ACE is one of my favorite stores and the customer service in Cockeysville is absolutely horrible. The attitudes of the employees all over the store are unwelcoming and unacceptable. This experience was not a one time thing. I have a gift card to spend but am dreading going into the store and it will likely be my last visit. Sad because I have always enjoyed and supported local ACE stores.

I love this store.it has everything from tools to paint, bird food, and anything you need around the house to fix things.the always have coupons and sales.

No thank you, very unfriendly staff. I usually always use the Ellicott City Clarks ACE. Maybe I am spoiled by how friendly, helpful, and accommodating they are at that location. Was in this area for some other stops I needed and figured I would run in to grab a few things. Ended up leaving emptyhanded between the experience and the crazy markups on the SAME items other stores sell for 30-40% less. And yes the SAME item, scan the barcode with the other stores app. Ill stick to the ACE in Ellicott City.I will give it this; the store was neat and well laid out.

I specifically went there to get my propane tank refilled, and I like the fact that I could get my own tank refilled as opposed to Exchanging. Good quick service and they charge you per pound of propane, so if you're only fillingg up half a tank you only get charged for half

I decided to paint my kitchen ( I am a beginner & had no idea what I was doing). A friend recommended Ace in Cockeysville My review is about an employee, Marlene, who really stood out. She patiently answered my questions, was sensitive to my budget, and recommended the supplies I would need. Ten days later, I returned with questions and a need for additional supplies. It was just about 12:00 and the commercial paint side was about to close. Marlene stayed longer to assist me and answer my questions. Thank you, Marlene, for exemplifying good customer service!

My new favorite hardware store. They are very well organized, well stocked, and have very helpful staff. I love the hardware selection for my projects. So many of their items are hard to find in big box stores, so I stop here first now.

I will never go to this store again. I have given it several tries and each time I leave so stressed and upset at the rude customer service and poor business practices. Two times, I went because there was an item that showed it was available online only to be told that the item couldn't be found and to order it online. Every time I go the person working at the cash register seems irritated at having to help me. My son had a similar experience when he went to purchase a Yeti cooler. It was listed online that it was in stock at the store. He went there only to be told by the employee that he couldn't sell it to him because it hadn't been "checked in" even though it was in the back. My son left and purchased it elsewhere. I certainly wish the owner would train the staff on customer service. Simple politeness would be the minimum. Effort to help customers would be a bonus.

I was working on a project and needed a bit of help. I brought the storm door grill in to find appropriate screws. A screen door needed protection from a big dog. Thomas dropped everything to help. Within minutes he’d found what I needed. He even found a better option for the screws and found me in the store to swap out. He was friendly and pleasant. I told him he got five stars from me. And here they are. Thank you!

Walked into store on quick scouting mission. Found outdoor furniture on display that we liked, and bought.Personnel in store friendly, store clean, new space loaded with outdoor grills.Needs to improve time for delivery of products as well take over a week for assembly and delivery of outdoor furniture. Upon inquiry about why learned that they are not competitive in wages for retirees who have enough experience and capable of providing the gap in personnel.Love supporting local businesses, disappointed they're not able to support huge source of employees part time who do not need benefits..

Worst customer service of any hardware store in the area. Not worth goin here. Staff is rude and not helpful at all. Tried to enter the establishment at 4:10 and the stopped me and said “we are closing up boss”. I told them their hours said they were open until 5pm, but they didn’t care as they said they were doing inventory. I said I only know what I wanted and would be in and out, but they still wouldn’t let me in. Best part is they still had people shopping in the store. Worst Ace I’ve been to in the state of Maryland easy. By the way I own a large retail store right around the corner and they still didn’t care even though I was a neighbor. Wow.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the attentive, friendly, and professional service. I just purchased a Weber Grill that needed to be hooked up to a large propane tank, not the typical 20 gallon tank. The delivery of the new grill and removal of my old grill from my deck needed to be coordinated with my plumber. All parties arrived within 5 minutes of each other. The men from Ace were in and out in 15 minutes. My plumber worked here for an additional 15 minutes hooking up the new grill.I want to do a special shout out for Ray, at Suburban. THANK YOU! They now have a hardware customer for life.

I went into the suburban ace to get a new key programmed for my car as the FOB on my original snapped (I had to use channel locks to start my car everyday). I showed up about an hour before closing and there was no one on staff who was able to program a key for me (I showed up without an appointment initially), but the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! They told me exactly when to come back to the store later on the week and who to ask for. I came in as instructed and the woman who helped me the first time around remembered who I was and greeted me warmly. We joked around for a bit as the gentleman who programs keys helped other customers. As soon as he was available he called me over and got straight to work figuring out what I needed. They were short staffed, which he was very upfront about, and gave me a realistic timeline in which he could help me get a new key programmed- that day was no good (again, I just walked in, no appointment yet!) so he asked what my best availability was to come back in. He got together everything I would need for my key, and we set up an appointment. I paid that day so when I showed up two days later for the programming it would be smooth sailing. Day of the appointment I couldn't make it personally but, Greg, the guy who has been helping, me said it would be fine to send someone over with the car and he would still get it taken care of. He was completely free for the noon appointment we made and had both of the keys I purchased programmed in around 35-40 minutes. I highly recommend this place, they were very kind and efficient. I would absolutely go again!

