Pharmacist wouldn’t give me my son’s prescription which was filled and ready for pickup at 7:03pm when someone was already getting their prescription filled at 7:01pm. If you can go anywhere else for your needs I highly recommend doing so. Hopefully this place closes and gets replaced by a Walgreens or Rite Aid.

If I can give 0 for a review, I'd do it! This pharmacy closed the drive through permanently, it appears. Customer service is very poor, phone calls are not answered in a timely manner, mostly, the callers are on hold for an hour or more. It's very aggravating to receive this poor quality service. I don't recommend this facility.

I see why this cvs has bad reviews. Called before going because may have covid. Asked of a covid home test could be bought at drive thru. Said absolutley.... waited at window for 27 minuets only to be told have to come in. Trying to avoid getting other people sick hence why o called ahead only to be told the wrong information

My son went to the Derwood CVS last night (8:15ish 11/3/23) looking for coffee nut m&ms, for me. He picked up a Mio peach flavor for water. He was walking around the store...looking around and a female CVS employee was following him around. She came up to him and said..." you know you need to pay for that"He said..yeah. She continued to follow him around, making him extremely uncomfortable. He felt like he had to purchase the item, which he wasn't sure he really wanted. I find her behavior extremely rude and unprofessional. My son is a responsible young man , holding down two jobs. I am very disappointed in the treatment that he received. You really need to train your employees to provide better customer service. I won't be returning and will tell everyone I know what happened.

The location is so convenient but the staff are rude every-single-time. I'm done. I don't understand. I see how the treat the people in front of me and all I can say is thar the staff are consistent. Absolutely unprofessional. Bye bye CVS

I like the store portion of this location but am extremely unhappy with the pharmacy. They routinely let the phone just ring and don’t answer. One pharmacy tech basically told me that they can’t be bothered to answer the phone (she was more rude than that) and she said I was very rude for asking what determines when they pick up the phone. As a regular customer that has been repeatedly been left on hold for over 30 minutes and nobody ever picked up, I think this was a very fair question. Especially since I asked it quite nicely. The technician went on a mini tirade that resulted in the customer behind me loudly commenting on her rudeness. Other technicians have tried to blame me for my prescriptions not being ready on time by saying I should have done things that are literally impossible. Examples include telling me I should have called ahead (they don’t answer their phones), or that I should use the app to take prescriptions off hold or to expedite them (neither of which can be done through the app and the technicians can’t instruct me on how to do this).Final note - a technician told me they have a 5 day backlog on prescriptions. I had one that wasn’t filled for over 2 weeks after they told me it was scheduled to be filled. The pharmacy manager emailed me at one point offering to speak with me about my concerns, but she never responded when I emailed back asking to set up a time to speak.This is all very unfortunate. They used to be a good pharmacy.

I agree with all the negative reviews about the pharmacy staff. They seem really unhappy people. I understand they are very busy but it’s not an excuse to be rude. And beware, even if they supposedly close at 6pm on a Saturday by 5:50 they are no longer taking customers. And when you ask for help, they lie to your face saying they close at 5pm. Send your prescriptions somewhere else.

Pharmacy closes at 7 pm weekdays. I got out of work at 6, traveled and by the time I made it there it 704. I couldn't pick medication for my elderly parents. This is ridiculous. You know you charge for delivery as well. Change your hours that make sense for working families. Or have a puck up box like Amazon.

Second wrong dose med error in the past year. Dispensed a 1.5 times overdose of a med that can cause serious kidney damage, coma, or death. Really disappointed in the safety systems designed to prevent these errors. There are big gaps.

Pharmacy staff donot answer any phone. To speak with Pharmacy staff average waiting is more 35 minutes. I am thinking to switch Pharmacy is the only choice left.

The pharmacy manager was very unprofessional. Our issue was we got a prescription that the insurance did not cover and was initially almost $100. We got a GoodRX coupon that cut the cost almost in half. The pharmacist that day worked with our insurance and doctor and got the quantity changed so it would be covered and all was good. My wife then went to urgent care again for the same issue and more was prescribed. Again, this was covered by our insurance. The problem was, when I went to pick it up, not only did they fill the new prescription, they filled the one that was cancelled and not covered by insurance. Not realizing this because I wanted to get the meds to my wife ASAP, we went back the next day and they said it was their policy to not refund prescriptions even if they make the mistake. I then asked if different doctors, which was the case in this situation, prescribe the same meds, why didn't they challenge that? The pharmacy manager laughed at me. So, if you want opiods, get prescriptions from different docs and go to this CVS, they don't challenge anything and will just fill it and let you sell it on the street or even OD yourself. This location should be shut down.

