This marina rocks. I have 3 marinas within 20 minutes of my home. Colton's Point Marina is over an hour away but it well worth my drive. The staff is super friendly and their mechanics are top-notch. I have an older boat (1989) but they have always helped me find away to keep me in the water so I can do my thing. I wouldn't move to another marina if you paid me too because this place is family oriented and I always have peace of mind when they do have to perform maintenance. I say give them a try. You will be glad you did!!!!!

This is the best marina St.Marys county has to offer, you will not find anything better. Covered and open boat slip, boat lifts, jetski floating docks, pump out, fuel, refreshments and clean bathrooms. Coltons Point is a full service marina not just boat storage.Go ahead, look around waste your time with rest of the dilapidated, falling down, slum marinas in St.Marys then come see these folks and sign a contract to keep your boat here.

I had been a slip owner at this marina since 2005 Mark & Adam bought the place and have done a nice job getting the place organized and have continued to make improvements over the years. Chris, Tiny, and all the other employees are polite and pleasant. I recently relocated and was sad to leave. I’ll be going back here once I’m back in MD in a couple years. If your looking for a great marina on the Potomac look no other than Colton’s Point Marina. Thanks guys for always taking care of my family and I. See ya soon

Mark and Adam and their crew are courteous, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient all that they undertake. They have the only certified Yamaha tech within miles and do quality on hulls, engines, canvas - you name it. While they may not be the least expensive, well, you get what you pay for.Without question, the best marine operation in St Mary's County.

This is THE most beautiful and best staffed marina in Southern MD. The people are absolutely dedicated to making customers happy and work very hard every day to see things done right and in a timely way. I can't say enough good things about how much they have done for the place too. The staff is constantly busy because they are good and charge REASONABLE rates for everything, even tech work. The facility is older but very well maintained and has a charm about it like no other marina in the region. It's set back into it's own little cove and it's just a gorgeous place to be, even if you don't have a boat there. I would recommend this place to any boat owner though because the service here is great.

I live in NY and purchased a boat near Colton's Point Marina. When I called them at the last minute to schedule a pre-purchase engine inspection they found a way to accommodate my tight schedule. After I completed the sale they were able to help me with a few minor repairs and got the boat ready for transport. The entire staff could not have been more professional or sincerely nicer to me. I highly recommend the marina to anyone looking for great service by good people.

Nice marina. Affordable, our sailboat slip was $100 per month billed quarterly. Staff on site can handle all repairs. The channel can be difficult to navigate with a sailboat (only possible at mid-high tide) but this is not the marina's issue.

I've kept my boat at Colton's Point marina for the past 7 years and it's gotten better and better each year. All of the repairs and installations on my boat were done right the first time without any follow up required. This has included replacing the motors lower unit, cylinder head, hydraulic pump, coil, and various pumps, and installing electronics and a windless unit. Marina security and safety have also been great with never any issues. I've also appreciated the marina looking after my boat during major storms and the cleanliness of the facilities, and fair pricing of what the offer for the customer. I highly recommend the marina to anyone looking for a friendly setting and location in Southern Maryland.v/rDale Jackson

For the past 14 years, I have been bringing the Potomac Belle (59') here for the Winter. It is the best value on the water and I have great confidence that the Belle will be blocked with care and precision. The entire staff couldn't be nicer or more professional. Each Spring I enjoy the drive down from my marina in Alexandria knowing that the advice and service that I receive is spot on. I highly recommend Coltons Point to everyone looking for a professional friendly environment.

New boat to me. Asked Colton's to do some hull work, fix tilt/trim and inspect prior to the start of the boating season. Colton's didn't communicate with me, didn't communicate amongst themselves. Wasn't until July that an actual inspection was performed and only then discovered work that would then take another month and a half to fix. Prior to this, was twice offered to take the boat for a weekend, being assured that all of the work except a specific non-critical task was done. Was finally able to take the boat the second time and not only was work that prevented me using the boat not done, but upon my own inspection discovered that the seawater intake hose was disconnected and the impeller was severely deteriorated. If I had tried to use the boat I could have destroyed the engine. Additionally, found my brand new winter cover balled up under the bow cover with a nice six inch tear. With only a couple of exceptions, Colton's would not call me with status, oftentimes even when they said they would. it was up to me to call them, usually to find out only then that something was delayed, broken, needed to be ordered, or a decision had to be made. Was twice told that work would begin "within the next two weeks". Both times I called three to four weeks later only to find out that work had not started. Several times my calls were answered with "Hey, was just getting ready to...", leaving me with the feeling that if I hadn't called nothing would have gotten done.Finally got my boat back, five and a half months after dropping it off. They even demonstrated the tilt/trim and the engine running. Kicker is, I put it in the water the next day, turned the key, and nothing. I took it back and they determined that the starter relay had failed and replaced it. I put it back in the water and it started up a few times then the relay failed again. Maybe it is asking too much, but if there was a failed relay then I think at least some investigation as to why the relay might have failed would be in order. Also, when a friend who is familiar with boats looked at it he questioned the relay used and recommended that, due to the age of the boat, he would have expected a higher amperage relay.Maybe I was an exception, maybe they were too busy for a small, unimportant boat like mine, but if Colton's had started the work on my boat sooner I could have been dealing with these other issues with some season still left.

returned my boat to me with heavy footprints of oil and grease all over my new carpet, they unsucessfully attempted to clean them and Mark has said they will not replace them, i had no problems with my generator, i ran it all the way there in transport however when i picked my boat up it wasn't working, i discovered they had broken the oil pressure switch, charged me for a new door however my door is leaking heavily. Promises to fix it last August but it is now June 2020, and im still waiting. I was satisfied with their body work and rail repair.I am a black man and id be lying if I didnt feel like i was being treated unfairly. It took them a long time to begin the work so when I inquired I was told "we want to be sure you can pay for the work done, WOW!They were paid in excess of 20,000 and I've yet to be made whole

After 20+ years using this marina for various services, I am really disappointed when I call asking a simple friendly question as to where they order their pylons for the piers, and I get a real cruddy response to the tune of…“ I don’t know, this isn’t a construction business, this is a marina. “Well, I guess there’s some truth to that. Here’s another bit of truth. They aren’t the only marina in town either.
