Despite feeling unsafe in the parking lot, the inside of the grocery store is nice! They do a good job at keeping items in stock, and the store is clean. Definitely need more self check out, or limit people to how many items can be done through self check out, but its a nice store.

Friendly folks , seriously friendly staff. Always helpful and kind. Store is layed out nicely. Prices ? Exceptional prices. Look for meat on sale . You can save some serious bread. Speaking of bread , the bakery department is wonderful. We recommend the apple fritters. Apples ? Yeah the produce section isn't huge but it is fresh and high quality. They offer Western Union as well. Sign up for the Food Lion card and save even more.

Prices are reasonable and overall product selection is good. I prefer to go there over giant plus it's the closest store to where I live. The only thing is that they close at 11 versus giant which I believe closes at midnight

I don't normally shop at Food Lion. I actually just ran in because I was right by it and I only needed a couple of things. From what I saw it was a nice store. Prices were competitive. I have to say the cash register girl was so helpful and extremely nice. It was great to be checked out by someone who was happy to be doing a great job

Most of the employees are good, some are great, and one or two are bad.The store has one dysfunctional manager who only works at Customer Service or hides in the office. Her staff is working harder to compensate, and I feel bad for anyone unfortunate enough to work next to her. She will be talking "at them" and making it difficult for the cashier to hear the customer. If a cashier needs help, chances are one of the other veteran employees has taken care of it, and this is a good thing because when she is needed, it takes longer than it should. I have never had a conversation with her despite her being called to a register that I was checking out at on multiple occasions. I watch her walk up to a cash register, not acknowledge anyone, and then swipe her card and leave. The only things I see are swiping her card, distracting employees, or saying things negatively about a cashier trying to be helpful. I have regularly visited this store for years, and I have never seen her positively impact a customer's day. Still, I have seen her negatively impact a customer experience numerous times.She is everything I think of when someone says, Toxic Manager.Let's move on to the rest of the store and staff, who are fantastic! First up is Joe. He learns regulars names, remembers conversations with them, is knowledgeable about the store, and is the opposite of the aforementioned manager. For example, if lines are backed up, he opens a new register or starts helping to bag groceries at an existing one. I have seen him working in other departments, and he is always greeting folks with a smile and an eagerness to help.If you find yourself shopping at this store, you may notice that their staff are always working hard to keep things stocked. Even during peak times, I frequently will find staff availing themself to customers and helping them locate items. This goes beyond the typical "check aisle X," where these employees are often helping you find it and even going in the back to check to see if they have more somewhere in the back.Recently, I was looking for horseradish, and the last jar was hidden. A man and a woman were having a friendly conversation while stocking, and I wasn't there for more than 20 seconds before she asked if she could help me find anything. She knew which spot it should be in, quickly found the last hidden bottle for me, and we had a super lovely conversation for another 2 minutes while I collected a couple more items from that area. Since then, I have noticed a bottle of horseradish pulled to the front of the row to be more easily seen, and I assume this is because she remembered that conversation and has augmented how they stock that product to make it more accessible to customers.This is some of the best customer engagement I have seen in a grocery store in a very long time, and you might ask why I gave this store a four instead of a five. In truth, one manager brings this store down to a two or a 3, and everyone else brings it back up to a 4.

I had a bad experience in this store today. I had a $5.00 off $20.00 digital coupon loaded onto my shopper card. My total was over $29 but after my card was scanned the 5 still didn't come off the bill. A woman named FANTASIA was called over to the register to resolve the matter after the woman at the register refused to deal with it. FANTASIA was extremely rude and verbally ABUSIVE and refused to deduct the five dollars. I show her the app on my phone so she could plainly see that the digital coupon had been loaded onto my card. She didn't care about that whatsoever and told me that if I didn't like it I can leave! I immediately contacted Shawn, the store manager who basically took the middle ground on the matter and certainly didn't sound as if his opinion of the situation was that something very innapropriate had taken place. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THIS STORE AGAIN. If you shop here don't have any customer service related issues because if you do you may be told to get out!!!

