Probably the best vegan selection outside of mom's organic & whole foods.Vegan hot bar is good!Most items from the bakery department is affordable and delicious I got my daughters bday cake here one year.They cater to all diets ❤Also there's a completely vegan restaurant next door and the staff is always helpful.

A bunch of vegan options and specialty items. But speaking from experience let's just say things can add up quickly if you're not careful. Great sales when things are on sale but some stuff can be a smidge high but they have some items you're just not going to find elsewhere. So you're going to pay for it. Even the per gallon water is higher then everyone else's. With that said, if you go in with a plan you'll be fine but if you start picking up everything that looks interesting your bill will astonish you. Trust me I know from experience. They have the biggest selection of vegan baked goods that you'll find in any supermarket, that's including whole foods. I've been going for years and I'll continue to check them out when I'm out that way.

I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I like the store because it has very fresh produce and interesting grocery items. I found frozen red tart cherries! Nobody even has canned ones this time of year, much less fresh frozen. I've given Christmas gifts of a surprise box of eclectic and interesting items found here, and my siblings loved it. It is fun to explore!I do wish everything were 10 or 15% less so they were more competitive with larger groceries.

The staff were all so helpful, friendly, and gave very positive energy. This store is very clean & well stocked, which allowed me to get the items I was looking for. You can also get great cooked food here. Wonderful neighborhood gem that we all need to support!

Best vegan market, tied for first with MOMs. The hot bar is great, the selection of groceries is just as impressive. I love dropping by and grabbing some snacks and meals when I'm in the area

Great atmosphere and selection of goods; far more diverse / less homogenous crowd than other conventional grocery stores.The selection of allergen-friendly baked goods is unparalleled in the area (especially plant based / vegan and gluten free) and the staff, very helpful.They tend to have a lot of new items first (well before Whole Foods Market) so it's also a good place to go to try things before they become mainstream.The only request I have is for them to up the quality of their produce (to that of Mom's Organic's standard) and, carry Coracao raw chocolate and Santosha raw chocolate.Root's is definitely worth a stop over if you're passing through the area and, worth adding to your regular weekly routine if you live in the area.

Love coming here - they have a lot of speciality items I can't find anywhere else and their prices are reasonable. They also have a ton of vegan options - especially baked goods and treats which keep me coming back.

They had the tart cherries, which few stores carry. For gym rats, tart cherries help to reduce muscle soreness and fatigue. Loads of other goodies here like kale salad seasoned with Braggs. The organic oral care items they have are top notch. And I found a date here, lol...not really just a chocolate covered date spread. I love eating healthy!!!

I ordered the vegan holiday catering food… wow it was insanely good. The panko crusted chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy was miraculous. And the pumpkin pie ooo weee was it outstanding. Best place for vegan food that for sure..

It was my first time shopping here. Came here to buy my favorite cone ice cream, and I also found a goat milk brand that I never try before, this was really a bonus surprise for a goat milk lover. Everything was so nice here and also the cashier, I didn’t know her name but her smile really made my day.

I'm been going to Roots Market now for over 10 years & still loving it! Today I went to get my favorite Bubbies Spicy Sauerkraut and it was even on sale $2.00 off! I love the packaged Fresh Salmon and the whole Produce Dept. We only get our Fresh Tickling Springs organic Milk & Creams from Roots Market. My absolute favorite Cashier is Aminah Ca. She's amazing!I love going on Wednesday to get my Senior Citizens discount☺️

Vegan desert catering/custom bakery orders are amazing! So far the doughnuts, cakes, and cookies I've ordered or tried taste wonderful! Great quality! Friends and family enjoyed the deserts a lot!

I'm a big fan of the Roots brand. I usually go to the Clarksville location because it's right around the corner from my office. But I've made it to this location a few times and both are great. The stores are consistent in selection and customer service.Roots carries a lot of great vegan cheese brands that are hard to find elsewhere. Additionally I love their prepared food buffet, in house made peanut butter, dried fruit and baked goods.The prices are on the higher end. But they have great deals and sales if you follow them on social media.Parking is easy.

I absolutely love roots market. I can always find everything I need. This Market is always squeaky clean and has the most helpful staff. I especially love seeing my favorite cashier Sharon. Best market for vegan food hands down. They have options I have never come across which is always a plus when options are still scarce in the area. The store is on the smaller side but it is fitting to the lifestyle. It is very clean and orderly and you can find things very easily. Produce is always fresh and to date which can be an issue for many organic grocers. They have a nice rewards program that gives good discounts.

One of my favorite natural markets! Nice selection of fresh, organic produce. Someone is always available to answer questions or help you find things. I only wish their senior discount hours were not so narrow as I cannot always make it there on Wednesday between 10 & 3.

I have shopped at Roots for a very long time and this store has really gone downhill. Everything is way overpriced, especially compared to Sprouts market.Their meat selection is terrible so it doesn't make sense for me to shop here anymore because I have to go somewhere else to get the meat I need so I might as well just shop elsewhere for everything.They don't even carry wild-caught salmon, it's all farm-raised "sustainable." 🤮The only reason I gave them two stars is because they do have a decent produce section and every once in a while I stop here for odds and ends, but it's like a ghost town every time I'm here, they're clearly not very busy and it's so obvious why.

Fantastic selection of vegan foods! They also carry organic and gluten free products, but I, admittedly, paid much less attention those. The prices were lower than I had expected from such a specialty store. They have a really fantastic selection of vegan baked goods. I tried the oatmeal creme pie and a slice of cheesecake (both vegan), both of which were excellent.

This is far and away the best place to shop for plant based groceries. Their prepared foods are head over heels better than Whole Foods, in terms of using organic ingredients and having vegan items. It took me over 5 years till I finally got to Roots. I really wished I had gone much earlier. They have the best selection of vegan cheese I have ever seenIf you want baked goods that are both vegan and gluten free, they have a surprisingly good selection. Their salad bar has things like vegan versions of chicken salad, tuna salad and potato salad. I always find new plant based groceries that I haven't seen before... It's s really fun place to shop.

Well stocked and generally fresh. Very good customer service. But paying 10-50% more for the same items I can get at Moms, Sprouts, Whole Foods and to a lesser extent HarrisTeeters is the reason why I can't give them a higher star rating. Picking my spots requires little effort.

I like to cook/bake with high quality - and sometimes uncommon - ingredients. Roots carries most of the things I need. As a part-time vegan baker, I've been impressed by their desserts. They do a great job making vegan desserts taste just like the real thing. I always come back for their sticky buns and pecan pie when in season.

I cannot express how much I love this store. It's like vegan heaven. I live in DC and don't have a car, but I will make special trips to Roots whenever I have the chance. They have everything you could think of from vegan ice cream cakes to easily 20 different kinds of vegan yogurt. I wish they would open up a location in DC! There's definitely demand for it.

Their produce selection is so fresh and organic. Their selection for prepared food on the go is great as well. Best of all, their reverse osmosis water for 41 cents per gallon. This place is heaven for health fanatics and vegan eaters. I also recommend checking out their branch resturant next door, the Great Sage. Great atmosphere, great people

Excellent vegan food bar and cold options! Like a Whole Foods meets a food co-op. Good selection of high quality foods but very quaint. People with dairy, gluten, or egg allergies and vegans and vegetarians alike will love this place. If you like quality real food this is a great store to visit if you're around.

I love shopping here when I'm in the area. The best grocery for vegan options and bakery items!! They have it all! Friendly staff goes a long way as well! I wish they had more locations or a store in Virginia.
