I just picked my dog up from Petsmart for a bath and brush, nail cutting. Christopher did a super awesome job...the best ever. My dog has never been brushed this well that not one hair came out when I pet and smoothed her hair with some leave in conditioner. She was so soft and fluffy. Her nails were cut so even and professionally. Thank you Christopher and I hope you stay there grooming for awhile. You are the best!!

I took my dog to the Pet hotel Friday morning 4/5/24 for a 3 night stay. I reserved a private suite for her which was to include calming mist and music. We packed her bed, blanket and favorite toys along with her food and dinner mix ins. I packed enough servings in case we didn't make it back by dinner time on her 4th day.When we picked her up we were told she would have been served dinner. That was not true, her mix in pack was still in the bag. She had enough food leftover for 2 full days. We did not receive any information indicating she wasn't eating during her stay. No phone call or paperwork. They couldn't find her bed and proceeded to tell us it was left in the kitchen from time of drop off. So my dog didn't have anything that smelled of her humans or home that would soothe her while we were gone. Upon them bringing her to us, she certainly did not smell as if she had a calming mist in her suite. She smelled like she was in an outdoor kennel. I have spent a fortune at this location and the lack of follow through from drop off to pick up is unacceptable. Does this staff even like dogs? They seem disengaged with the whole process. I can order what I need to from the direct brand websites and will now be looking for the right place to keep her when we need to go out of town. It was not worth it.

5 stars to Lauren. I came in several times in one day. Lauren took time to help me and answer questions, even though being very busy. Lauren got a cart and helped load my purchase. I was a small business owner for 20 years, and a manager at a big box store. Petsmart, you have a great one (Lauren).

Always a pleasure to shop here. I have bearded dragons, a guinea pig & 2 dogs & the people who work here definitely know what they're doing. I enjoy chatting with the gentleman who has helped me with information with my beardies & the vet tech I spoke with about my little piggie. They're always stocked with crickets & everything else I need. I love that I can stop by after work.

On Thursday 03.21.24, two of my dogs received DAPP and Laptospirosis vaccines at PetSmart Columbia. One of my dogs had the side effects of vomiting and diarrhea for 1 week. Normally, if the side effects do not go away within 24 hours, they should be treated by a doctor. Today, Friday 03.29.24, I called PetSmart Banfield hospital and told them that the situation was urgent and that my dog was losing weight and the side effects were severe. They told me that they could not give me an appointment and that I had to go to an emergency animal hospital. If I am getting a service for money and my dog is getting very bad in response to this service, how can you tell me to go somewhere else instead of intervening? Does a veterinarian only mean giving vaccinations? What a pity! I will never go again. Do not go if you love your pets!!! By the way, when they did not give me an appointment, I went elsewhere and all necessary interventions were made. After 3 hours Banfield hospital called me and wanted to offer me an appointment. How can a person evaluate appointment offers in case of emergency? It's the worst place I've ever seen in my life!!! I won't even pass by it again. Just a money trap and an unreliable place that does not stand behind what they do!

The staff are always so friendly and helpful. Their grooming place is especially wonderful, they always do a great job and give cute finishing touches like a bandana. The store has a good selection of things for all types of pets. Sadly, nothing for unicorns or dragons, but otherwise this place has everything you would need.

My dog was happy, healthy and clean when we picked him up from his first stay at the hotel. I really wish there was an add on service to receive some sort of update/photo during the stay. They do allow phone calls to check on your pet, some staff were friendly and helpful, others not as much, but taking good care of my baby is #1 -thank you!

I am routinely here because of my kids, they frequently run out of the treats I give them and they take a while to restock...I prefer the store in Ellicott City or Columbia much better

This store is great; it has everything you could want for almost any pet. Met this lady that is fostering a puppy that has a leg/foot that was deformed at birth. They are looking for someone to adopt him and give him a permanent home by Thanksgiving or Christmas. I think my friend is going to adopt this cutie.

Super solid spot to shop!For whatever reason the nightcrawlers here a stupid girthy! I know I can get my own, but being winter this is well worth it and likewise can't find champions like this by the creekbed. Likewise!Whoever their Siamese fish connection is has them well supplied with bettas for days.Their employees are super knowledgeable and it's a pleasure shopping here!! Thank you

A great big Thank you to Jules....at the Columbia Petsmart.We've taken our Shorkie "Smokie" to get groomed a few times but this time was different. His cut was pure perfection...when we got there to pick him up, he was so soft and cuddly. His face and eyes are perfect....He such a cute little guy already, but Jules perfected his features in his face and made him even more cuter....We're VERY happy with the way she trimmed his paws to keep the mitten look.....way to go Jules.... We will choose YOU every time we book Smokie for grooming...You just earned a Lifetime customer....Thanks for being a fantastic groomer.The Braxtons

Petsmart in Columbia has a great staff at their Pet Hotel. They offered to assist me since I have a health issue and my pooch is a healthy 93 lbs and very solid! She is 3yrs old and still frisky like a puppy. The extra assistance was greatly appreciated!

