I arrived to the nursery with a cranky and very tired toddler. Even the beautiful shrubbery and fresh air couldn’t tame him. One of the nursery workers (an angel in disguise) offered him a popsicle and a pet of Bao Bao the dog. She understood my pain. Lol. This worked for a brief moment, long enough to discuss the best flower option for my mailbox. He wasn’t happy when we left, but I was. They are the most beautiful pink Mandevillas. Will definitely return to buy more flowers without my shopping buddy. ;-)

I have been doing business with Mr. Dean and Teddy for about 8 years. I am blessed to have 8 acres on which I have planted over a dozen ornamental trees, bushes, flowers and shrubs, all from Mr. Dean and now, AvaBella's. Leyland cypress, Chinese Dogwoods, a Magnolia tree, Firebushes, maples, arbor vitae, mums, lamb's ears and perennials and annuals; I love them all! After one of my crepe myrtles took a nose dive, I told Mr. Dean about it. It wasn't a snap deal, and after we went back and forth on it, Mr. Dean split the difference with me and I got another crepe myrtle. He told me the tree wasn't probably dead, but I didn't listen. Sure enough, about six weeks later, my "dead myrtle" sprang back to life! (I brought back the money he gave me but he wouldn't take it, so I just bought another flower with it, HA!) I've never had a problem with Toby. He's polite, professional, VERY knowledgeable, and will not sell me anything without asking where and how I will plant it. All the plants I have purchased and I mean ALL of them adorn my yards and constantly bloom with lovely spring, summer and fall colors and flowers. I always look forward to seeing Mr. Dean, Teddy and his wife, and there's another lithe and friendly young man there too, but I don't know his name. Finally, it is amazing the progress this place has made in the short years since it has been in Conowingo, it looks great! Check them out. Tell them Cindi sent you!

My wife and I have been going to Dean's Garden center for several years now, and we usually make multiple trips each year. Typically twice in the spring and once in the fall. We really cannot find any negative remarks to say about this businesses unless I really make an effort to get nit picky. In that case the only issue is that we sometimes have to wait 10 minutes or so to be helped when they are at their busiest. And honestly the biggest issue with that is we end up picking up more flowers or shrubs to buy as the wait gives us (my wife to be more precise) more time to think!Dean's Garden Center has a wonderful selection of tropical plants beginning around mid April. Combine their large selections with reasonable prices and you begin to understand the danger is not the amount of money you spend, but in the greater amount of yard work waiting for you after you unintentionally purchase far more then you intended.The staff is also wonderful. The two gentleman who run Dean's Garden Center are very polite even when overwhelmed with customers. Both gentlemen are also very knowledgeable about the plants they are selling and will take their time answering any questions you have. So make sure to give Dean's Garden Center a visit if you are planning to do some gardening or perhaps you simply want a beautiful hanging basket or two? Just be prepared to to more gardening then you intend because I guarantee you will purchase more then you planned. Good kuck!

The owner is SO nice and you simply won't find a better selection of Pumpkins besides going to a legit pumpkin patch. Everyone who works there is willing to help and carry your haul to the car. We enjoy stopping in with our kids sometimes to walk around the flowers, plants, pumpkins and statues. And pricing is great too 💜