If I could, this would be zero stars. Beware the short, fat, fake blonde pharmacy tech. My prescription was lost, so my doctor called a new one in, with explicit instructions that it could be filled. First I called at 9 AM and was told they had to contact the insurance, but that it would be ready in a couple hours. Then I encountered the washed-up, chubby, 4th runner up for homecoming queen. She told me that it wouldn't be filled AT ALL. Then when I asked to speak to the pharmacist she - verbatim (a word I'm SURE she doesn't know, FYI) - stated, "Well, you can hold!" She left me on hold so long I was able to drive all the way to the pharmacy, and when I pulled into the parking lot THEY HUNG UP ON ME. The pharmacist then told me they had a 'glitch' in the system, which was an obvious lie. Also, after standing at the counter while my doctor called them, LO AND BEHOLD THEY WERE ABLE TO FILL THE PRESCRIPTION. Kind of seems like fat barbie is either stupid, lazy, or both. I'm going with both.

Order online picture to print… after 1 hr I came to the store and the lady told me it’s not ready yet come back in 1hr, after 1 hr still not ready… they better close down the picture section… it’s not worth it… if I can give this place no star I will do it…

The pharmacy staffs have no willing to help or support customers!! I asked a question about my prescriptions when I pick it up from drive thru, but the staff ignored me...So I had to go inside to ask a simple question! What a nice service! Today was my 3rd visit and 3rd disappointing visit!

This would be zero stars if possible - the pharmacy staff at this location is incompetent at best - they are angry, rude, and lazy. They do not answer the phone and it forces you to go to the store to be told the script is unavailable but no additional information regarding status or ETA. Maybe if they actually responded to customer inquiries, every interaction would not end in irate customers leaving for a different pharmacy. Inept and unprofessional.

This pharmacy has terrible customer service. In the recent month or two it has gotten significantly worse. There is a male pharmacist whose attitude is poor. The team seems over worked and all carrying bad attitudes. The phone rings and rings with no answer, you sit in the drive thru for 15-30 minutes at times, and when you show up for your prescription at the time they set, it isn't available for pickup. I will be changing my pharmacy and would not recommend this one!

I wish I could rate zero star or negative numbers. Everyone, never think about taking vaccine here. You need to fill in online forms taking time to get appointment and this CVS just cancel your appointment without notice.This CVS canceled our COVID vaccine appointment without notice. I and my wife both took half day off for this but it was just waste of our time. The lady at pharmacy counter just said that they don’t have vaccine and never apologized for it. From their attitude, I sensed that they do this kind of thing very often.

I went to Derwood CVS to get for my mother medicine with medicaid card. Incompetent CVS employee told me to pay full price since medicaid is not health insurance to get medicine. I went to Kingsfarm Safeway and get medicine for no problem with medicaid card. Surely, Derwood CVS employees are retarded.

I've been here several times for the pharmacy and have had to go back and forth because the people who work there have no idea how to do their jobs; I've been denied several times obtaining my prescription because it doesn't appear in their "system," which is frustrating, especially when calling my doctors and having them tell me that the prescription has already been sent and that it should appear. It's impossible for me to receive my prescription when it shouldn't be, and when they do, they're quite disrespectful about it.

Don’t expect ANY help at this location. The manager (older woman with thick accent) refuses to help her front desk with anything. Refuses to honor coupons that have no reason to be denied, refuses to honor sales that are clearly listed all over the store and will literally leave you at the counter waiting for help. Absolutely terrible customer service and will never be back to this location. Hopefully you can hire someone who’s actually willing to do their job.

Pharmacy technicians are so busy running their gizzards to each other they can't pick up the phones. They don't send pre authorizations to the doctors when they say they will. You have to go in person and give them an earful for you to get anything actually done. Poor pharmacist stuck with lazy technicians.

The pharmacy here is almost never staffed properly. I once timed the wait at the drive through out of sheer frustration. It takes between 10-25 minutes to get through one drive through pickup.

Terrible, came in to get my prescription, they told me I have to pay out of pocket because my insurance canceled their contract with CVS. I called my insurance and they did not cancel it, so please before you pay out of pocket confirm it with your insurance.

Pharmacy review: I had an urgent prescription transfer help need, visiting from out of town and had forgotten my prescription from out of state. It was nearing closing time around Saturday 5:30, but Pharmacist Karen was very accommodating and able to make the call to my normal prescription pharmacy, Express Scripts, completed the transfer, and filled before closing. Thank you so much for the urgent help when I really needed it!

I scheduled online and took day off to have vaccin and flue shot here. They said there is no vaccin and said sent me cancel notice which were complete lie. Instead of free vaccine like they advertised, they charged me $49 for flue shot and yet no vaccine. Why even put neon sign to advertised free covid vaccine and flue shot??

The pharmacist at this location is unprofessional. She would not assist me when I requested a flu-shot as a walk-in client. She seemed bothered that I had even asked and exhibits a Karen-like demeanor towards me.Need I not remind her that her job is to serve her community as a public health advocate by providing basic services like administrating a basic flu-shot. She is free to quit her job if she's going through some mental illnesses. I know at least 5 other qualified candidates who are willing to take her place.

Honestly, the staff are courteous. The pharmacy itself takes forever and the pharmacist (a middle-aged blond woman) is simply rude. She walked away in the middle of a conversation explaining my benefits after maybe 45 seconds of interaction? And this was during their “down time” on Google.