I took my dog here day before yesterday and to start my dog still smells like a wet dog. No type of smelling like a bath wash given and fresh. We have a mini golden doodle and I provided the last photo of him to be cut like that. He’s uneven all over, his feet area is not even clipped and looks nice and trimmed. This is by far the worst I’ve seen him. Def not worth the $96 spent! The girls in the grooming center also acted like there was nothing that could be done and like everyone was busy. Will not be returning!

Due to the flooding in NY, our dog sitter’s basement flooded and we were left without a sitter. The event we were going to was in the DMV and Pets Smart hotel was our only option. Usually for daycare/boarding, facilities require a full day for temperament check, which is totally understandable.Our dog was nervous, but I expected that. He usually stays with a rover sitter in the comfort of their home or does a day of daycare then comes home with us.We paid the $10 extra a night so he could have a suite to reduce his anxiety.Front desk staff was nice. All the staff was nice - no issues there.The reason why the low rating is because my dog came back home constipated. He drank so much water when we went to get him. He did not have any play time with other dogs because of his breed. At a sitter’s house with other dogs, sometimes he’ll come back home thirsty but it’s because he was out running around and playing.I don’t think there is any reason for him to be this thirsty coming back from a dog hotel that does 2 short potty walks and 15 min individualized play.His poop when he came back home literally crumbled and he had a hard time getting all his poop out.I’m sure that they withhold water so there aren’t too many accidents…PetsSmart is ok.. for a weekend stay if you’re really in a rut. Don’t do it for anything longer than 1 or 2 days if you love your dog.Also, if you have a rescue dog, please don’t bring them here. It looks and feels very much like a pound.

Dr. London and Dr. Sherpin are genious. Dr. London gave my cat a supplement and cured her GI constant issues. Dr. Sherpin told me to get her a low wall and easy entry litter box for her arthritis and to give her easy access to the litter.

I am so disturbed by my experience today. I took my two dogs (beagle and Italian mastiff) to the hotel to stay for a few days. My 6 year old beagle has been going here since she was a pup. This is my mastiff's first time coming since being neutered (2 years). He was fine with the wonderful check-in lady and going back to his suite, of which they had to change multiple times because a few weren't clean. They called me two hrs later to tell me I had to come pick him up because he was too nervous and showed his teeth. I asked if he was fed breakfast, and the manager said that wouldn't matter and no one wants to go near him. When I picked him up, he didn't look nervous, and he was in a playroom with no water or food and poop on his nose. They lied and said he was fed but returned his bag unopened. I would be annoyed, too, if I was fed or given water. They refused to try to get him to warm up to them and just wanted him gone. The worst experience EVER! When we got him home, we fed him, and he went right to sleep. I will NEVER return.

Our two Australian Shepherds were treated very well here. This was our third time using this PetSmart Hotel for boarding of a week or more, and our dogs are always happy and healthy when we pick them up. Many thanks to the staff who are more than happy to let us know how our dogs are doing if we can't help but check up on them every couple of days or so.

Disgusting the entire store. The attitudes match, everyone was very unfriendly. I saw a couple pup getting picked up, all shaved bald! My dog have beautiful hair easy yo brush and comb, gave her a good brush before bring her to this appointment that was horribly managed aggressive dogs all scared from probably being mistreated, talk to one dog mom who said the staff complained about her do so they had to shave her, they were disappointed since she’s never acted out before. Bottom line they want to shave your baby bald for quick easy appointments they are already behind on!!! Smell the worst too, they dont clean at all you can tell!

I recently visited the PetSmart Columbia store and felt compelled to share my experience regarding the grooming manager, Brandon. During my visit, I observed Brandon making snide comments to his employees, which created an uncomfortable work environment. What was even more concerning was his inappropriate behavior of leering at employees when they were not looking or when they bent over.Upon inquiring, I confirmed his name with a store associate who identified him as Brandon. I believe it is crucial for this issue to reach the attention of both the store management and PetSmart corporate. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also completely unacceptable. It is my hope that this matter will be addressed promptly to ensure a respectful and positive workplace environment for all employees.