Food Lion is my quick grocery store. When I just have to grab a few things after work. I can always park really close upfront get in and get out. Also able to buy my lottery tickets here. The store is always clean nice and neat and fully stocked.

I have been shopping at this store regularly for the past 11 years. During the last year they made a lot of changes and redid the store. The aisles are wider and they carry an even wider variety of items especially in food specific to certain countries. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the store is clean and well-run. Additionally the prices are competitive and if you download the app the savings are wonderful both with coupons and are there savings programs they have. Check it out you will not be sorry.

Such friendly checkout! The cashier really made all the difference. I felt like I was visiting a five star hotel, when all I did was to buy a few standard grocery items. Surprisingly, they didn't have Nespresso pods! Oh well, can't win them all!

I ordered a birthday cake for my best friend birthday for today. I asked for it to decorated with Big red and purple roses and trimmed. It was a total disappointment. I have ordered previously in the past. I should have gone to Wegmans or Giant. It was too late to get another cake. Very disappointed and diss☹️atified.😕

If the store looked like the men's bathroom it would be shutdown. Really disappointed with how they dropped the ball. Also the foot pad to open the door is separated from the door and is useless. Please put some TLC into the store restroom with the scare of COVID still being real thank you. Great sale going on this week.

The seemed clean and since the remodel, much more modern and better organized. The prices made me recall why I don't normally shop here though. The store was well stocked. My only real complaint is the pricing, otherwise, good stuff.I would shop here again, but only for really good deals.

Food Lion is my go to grocery store. It's always a fast trip, clean and well organized. I can find whatever I need there, they restock often, and they have a really nice selection of products.

I shop here all the time because of the prices, but somebody from corporate needs to come in and teach the employees that masks go over your nose.It's hard to feel safe when the people roaming the store - both customers and staff - are breathing all over everyone. I was in here on Saturday, 10/11 and even saw the ASSISTANT MANAGER not following proper mask procedures.Clean it up, Food Lion.

The only reason I'm giving Food Lion in Cockeysville such a low rating is because I went into the store on Sunday March 1, 2020 to purchase the steaks that were on sale. To my surprise and disgust, some of the steaks had brown spots on them and when I brought it to the attention of the person working in the meat section, they told me that the steaks were okay and that's how they came in. I told her they were not okay and if they came in with brown spots on them, they should be returned and not sold to custnomers. She stated that they would mark the price down and sell the bad meat anyway. In order to stop this total disregard and disrespect of the customers that this country insist on victimizing, we must not buy or patronize stores that do not take our Health and Welfare serious. Otherwise the majority of the employees who work here do care and have been extremely accommodating and helpful. Hopefully customer service will take care of this one issue.

Nice store. Been shopping there for my elderly mother for 2 years. Only complaint is the rude man in the deli. He doesn't have a bit of good customer service in him. He acts like it is a real bother for him to wait on you. Not pleasant at all. If you ask him a question he gets irritated. If he has to ask you a question he talks to you like your a idiot. He needs to be put in the back so customers don't have to deal with him.

While I generally speaking do like this Food Lion and the majority of the employees are very nice and helpful there is a short, rotund blonde woman (seemed like a manager??? HOW or WHY anyone would promote her is BEYOND me) who is extremely rude and unhelpful. She literally ruined my experience at the store today. What a horrible, awful, and insufferable human. Everyone else was very nice.

Great experience! The dairy manager even went I. The back to make sure they had what I was there for and brought out 2 half gallons for me at 7pm at night when they were fairly busy. I sincerely appreciate this considering Food Lions are the only place that sell 8th continent Sou Milk and it's the only type my kiddos will drink. They have loves it since they were babies and everywhere sold it and now I travel to get it! Thank you for your wonderful service!

Great price on Campari tomatoes and best prices on 2lb bags of froze n shrimp all easy peel. Sorry to say the shelf was empty of my Food Lion Brand diet ginger ale. Hope it's just a shortage