They have work clothes, power and hand tools, pet supplies, auto and tractor parts, and a great many other things. Staff is friendly and helpful. I like to buy my wood stove pellets here.

My preferred stop for hardware in the area. It's store size doesn't require a guide or hydration equipment. It's staff are helpful. It's prices comparable to other places such as Home Depot or Lowe's. Plus they have a Good Humor Ice Cream bin near the register. Get some frozen goodies on the way out.

My go to place for hard to find hardware items. Friendly and never pushy staff makes every visit a pleasure. If they don't have it they will help you find it. Like you sold country store a little of everything.Had been there earlier in the season for a replacement shovel handle, but they didn't have them. Imagine my surprise today when they had a variety of handles in stock. Love my Ace Hardware!Went by today and they are expanding into the next space with fireplace, BBQ and much much more!

Good parking. Really nice clean store with great staff to assist in most all hardware needs. The ease of getting in & out can be worth the slightly higher prices. Very good to excellent place to have large Glass & Plexiglas requirements completed. A very nice store to at least visit to get good understanding as to convenience, pricing & range of products available. I was not able to get window glaze tape there (which is so much cleaner & easier than caulk), so had to find on line. Good bird feeder, houses & feed supplies & most common household hardware in smaller very clean store. NICE!

A great local team with a store that has all the items you need and the rest can be ordered and delivered for pick up in a day or two.Lots of specials and a great selection of bird feeding supplies. If you like the Carhartt line of clothing this is the place. It is amazing how they manage to pleasantly displays and sell almost any yard tool you can imagine.No hiking across vast expanses of asphalt covered with litter and fleets of contractors vehicles. Park a few feet from the entrance that is equipped with an auto opening and closing doorway.

More expensive than the other two big box hardware stores, but the staffs are friendly, accessible, knowledgeable, and want to help! It's well worth the small price differences for the reduction in searching time plus many great tips the staff will provide you with.

I placed an order online for two lawn chairs and a lawn table. This store was supposed to be completing that delivery. I was told that due to the size of the items I had to be home to sign for the package, so I stayed home all day on the day of the scheduled delivery just to be stood up without even a phone call. The next day, rather than an apology or a new delivery date, I was sent an email that my table wouldn't be arriving at all, again with no explanation. I tried calling this store and was ignored repeatedly. It took several online associates calling the store themselves, and one staying on hold for over 20 minutes just to finally speak to a representative from this store named Kevin. Kevin told the Açe representative, who told me, that they would now be waiting an additional 3 days to deliver my items. I was also assured that if this changed they would call me directly. Today was the new delivery day, so again, I made sure to stay home to sign for the package. Sure enough, Kevin & friends stood me up again with no call or explanation. This time not even Ace representatives could get in touch with the location, so for the time being I have no clue when my items are arriving, just that I have to stay home for who knows how long in case they finally do and I need to sign for them. I'd say this is bad customer service, but that would imply that there's been any service at all.*edit*I thought they couldn't get worse, and I was wrong. Last night, the Ace representative who I spoke to assured me that they would leave a note for the store telling them to call me today before noon to confirm with me that they would finally be delivering my order. Again, this store stood me up. I had to go through customer service, who again, could not get in touch with the store. After 2 hours I finally made contact with the manager, who was extremely dismissive. First he told me that my order was delayed because they didn't have the items. If that's the case, why did they take my money and tell me for over a week that my items were coming and to stay home in order to sign for them??? I pointed this out and the manager then told me that someone did try to call me today and left a message. I assured him that nobody attempted to reach out today or any other day, and that I had no voicemails. His only response was "well I guess they got the wrong number". Not only have I given my number to multiple Ace representatives, but it is attached to my order, so there is no excuse. Still no delivery, and I'm still waiting. All around, I am so disappointed, and beyond frustrated that I've had to go out of my way to get service for over a week, with no apology or even a refund for a delivery fee. Not even the manager seemed to care.

Great product offering. The store is laid out well and has unique offerings that a lot of other large chain stores (Lowes and Home Depot) do not have. Great customer service with the exception of the woman who typically works the front desk (Sarah). She is cold and rude. Definitely not what I found with the personalities of the rest of the staff. I'll go to another ACE in the future but not this one anymore.
