I just checked out and not a single normal line was open. It was ALL self checkout. I had $250 worth of food. The machine stopped me between every item because it wasn't registering that I put the items in the bag. Then it yelled at me for putting the bags in my cart. What should have taken 5 minutes took me closer to 20. Please always have one checkout open with a real person.

Marty provides exceptional customer service. He works so hard you'd think he's part machine. Today he helped me find everything on my shopping list. It took 2 hours but I really respect that level of effort. I could honestly see him running the store someday.

The store itself is great. Plenty of fresh food options. There is ONE staff member who works/watches the self check out line. Who has for months been harassing my family everytime we go in there. One occasion she came over grabbed doughnuts physically out of my hand to punch them in the system. WE ARE IN SELF CHECKOUT WE KNOW HOW TO HIT BAKERY>DOUGHNUTS>ENTER AMMOUNT. On other occasions she comes over to tell us how to scan our groceries. "Don't forget to scan the items on the bottom" she will say. Now today we go in with a MANUFACTURER coupon and of course it has to be her working. She said we couldn't use it, went to another store they accepted it just fine. Can't even rent from the redbox without her coming over and commenting on how to do it. We shop at the lavale store weekly but if this harassment doesn't stop we will change markets. Also don't tell customers who also work in retail to "have a blessed day" we know what you are really meaning. Will be contacting corporate tomorrow as we have had enough. Other then literally this one employee the store is great.

Deli was not pleasant. Took forever to get ahold of them then when we arrived for our order we waited another 15 minutes just for them to even acknowledge we were standing there. When they ask if we needed something and I told them our order another lady made a snarky remark.

Excellent selection of prepared food, awesome sales. My only complaint is that there are no real cashiers to check out customers later at night. Last night as i was approaching the checkout the cashier running self checkout did ask me if she could help me check-out cuz it was close to closing, my order was large and i did accept her help and things went pretty smooth.

Staff is super friendly but the shopping experience as a whole has become overwhelming at times. While technology is supposed to make things more efficient sometimes it is applied poorly and old school methods work for the masses.

Check out coach was working at self check out area. I can't remember her name but she was very helpful. Martin's should value a great employee like her.

Next to CVS, Martins is the worst pharmacy. Called in my script to renew 5 days prior to when I needed, renewal was ok'd and said would be available for pickup. Went to pickup few days later and was told the RX had been in back order for a month. Nothing was told to me when I renewed the script. Never got an email or text that it was on back order. Not sure what is going on at this pharmacy but there's new employees every month and there's always a long line. I'm switching all my meds to a different pharmacy.

Almost 50% of their drinks (popular sodas excluded) are expired. And it’s not expired by like just a day or even a month. I’m talking about purchasing a beverage in February of 2024 and it had expired in July of 2023. My fault for not looking, but some responsibility has to fall on Martin’s. And the return aspect…..ughh…. It will cost me more time and money to return a less than $2 drink. Bad bad Martin’s

This is the best martin's around.I am obsessed with freeze-dried blueberries. And this is the only place around here I can find them. There are so many grocery stores closer to me but I don't care. I go to this one because they have extra items that other ones don't

I bought this avocado 1.5 days ago and it was already black when I cut in for dinner tonight (Purchased Thursday, opened Saturday) for $5 I expect more than 2 days of shelf life.What gives, Martins?

Well had trouble with the prices ask the manager of the dept to help me. See the one on the left. She still told me it was $15 and some change well what about the 12 dollar price in the lower right.Should I be wary of Martin's now.

I am at you location every other week to shop for my Mom.My Mom loves seafood and Tracey in your seafood department is always so pleasant and helpful getting me what Mom loves.I appreciate her helpful manner, her friendliness, her knowledge of her products, and her extra care to with a little extra sauce on the salmon that Mom loves.She's an exceptional caring woman, and makes our shopping in your store very pleasant.

I really love their fresh seafood selection. It was really good price and selection was really good. They had alot of good deals and sales. Selection is definitely great. Store was nice and clean. Their frozen food section is definitely impressive. Definitely the best place in Cumberland to grocery shop

The self checkout was broken and had an error and that's no problem. The problem is I was treated like a criminal after the fact of an error on the stores fault with the water not scanning properly then having some gelatinous gremlin standing over my shoulder a lane over just staring at me and me only every item I scanned and item everything I did once more only doing this to me with a store full of people ! The lady before me had trouble with the same check out lane but she was not treated like that. I had to move some more money over form my savings to checking and there She was just trying to assert her dominance or whatever she is paid Minimum wage to do as the grocery store police with stare down intimidation tactics. Its kinda funny now that I think about it but still Wrong, and Very rude and Uncomfortable. No Paying Honest costumer should ever have to deal with this EVER. . I probably spend $500 dollars a month or more there.They have a poor selection and ever worse customer service. I felt like I was shopping in Germany in the early 30s and 40s with the grocery store gestapo patrolling never again will I spend my hard earned money at Thier store and I will advise everyone I meet or know to do the same !

WAY TO EXPENSIVE!!! I know things have went up, but 🤯🤯🤯. By far the most expensive grocery store around which is a shame because we used to shop there faithfully and yes, we use our discount card and coupons when able,still only walking out with about 4 bags that doesn't feed a family of 7☹️

I shop around at several different markets to get the best deals. If you go to Martin's web site and scroll through the digital coupons you can score some deals. The store is always orderly. The produce, deli, meat & seafood displays are always picture perfect. The baked goods and bakery are great too. I don't mind the self-checkouts. I realize that these corporations need to save money to cover the cost of shoplifting, maintenance, etc. And I would imagine some of the jobs shifted from cashiers to the folks that fulfill the online orders.

Lowest score I can offer. We had their chicken this evening, 8 out of 12 pieces were dried out wings, awful just breading. Use to have great chicken. The last 2 times have been awful will not go back.

This is a really nice grocery store. We have ordered birthday cakes for the kids that turned out great. We have ordered fried chicken for get togethers and it's been amazingly good. They have a great meat and cheese selection in the deli. They have some great choices in the ready to go meals section.

Very clean. Courteous employees very helpful when I needed to find specific spices and other ingredients for a special dinner. I really enjoy how many different varieties a fruits and vegetables that they carry and they are always very fresh and I love that. Their prices are about average so you might as well get fresh at least as far as I'm concerned. I love this store I wish one was closer to me but whenever I'm in the area I make it a point to stop in.

The people that work there are very nice and helpful but when it comes to the direct in ordering stuff online, they never have half the stuff that I need and 9.5 out of 10. The stuff is not good or the quality of the food is bad, especially when it comes to the produce.
