My dog loves this place! He plays outside, he is content in his bed, he comes home happy and energetic. The staff is caring and friendly - rates are very fair and services include bath and shuttle. I had several failures bringing dog sitters into my home, and feel much more confident with their 24/7 attention-

I used to work here a little over ten years ago but visited again recently and it’s still the same happy place I remember!Quan is THE BEST when it comes to animals. He truly cares about each and every animal under his care. Your babies get good food if you choose Preston’s. If you bring your own, your pet WILL actually receive what you provide. The animals also get great outside time in private yards! I know they provide dog and cat boarding as well as dog training (which is how I informally learned to train my pets!) I loved working at Preston when I was in high school, and if I needed to board my dog and cat anywhere, it would be with Quan at Preston’s!

We’ve used Preston Country Club Kennel, Columbia, MD, for many years. I was generally okay with the service; our dogs did not seem stressed or dehydrated when I picked them up.Recently, I boarded my dog there for five days. I got a call after two days and was told that my dog was coughing. She was vaccinated against kennel cough. When I picked her up, she was coughing badly. They handed me a small bag of unknown antibiotics and vague instructions—no follow-up from them or from the attending vet. Long story short, she had pneumonia and was very sick. The hospital bill was hefty. I will not go back there; I have zero trust in them.

Great kennel and reasonably priced by dog weight. I’ve been bringing my Jack Russell here for years. I have seen a great improvement in customer service as seen in some older complaints. The 2 team members that work at the desk are always very friendly and helpful to me. They always know who my dog is without me telling them.The staff that care for the dogs seem to actually enjoy working with dogs and talk to them lovingly just like we pet owners do. They greet them and tell them they’ll moss them when they leave.My dog goes right to them when I drop off, which says it all. I can usually get him a bath on his last day at the in-house grooming salon. Very convenient.

WORST place to leave your pet. I left my cat there while on vacation and was assured she would be taken care of. When I saw her after pickup, the condition of her was beyond what i expected.Her entire cage was horrendously dirty and poor condition. The entire carrier AND her spelled like pee. She was clearly spending a majority of time in her cage to the point she was sitting and laying in her own pee. Any room the carrier was placed immediately filled with a strong stench. She additionally reeked of pee.Furthermore, she lost a ton of weight from when she was dropped off and hadn't been eating.We had asked prior if they could send us either pictures +/- videos for updates and they said no. This doesn't make sense because most places do this to give the owners comfort. Eventually, two pictures were sent and I could tell something was off.Overall - this was a horrendous experience and would not recommend.

Unfortunately I had to give a 1star .. so I picked my dogs up and ace my lab mixWas 45lbs according to them because they weighed him. I boarded them for 9 days and when I picked my dog up he looked like death.. bones was sticking out of every part of his body.. it’s like they starved my dog and said nothing to me . They are extremely lucky someone else picked up my dogs instead of me . I really feel like reporting them . Unbelievable. If I can find a way to post the video of my dog walking in their facility vs. walking out I would because I have both videos

Nice people but the conditions of cages stacked on top seemed wrong, especially when their time outside the cages is so short. The caging area was loud with dogs barking incessantly. My dog hated the noise. There is a small yard for time outside the cages but nowhere for dogs to run. You can pay extra for play time but if they have so many animals and so few employees that play time isn't already included, then that seems wrong, too.

Highly recommend! They are life savers. I forgot my dogs shots for their stay - several times- and they either coordinate for the vet to go there or a day like today . They coordinated a drop off at the vet and will pick them up later! All so I don’t have to stress. That’s GOLD in my book!

We’ve been using Preston Country Club Kennel for Pets, Columbia, MD for 7 years and we’re very pleased until this last visit. Our dog came home sick after boarding, ended up with pneumonia and in puppy ICU. It cost us over $12,500 to save our dogs life. The disappointing thing is Preston claims zero liability. Nor Preston or their insurance company will cover any of our dogs expenses. In my opinion, you need to think long and hard about entrusting your fur babies with Preston! I am certain we will not!

Wouldn’t recommend. I was looking for a boarding place for my puppy while my husband and I went on our honeymoon. Located Preston and called to confirm they could accommodate us. I explained that we have a pitbull and was scheduled time to come by for a visit and a temperament test due to her breed. Fine. Understandable.... Today I called to simply confirm my appointment and was told that my dog wouldn’t be welcomed without so much as seeing a picture of her. You can imagine our disappointment at the last minute change in attitude. First rep seemed nice and knowledgeable enough to know you can’t base a dog’s temperament on breed alone. Second guy didn’t even apologize.

Preston’s is an awesome place to board your pet! They treat our dogs as if they were their own. Staff are accommodating and friendly and take great care with all dogs and cats. Highly recommend 🐶

The facilities are clean, the staff was nice and professional. When I had to extend my pets stay due to travel issues, a simple phone call took care of things. If you retrieve your pet before 1pm, you don't get charged for another day. Our 🐕 took a day or so to recover from all the fun he had. Will use them again and recommended you to also.

We’ve been taking our dog here for years. She seems to really enjoy it, and gets SUPER excited to see the staff, who know her well!The grooming is top-notch as well, certainly not a “shave the dog and be done” experience. They match the dog’s natural style/growth.Also, very reasonably priced for both boarding and grooming.

7My dogs have stayed here during my vacations for over 6 years. They love it and we love the staff. Never have issues when booking. I originally switched from a different place because Preston separates the dogs during play. They don't allow them to play with other dogs. The outside play is separated by chain link fence. So no worries that my dogs could be bitten/bite another dog. The rates have increased slightly, but that doesn't matter as much as having peace of mind your fur kids are safe and in good hands.

