a bucket of too much fried chicken from this small spot. We stop by here before/after river tubing trips. Their sausage with peppers and onions really hits the spot (that hint of mustard makes it), and their deviled eggs are also darn tasty. Nothing can top that fried chicken, though!

Very affordable. I came here on a kayaking trip in Harpers Ferry and had the fried chicken which was absolutely delicious. I’m definitely going to stop back here if I’m in the area again, I truly loved it. Definitely recommend as a stop if you’re passing by or in the area.

Used to be great little place with the best fried chicken,now everytime you go they have none ready and expect you to wait 15 mins...has happened the last 5 times there..wont be going back anymore.service sucks now...you'd think they'd be smart enough to cook more before it runs out but nope...not the sharpest here

A bit of a journey off the C&O towpath worth the walk or ride. Excellent grill selections and deli to go. Also a good place to get limited resupply before hitting Harper's Ferry.

This place has my stomach leaping with joy. There Philly cheesesteak is the best I've ever had. The people there, or should I say the staff, are very friendly. There are other places, but this is the place to be during breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A great place to stop for anything. It is very affordable restaurant with very few tables. A convenience store with gasoline. Bait and beer, Soda and snacks. Try the fried chicken. Kathy is awesome.Very close to Monocacy Aqueduct on the C&O Canal. Close to Sugarloaf Mtn,
