We ate there for the first time for my birthday dinner this evening. We were very pleased with everything and plan to return. To start those corned beef poppers(chef kiss). I highly recommend and the serving is perfect for 2 people to share. We also had the brussel sprouts. I loved them even though they were spicy. I don't do spice but they were delicious and I kept eating them. I loved the potato leek soup. The flavor and texture was fantastic. I had shepherds pie and my husband had bangers and mash. Both were very good. We ended with bread pudding and baileys chocolate mousse. As someone who is normally picky about bread pudding because restaurants usually cant get it right I am telling you, get the bread pudding. The egg custard and consistency of the bread is perfection. It brought back memories of my nanny's bread pudding. My husband did get one of the whiskey flights as well and he enjoyed them. Our server was amazing and I wish I would have gotten her name. All staff who we came in contact with were polite and very hard working.

It was my first visit last Sunday. I had been curious about this place since I bought a nearby liquor store almost a decade ago. Its setup was so great and the parking lot was always packed. The interior was spacious with high ceiling, welcoming and definately Irish. Sitting was roomy and comfortable.Food and sides were delicious and savory. Surprisingly the prices were so inexpensive. My overall experience was five stars except that a busboy was in a little hurry.

It was my first time tonight on my way home from a great day sailing on the Bay. We needed some good food in a roadside pub with a warm comfortable atmosphere. The Killarney House did not fail on any detail. We sat inside. The Lamb & Dexter burgers were deliciousness. The Onion & Leek soup was lovely. Charlie, our server, did a great job.Vegetarian options: Salads & dips.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly options on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to get to the outside patio.

First time here. Stopped in as a group with about 14 other motorcycles. The service was fast and friendly. Beer selection was great, cold and delicious. I had the fish and chips. Fresh cod that was delicious. My wife had Shepherds Pie. It was very good, but used beef and not lamb. The place has a great atmosphere and a super nice little heated outdoor area. We will be back for sure.

This is the best Irish Pub I've ever been to in the US! I went with a party of 15, and having sampled each plate, I can say that everything is delicious from apps to desserts. We loved it so much that we returned (not all 15 people) the next night for a late night meal and live entertainment. I'd make a trip back to the city simply to eat here again!

We went for corned beef and cabbage a day before St. Patricks Day to beat the crowd. It was fully occupied anyway but great parking spot near entrance and quickly seated and served. We certainly will go back to treat ourselves to other offerings on their varied menu.

very nice server but extremely disappointed in cottage pie. it was more like rich gravy soup with very buttery potatoes..had I eaten it I definitely would have gotten sick it was so heavy. there were some turkey and few vehtable but only in very bottom of a deep bowlot was mostly gravy. awful as so rich. I sent back for shrimp which was ok but nothing special. I used to eat there often many years ago. no more sadly.

A very nice place, busy when we went there on a Friday night in August. Outdoor area is first come first serve, but there were plenty of seats available when we arrived around 8pm. Ordered the cabbage wraps because they were recommended (not my thing because I'm not a mustard person). Husband got the salmon. Daughter got fish and chips (these were the winner) and son got a burger. Very good pricing! The two desserts we got her were strawberry flowerless cake and a gluten free pineapple upside down cake. The strawberry cake looked beautiful but was a tad dry. There was live music inside (love that). I would love to hear more Irish/world music-really looking for that experience when coming to a place like this. Killarney House is a nice stop in central Maryland. ☘️☘️

Such a cozy atmosphere in the dining. I'm very grateful for the large gluten free menu, including desserts! Our server was very sweet and accomodating. I believe her name was Jess.I had the potato & leek soup followed by the Turkey Club on a gluten-free roll with fries. They do use a shared fryer, so those with extreme gluten-sensitivities should choose another side option. The sandwich was delicious and very filling!

My husband and I love this place. It's now one of our go to places. A few dishes we've had include the fish & chips, salmon, and Shepherds Pie. On our last visit we had a pork belly appetizer which was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. The renovations to the restaurant look great. It has the old school pub look with just enough modern-day touches. The live music is great, but a bit too loud, but that's just my personal preference. This is a neighborhood gem.Parking: Plenty of parking, easily accessible.