I have been taking my dogs here for about 4 years. We have FOUR dogs and they are all somewhat difficult. We travel about 3 to 4 times per year. I LOVE this place, and wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else. The staff is professional and very friendly. They are dependable, stress free and reasonably priced. The grooming services are outstanding too. I highly recommend Preston.

Best grooming place we've been to so far. They actually gave my dog the cut I requested, did a great job with her nails, ears, etc. 5days later and her hair is still soft and silky. They we're a little more expensive than other places I've been, but completely worth it. We will be returning!

Friendly staff and was able to get my dog in at the last minute. My dog did develop diarrhea from the food given, but I was informed at pick up. She does have a little bit of a sensitive stomach. I like the flexible pick up and drop off hours.

Have been taking my 17 year old dog here since she was a puppy, and this is the only place where I feel better knowing she’s safe and well cared for. And she’s not as frightened being dropped of here then at petsmart or petco( the vet doesn’t board anything)The staff is friendly and remembers her by name when we walk in, and takes a few moments to socialize with her before we leave so she’s not as frightened. I know she gets plenty of time outside as well which makes me super happy. She also receives the best bath where she doesn’t smell like wet dog after she’s dried,and they do a great job on the cut. I wanted to thank the special and dedicated staff of Preston for all they do!

We have been taking our dogs to Preston for years for both grooming and boarding. I have never had a bad experience and highly recommend them. BTW the dogs love going there. They always receive a warm greeting.

Worth a bit of a ride up to Preston. We have been taking our dogs there for over 20 years. Some of those dogs have been, well, difficult, but the staff there know how to handle dogs. They are a special group (many have been there for the entire 20+ years) and we feel confident leaving our pets there.

We use Preston Country Club to board our dog everytime we go out of town and have had nothing but good experiences. My dog loves going here and we've never had any problems dropping him off because of how excited he gets. Highly recommended.

My comment is that I recently received a call on August 24 stating my canine contracted Kennel Cough and Preston would be calling a vet to check out my dog Dutchess and provide medication to treat it at no cost to me and any left over medication could be taken home. I was scheduled to come back in town on August 25th and told the representative this. When I arrive at Preston after 4pm on Friday, August 25th I was told my canine had not been seen by the vet yet which Preston had Thursday and all day Friday to have this done. This concerned me because my canine could have contracted this two days, three days after dropping her off and I receive a call on the eight day of her stay untreated. Although my canine was spunky her eyes appear to be red and it appeared that the representative did not want me to see my dog. for some reason. I was given the choice to keep her at the facility until Saturday to be seen by a doctor and I don't expect to be charged for another day. This was unacceptable to me. I don't believe Preston had any intention on having my canine checked out and was waiting for me to get her on her scheduled pick up day Saturday, August 26 to prevent paying out on a vet bill. I cant believe Preston wants me to pay the 320.00 for a nine day stay and give me a sick canine who was not sick when she was boarded. I need to be compensated and have something taken off of the 320.00 owed. This will be my canines last time at Preston. Your company is great with caring for the animals but poor at servicing them when they are in need for assistance with an illness that occurred at your facility. I expect to be provided with documentation of her diagnosis and medication she has been treated with. If this cannot be provided to me when I pick her up Saturday, August 26 I know my dog has gone untreated since she's been there at the facility. My first two boarding's were great because my dog didn't experience any sickness but this third time after seeing how my dog went untreated for two day maybe more she will definitely be going back to her vet for boarding.

I'll start by saying I haven't used this place for boarding but that's because I had poor customer service while booking and after thinking it over couple days decided to seek alternate arrangements. So, that's why I'm giving it 3 stars (middle rating). I booked by phone on a saturday afternoon and the gentleman was little abrupt and inpatient with questions. He asked I email Vax records and said they would mail me paperwork. I asked they email the paperwork with a reservation confirmation and he insisted they had to mail it and said I didn't need a reservation confirmation. I emailed the Vax records and after reading a review where someone reported they changed up what they told them on phone when they actually brought dog in...I summarized the details of my reservation in writing in the email I sent Vax record. I received a reply that stated I needed to call for reservation when the first sentence of my email explicitly stated I was writing to confirm the reservation I made by phone earlier that day and attaching the request Vax records. They then proceeded to tell me the Vax records didn't have the rabbies shot on there. Well, the Vax records had both the rabbies certificate numbers and the dates it was due next. I just got a bad vibe and the feeling this place is very disorganized and not up to date with using technology. Decided to book elsewhere out of fear of a very real possibility I'd show up to drop off two dogs and they'd say I didn't have a reservation or something else was wrong. I even offered to pay a deposit and they said full payment is due at discharge but I just don't trust them after the poor customer service and clear lack of attention to details.

We have taken our dogs to Preston for years. Our last dog, Blue, spent a lot of time there and loved going for these visitsThe staff was great to him and demonstrated that they knew and liked him. We recently had to sadly put Blue down and received a heartfelt sympathy card from the staffThat kindness made me cry and know that this is a business I will use in the future.

My family has been a client with PCCforP for over 15yrs and we think they are a fantastic boarding/grooming facility!Our dog (Diesel) is greeted by his name when dropped off and he receives a friendly/energetic welcome by the staff. We always have him groomed before he comes home (one of the many avail. services that we love!!) And grooming does a wonderful job getting him cleaned up for us (and I know he is not a good boy for the bath).When our old dog passed away several years ago, I was surprised (and very impressed) to receive a condolence card signed by the staff!The last time Diesel went in for grooming, I had a family emergency and couldn't pick him up before they closed. The receptionist saved the day when she told me they also offer a pick-up / drop-off delivery service and could take care of getting Diesel home for me. The additional fee for this service was totally worth the relief of having one less crisis to deal with that day!
