First let me say that it has taken me almost a week to post this review.My dogs recently got groomed at this location and although the groomers were very nice and pleasant to speak with. I had some issues.Now with full transparency, I know that dogs sometimes do not cooperate while being groomed. And I do not expect perfection, they arent show dogs. But I do expect decent haircuts for $93! But the cuts my dogs received were terrible! The worst they have ever had. My dogs have "beards" and each one came home with one side longer than the other. Same with their eyebrows. There were tufts of long hair all over their chests, legs, and ears. One of my dogs, it looked like they forgot to put the guard on the clippers, they have an extremely short spot on the side of their face. I didn't say anything at first in case the groomer was new and was still perfecting their craft. But recently, I came to realize she is not new from a neighbor of mine who told me she was there when she used to bring her dog there. Which changed things for me.Now Let's talk time management.My dogs appointments were scheduled for 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30. They were dropped off at 9:15.I stopped in at 2pm, since I was going past anyway, and I was told they weren't done. My husband stopped in around 3pm and checked on them when he stopped to get dog food, they weren't done.Finally at 4:45pm, I told my husband, I was going to get the dogs. This was long enough. When I got there at 5:00pm only 2 of my dogs were ready. The 3rd one was still on the table getting groomed. They were there almost 8 hours! Never has it taken that long to groom my dogs! And we have been going to Petco since we got them. This is the 2nd Petco we have brought them to. And sadly, I think it's going to be the last.

Google the answers you need instead of asking for help so you can go in for what you're looking for and get out. Just had the most bizarre experience with misinformation with the manager. Store is neatly kept but they intentionally duck helping people. I was waiting for someone to return to the fish and a guy was looking around checkout for 10+ minutes. Found the associate who was supposed to get the manager, the manager was hiding in the far aisle across whispering if I was the woman in another set of women they were ignoring (who eventually left when they couldn't get help). Half the beta fish were DEAD. Please do better.And prices are soooo much cheaper online. Please ask for a price match or order pickup.Lastly, I was in the area and arrived before my pickup order was ready so I started pulling the items (all fully stocked). An employee started my order after I left due to the issues above and marked half of my pickup order as unavailable. 💀

I really enjoyed my experience at Petco. I researched what I needed before I went and that was important because the price in the store didn't match the online price for my town's store. Therefore I was so pleased when I showed the cashier the listing on my phone and she said oh okay! And change the price in the computer. Then I asked about the price of getting my dogs toenails clipped and the price was wonderful and she said I could walk right in and make an appointment.Then, I had left my phone on the counter at check out and the cashier actually ran outside and notified me that I didn't have my phone. All in all a wonderful visit to Petco

My only interaction with am associate was the cashier and she was very polite and pleasant. My disappointment was with t stocking of the shelves. I was looking to purchase a crate for my new pup but had a very hard time finding the correct pricing due to merchandise being a total mess. Items were not where they belonged. In most cases there were multiple price stickers on the shelves themselves that were small and I had to spend time trying to find the pricing on what I wanted. Several isles were congested making it hard to navigate the store as well.

I was extremely disappointed with my pup's grooming she received from Hailey. I have a long haired shih tzu with straight with a slight wave hair. Upon arrival, two groomers did a check on my girl's fur and did not specify that she was matted at all. The groomer actually said they could comb her out with no problem. I go to collect my pup and pay prior to seeing her, I was extremely disappointed with how poorly brushed out she was. She has a collection of mats on her back legs that could've been brushed or thinned out prior to washing. I came back home and re-washed and brushed her out with no issues. I hope the groomer gets the proper training, she was very sweet. Just needs extra supervision before taking on solo grooming.

It is with pure sadness that I write this review. No matter when I arrive, the Clinton store looks like this. I keep giving them a chance, but it never fails. I've watched other people walk through the front door, be in total disgust and turn around to leave as well. I've contacted corporate to file a complaint about the improvements needed, as the residence in Clinton deserve much better service. If you visit the Upper Marlboro location you would be appalled at how underserved we are from the Clinton store. I hope that if you too are not please, don't just complain and accept mediocracy. Complain to corporate. Unlike Petsmart, Petco only takes calls which could be ignored...interesting.

Wonderful place to visit for dogs and cats, I’m a very big animal person, they have a nice selection of freshwater and saltwater fish which is very surprising so if you all like finding Nemo they have a assortment of them which is very rare and cool

I went looking for fish food and found Bug Bite sticks which had disapeared! I was so shocked to find them at this store I bought both backs they had on the shelf! I was so happy because I have tow Jail Bird fish and they love them! THANK YOU Petco!!!

The tanks where leaking both puffer fish they have have bad ick all of the clown fish had no anatomies in their tank they have axolotls are in warm water. Leopard geckos are on Sand witch normally gets them impacked and they die. Oh and there's dead fish on the floor

Has everything any other Petco has as far as supplies. Friendly helpful staff. Smelled of dog pee in the landing but I guess that could be a bit expected

The cashier wouldn't give me a bag for the item i purchased. She gave me the receipt and the item in my hand like i didn't need it. She was very unprofessional. I feel like I might go shopping elsewhere for my pets needs from now on.

So my experience with was great I love my puppy hair cut she had her bows on her sooo adorable. I even tipped Ms.Ashley. Now the heartbreak didn’t come until I got home to really look at her baby leg. Now before she gave me my baby she ask did she have a scar maybe under her hair that you probably didn’t notice or have she been picked at her leg I said no not that a no of I said when looked at her last night she did have her head down there but she licks her private are. Now she is still over the counter, holding Zoey. Yes she held her up to show me I’m thinking it’s just a little red like her skin was irritated now they other lady said just get her some Neosporin she will be fine. Now I can’t see the indside of her leg. I dropped her off to my son. I go to get neosporin and chick fil A. I’m in the line for the food my son calls what’s wrong with her why she laying around at my feet like this. She been at the groomer since early this morning she may be sleepy. Then I said did she eat her food a little so I said a little or very little he said very little. So now it’s starting to register I ask him to look at the inside of her leg now my son is very dramatic but when I saw my baby leg and a whole thuck piece of her skin is missing. A little hole in her leg I mean she got her she got her good. I’m pissed because she asked me as if it was already there. Full aware accident happen but be freaking honest. I called the vet she said come in between this time and I emailed her picture she called me back told me come in 9:30 when they open so I’m sure she is going to need stitches

Utter disappointment after years of being a customer to Petco - Vetco. The service is declining. No matter time your appointment is made for a visit, you will stand in line. Absolutely no communication and clear instructions from the mobile clinic and the store to direct patients. The vet is great, but my last visit was an eye opening. Disagreement between vet and the assistant was very vocal during the visit. As a patient, I do not need to know what is/has been going on in Vetco and its company system.The assistant was running the show, and focus more on non related medical matter.If you have bring more than 1 pet at a time, please ask them to confirm the name of the vaccination as my youngest almost got the oldest vaccination.The last strike for me is I was asked to revisit the vet for prescription although I have just brought my dogs for annual check up 2 months ago. While they clearly stated prescription would be attached to the summary visit, and I clearly stated during check in that I would like a prescription. This was not the case.Since I would have to pay a visit to get the prescription that I should have had, I would bring my 3 dogs somewhere else.
