Just go here if you're anywhere in the area in need of a plant or two. This is a really great store. I love that I live close by, though I may go broke this summer as a result. There's a huge selection of all things plants. The staff is really nice and the place is so beautiful, clean, and organized. Most importantly, the plants are all beautiful and healthy. I've bought a few houseplants here and they've always been perfect.

Wow... we drove from PA to Valley View Farms and was worth the hour long trip. They have everything Christmas. The quality of items are top notch and they are so beautifully displayed. The staff was excellent. They open the doors for you when arriving and leaving. Their selection of live wreaths and roping is always incredible. We bought 4 beautifully decorated sprays for on family grave. Valley View Farms is a must for Christmas.

Despite the rain, we had a good time walking around looking for a pumpkin and mums. Our daughter enjoyed the small straw maze. I enjoyed the Christmas bobbles!

Outstanding as a garden center...a vast array of plants of all types, very well laid out, and with enormous supplies of mulch, fertilizer etc. Also has a garden pond facility with all the materials you could possibly need for all sizes of garden. Indoor facility offers a range of decorative 'things' for the home. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.Large car park...worthy of a visit just to check it out...you will be back!

My girlfriend and I love Valley View Farms. We visit every month or two during the spring, summer, and fall...and of course, Christmas! While their prices are bit higher than the big box stores in the area, their plants are always healthy. Their tulip selection was awesome this past fall; we bought way more than we should have! We also love their pond store and bird feed/feeders. Their Christmas decorations were amazing this year too. Customer service has always been pleasant and helpful.

Great variety of plants, trees, garden amenities and more. Pricing is on the higher end compared with Home Depot garden centers which have comparable inventory. Nonetheless, a nice place to show for all your garden needs.

Great selection of plants aquatics and hardwoods. We come often for aquatic plants and supplies we cannot find elsewhere. Prices are a bit high but sales people are very knowledgable. Could use more parking and accessibility as others have stated.We always know when Christmas is around the corner with the best display in the area at Valley View Farms. 2021 is no different! J

Nice local owned store and ive bought many items here despite being pricey compared to other plant nurseries. Reason for the three stars are the bugs found on several plants and i actually left without buying even tho I really wanted that lady palm it now cost $99 (used to be $70) and was sitting too close to this cast iron plant covered in bugs. Buyer beware of higher prices and lower quality.

My favorite go to garden center. Valley View Farms has a knowledgeable and helpful staff. The garden center carries everything you could possibly imagine to create a beautifully landscaped yard.They carry a wide variety of pond supplies, aquatic plants and fish.There Christmas Shop is beautiful with everything you could imagine for decorating your tree.4/2/2022 - Still the highest quality plants around. You get what you pay for so pay for the best. Valley View Farms never fails to amaze with their beautiful plant selection. The outdoor living area is awesome they have a large selection of patio sets and outdoor decor.They carry all of your hardscaping needs and pond needs too.

I wish I still lived close to Valley View. I loved going there every year and buying a few birds to add to my Christmas tree Collection at the time. It's been a tradition every December since I was a kid to come to Valley View Farms to pick a new ornament for the tree. Now, I get to continue the tradition with my children. We love the beautiful trees, the lights, the train garden! Such a large selection of ornaments. The staff is very polite and helpful.

This place really has everything outdoors, especially for spring! From a big variety of trees, bushes, plants and flowers, there is much to choose from. The also have a ton of outdoor furniture and decor for all tastes. They also have a building next to their koi pond. It's full of outdoor statues, birdbaths, outside decorations for all kinds of settings.

This is a magical place that the family enjoys. Had a blast picking out Christmas ortiments. It was our first time here and we will recommend it to everyone. You have a wide range of prices depending on the quality of the ortiment you pick. Overall, it is a must do for the family.

I will keep shopping here thanks to Rachel for her customer service in garden/perennials. During several trips this spring I bought all my vegetables plants, shrubs, perennials and a tree. One of the clematis I bought still in pot had to be returned a couple days later because there was a brake at the bottom stem on half the plant, pictured on the left. The young stocky blonde girl at the cash register kept questioning me about my care, so I asked for a manager instead! I had it for a couple days, still in pot, so no I didn’t do anything to it! If you ever have an issue it’s best to speak to Rachel first.

It takes one encounter to make or break your experience. Today, at Valley View we’ve encountered several employees that were down right rude. In the Christmas Shoppe, I asked for assistance with an item and she acted like we were severely inconveniencing her with our simple question. Then again, I didn’t want to bring my drink in and asked for the location of the trash receptacle and the door employee had no clue, but said I couldn’t bring my empty cup in. Duh, I wasn’t trying to. Also, the markup on the merch is unrealistic for the “Made in China” toxic junk. Just saying!

We've been here plenty of times over the past decade. The plants seemed overpriced and they had a staff of about 8 for what was a very slow evening. A person I presume to be an owner seemed overly interested in our behavior looking at houseplants to the point of being stalkerish. Needless to say we found much heartier plants at much lower prices in Lowes without the hassle of his curiosity.

My review is specifically about the "seasoned firewood" they sell in wagons and bundles. The price is pretty fair for the wagon-load, but "seasoned" wood, it is not. This is the second time that I've been disappointed in their wood - the first, I got a batch with a lot of rotten, insect-damaged pieces last winter. They load it for you (which is deeply appreciated), so I didn't notice until I was unloading at home. When I used it in my fireplace, it burned poorly, either due to the rot or because it wasn't well-seasoned, possibly both. I took photos, called and spoke to someone who was very apologetic and said that I could come back with the pictures for a refund or new load. When I showed up, the manager made a big deal about me needing to "return" the 15 or so pieces that remained and that photos very clearly showing the poor condition weren't sufficient despite what the employee said. I left frustrated and vowing never to come back.Flash forward to this past weekend - I should have known better but I wanted to make sure I had enough firewood for the dreary weather forecasted. I was out running errands nearby and didn't feel like going out to the country to my usual spot, so back I went. This time, I very carefully selected the wagon-load. It was a little dirty, and a few pieces had insect damage, but generally solid. Except it isn't seasoned. It takes an inordinately large amount of fatwood, newspaper and hot ash bed to get and keep it going. You can hear the sizzling, squeaking and popping stereotypical of "green" wood, and many pieces have a sap-like substance coming out as they heat up. What's the saying about "fool me twice..."?Valley View Farms has a lot of really great plants, gardening products, and I love their holiday displays and decorations, but I will never again buy their firewood! I'm only giving them a 3/5 because of the aforementioned; the firewood is 0/5 (and honestly, the manager from last year's customer service was about the same).

I have been going to Valley view for at least 30 years. My grandmother would take me every year to pick out new tree ornaments. She has long since past and I still keep the tradition of going every year with her spirit by my side. This place holds a deep and special place in my heart. I love this place so very much!!! I have never missed a year to visit in over 30 years!!

I love Valley View Farms but today I purchased a boulder and my truck was damaged in the process of the associates loading it into the trunk. There has to be a better system in place when loading these boulders into customers vehicles. Now I’m stuck with the damage for a $70 boulder.

Quite happy with two sunset maples purchased at Valley View and the on-time and well done planting job. The team was well prepared and kept things neat. Thanks so much. Looking forward to the shade (in 10 years or so; but they're a great size).

This is one of the best nurseries in Maryland. They have a wide selection of trees, shrubs, perennials, herbs and annuals. Great pond equipment and materials. A smaller selection of hardscaping materials like rocks and boulders. Koi pond fishes and water plants and lillies.. incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