My wife and grandson(his first time) dined here tonight. It was amazing. My grandson asked how long had this this been here and you never told me or took me. He had the corned beef and cabbage and ate every bite and it is a hefty portion. The really nice man we always see there, maybe the owner came to our table spoke to us. He really knows his clientele. Our server was awesome. Music from the bar side was awesome. What a wonderful experience. Thank you. Don Layfield Crownsville MD

This was our first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We started things off with The corned beef poppers. I have anticipated a totally different flavor and my wife doesn't even like corned beef yet She liked this. I didn't anticipate the wonderful mustard being an accent to the flavor, but it was Definitely a go out and get them now.For our main course I got the Irish vegetarian boxty and my wife got the medieval beef stew. She said that was the best beef stew she'd ever had. I really enjoyed the boxty. The boxty is a would recommend and the beef stew is a go out and get it now.I finished off the meal with a bread pudding and it is definitely a would recommend. The birds vanilla custard is the bomb! All in all, I had a great time here eating and have to also recommend that the bathrooms are extremely clean and well maintained.2022-6-29 It has been 3 weeks since our last visit. I wanted to come back because the food was so good. Here is my review of what we tried this time. The first thing I want to say that I didn't mention before was that they have Coke products.Today we started with:Killarney Cabbage WrapsFresh cabbage leaves, champ potatoes, house angus corned beef, hand rolled and topped with Irish mustard sauce.I give these a meh plus.  They were good and unusual. The Champ potatoes inside with the corned beef was good and the cabbage exterior was crunchy and good.Donna, got the:Fish and ChipsWild cod, hand-dipped in homemade beer batter, Irish chips, tartarWifey and I give this a meh and would not order it again.  Donna says the fish wasn't salty enough and I thought they were just average.I got the:Chicken Mac N ChickenMacaroni, cheese, chicken baked casserole, seasoned bread crumbs, steamed vegetablesI detected zero bread crumbs but the chicken and the macaroni and cheese was a would recommend. There was at least one piece of chicken in every single bite and it was definitely not skimpy on the chicken.  It had a very filling, comfortable food flavor.  I would definitely order this again except for The fact that I love the corned beef poppers and the medieval beef stew so much more. I wanted them today so badly but I wanted to try other things.  🤪For dessert, Wifey got the pineapple upside down cake. It was a meh plus. Something different but doesn't stand out.I got the bread pudding again. Bread pudding is definitely a would recommend and I enjoyed it just as much the second time. Here are my review terms:Yuk - HorribleGrimace - BadMeh --AverageWould Recommend - Would order againGo out and get it Now! - I go out of my way to return to order this dish.

The good: weekend brunch bowl was decent. The bad: appetizer was kind of a rip off. $8 for 3 small meatballs. The service was a bit slow, almost missed out on the brunch menu due to the staff taking too long to get our order in.

This was our first time there, and everything was absolutely perfect. We met a manager, Oliver, and it was like being special guests invited warmly into someone's home. We will find lots of reasons to go back.Vegetarian options: I had a vegetarian potato pancake with gorgeous veggies, and it was delicious.

5 stars does not begin to capture the blissful happiness brought on by this establishment. The host was the most pleasant human, an epitome of a gentleman. He warmly welcomed us and when we asked if our pup could join us in their outdoor seating his face lit up and he insisted that our puppy come in. He came back to our table multiple times to check on us, providing our dog with fresh water, pets and spoiling him with bacon. Our server, Wyatt, was covering over a half dozen tables and never broke a sweat. He was incredibly professional and wonderfully attentive. Now the food... the food... the food was nothing less than heavenly. The corned beef poppers were so tendar they melted in your mouth. The fish and chips had deliciously plump fish and was perfectly seasoned. The pot roast had the biggest most tendar pieces of beef and sautéed vegetables to die for. Simply by chance we happen upon this gem and being 90 minutes from home we will be making the trip back soon for Killarney House.

Excellent and extraordinary menu. Highly recommended. Excellent staff and beers!Regular customer. Still excellent. Ordered 7 dishes yesterday and ate comfortably outdoors. Excellent service.5/20/22 Excellent turkey cottage pie with huge chunks of turkey breast. Norwegian Salmon excellent too.1116/22 Weds lunch. Fish & chips very good. Beef stew superb. Service stretched as so very busy.. Still highly recommended.Updates 1/23 - 2/23 Regular diner over 24 years.*Updates -Three visits in a month:- First one excellent.- Second one, to a very full dining room, was instantaneously disastrous. imho poorly cooked chicken breast* or unwashed spinach salad?). I do cook myself and I should not have eaten that chicken. Quietly and discreetly pointed out my problem at the desk on my way to...It was dealt with OK overall, but the General Manager did KH no favors by coming to my table, both to apologize, remove the charge and then to persistently argue her kitchen's case in public as to the cause..I did actually feel the need to consult a Doctor, but recovered by the next day.Nobody's perfect. In context my only complaint in around 60 visits.- Third visit less than a week later. (I take my reviews seriously). Much to my companion's astonishment I actually had exactly the same dish. No comparison. *Chicken was completely different second time around and was very good indeed.1/7/24 Good visit on a Sunday lunch. They were short staffed. I explained that daughter did not like her steak and it was redone with no questions. Excellent as although it was overcooked per order there was nothing much wrong with it. Manager and server Karen were excellent.
