Dr. Smith and Josh were very kind, caring, and compassionate during a last-minute end-of-life care situation for my dog. I would also like to express my appreciation to the front office/staff in getting us an appointment on a Sunday even though we were not an existing patient. I picked Jake up from the kennel one day last week. He started coughing that night and it got worse the next day. I called Bay Country for a same-day appointment and they were able to get him in. Dr. Bauer did a great job. He assured me that it looked like a mild case of a respiratory illness (but not Bordetella - Jake is vaccinated for that). He provided doxycycline and Jake has responded well to it. Of note, the staff was careful to put us in an exam room apart from other pets to protect them from infection. I've had a few occasions where we needed a same day appointment and Bay Country has always come through. Very happy with the care!

Our pup has been going here since he was a baby. They are kind and compassionate. Our doggie, Diesel was unfortunately diagnosed with osteosarcoma but Bay Country gave us hope. We were referred to a wonderful surgeon just down the road from Bay Country. We proceeded with the amputation of his right front leg. That was almost 5 months ago and Diesel is happy & healthy running around like crazy!! We love our boy and are forever grateful to all of staff at Bay Country.

We are new to Bay Country. Our senior cat was having trouble. Bay Country was able to fit her into a cancelled appointment and quickly resolved the issue. This likely kept something from becoming a much larger problem. They were kind, professional and overall wonderful.

I've been bringing my dogs to Bay Country Veterinary Hospital for about 15 years. Everyone there has been amazing!!! It's like the way doctors and nurses should be but aren't so many times. They really care about your furry baby and treat you and the pet with so respect and love! I will always use them. I have moved 45 minutes away but still drive back because it is so worth it to know that your pet will be in the best hands and hands that really care.

I just want to say thank you for making my pet & I feel safe, comfortable, & loved. Having an exotic pet can sometimes have some negative energy from certain people that don’t see their beauty & potential. Always sad to see them get judged. But the staff at Bay Country Vet Hospital were super amazing with my baby for his first vet visit, & he came out happy & not stressed out! Glad I chose you guys :)

*Update*We have had some very challenging issues recently with our older pet and Bay Country could not be more kind, caring and available for all of our questions and concerns - which have been a lot! They treat our "pup" like he was their own, and we are eternally grateful.We stumbled upon Bay Country a few years ago, when our dog needed some emergency treatment. Then and now, they have been the most caring group of vets and staff we have ever encountered. I think they love my dog as much as I do! Never pushy, always informative, kind and patient - I really could not ask for any more!

I love Bay Country Vets! I started going there with my pets recently after a recommendation from a colleague. Dr. Smith and all of the vet techs have been so wonderful to both my cat and puppy! The office staff are all so kind and welcoming as well. Dr. Bauer did my cat's dental and I was really happy with the whole process. I highly recommend Bay Country.

We've been going to Bay Country for our dogs and kitty since we moved to the area 6 years ago. All of the staff have been kind and attentive to our pets. I find their online portal really easy to navigate, and while they remain very busy, I'm able to book check ups easily. Emergency appointments are a bit harder but it seems that is the case for many vets in the area during COVID.

I called with concerns and wanted to get my dog seen and they totally blew me off. My dogs condition had to get worse and I had to call 3 more times during normal business hours before I could just get an appointment and i also left messeges. The receptionists just don't seem to care at all and do not have records straight. They said they hadn't seen my dog in two years when they had seen him twice this year per the invoices they sent me! This was my third and final strike with bay country.

I was taking my previous dog to Bay country, they were always very professional but very warm and friendly. When my dog passed it was in the middle of covid; when I called and said I was coming and I knew it wasn't good, they came to the car and carried him in and told me to come in as well. He passed away and they were all very compassionate and the Dr. was wonderful. It meant everything to me to be with him in his final minutes. I recommend them highly.I now have a puppy and I wouldn't trust anyone else with him.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Every staff member is so friendly and helpful and you can tell they truly care about your pets. They're always excited to see my pup, and she is always excited to be there! Even the small things like text & photo updates during a surgery stay, or following up after routine shots are so appreciated and just go to show how much they care. What peace of mind to have such trustworthy, kind doctors. Very highly recommend!
