I adopted my new cat “Penny” formerly known as “ Puff”, exactly one week ago today, and her and I have been getting along so well! She has made herself right at home and I am so thankful for her!There aren’t enough good things to say about all the staff I came into contact with on my adoption day, I was very informed on each cat I visited, given very detailed records for Penny when the adoption process was complete. The whole process was a breeze from the start to finish! Highly recommend this facility if you’re considering adoption in your future! Thanks again for connecting me with my new furry friend!

Brought in a young, pregnant feral cat this morning. The staff were friendly and accommodating . Page gave me my first tour of this impressive facility and she was very informative. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication! P.S. Look for this sweet little kitty named Bestie and her soon to be babies.

Almost 4 months ago we adopted Rollo (now named Rookie) from this shelter and had a great experience! The people are very kind and helpful and care about you making the best choice. I asked all kinds of questions and the young lady we worked with answered everything I wanted to know. Rookie (Rollo) was reserved when we met him, wasn’t interested in toys, and seemed a little unsure of everything. I think it’s safe to say he has come out of his shell. He loves cuddling, playing with toys, running around chasing critters out in the back yard. We are to grateful and thankful for the shelters help and abs thankful to have Rookie with us 💕

This is a world class facitiy that doesn't euthanise unclamed dogs and cats. The food is great and so is the service.

Granddaughter is very interested in learning to train dogs. They have a young volunteer program. Building is small but every inch is used to best serve the many animals. Always a welcoming place.

I traveled from NJ to adopt a wonderful little dog from the Human Society of Kent County. This place is a gem. The people are fabulous, they are caring and they work hard to place the animals they end up with. Please consider adopting and/or donating to this amazing organization.

Took two cats in on saturday. Found them but i work too much and these cats destroy my house. I can't keep anything nice. I feel like a prisoner in my own home. I took these cats in so maybe someone else could give them a nice home. But the young lady who waited on me was extremely rude and unhelpful. Said i had to make an appointment, it does not say anything like that on the web page. I told her that if she didn't take them i was going to put them out on the side of the road. She said she did'nt care walked away. Of course i didn't, but it just shows the attitude of this rude person.

My grandfather was unable to care for his dogs so my uncle unwillingly dropped them off here. I came to the shelter immediately asking to adopt them once they received their shots. I filled out my application and was promised the dogs once they were spayed and received their rabies shots. My kids were so excited that they were getting Poppop’s dogs back. A few days later I was on my way down to pick them up and I was informed by phone that they had already adopted them out without my consent. I never received a phone call from them that the dogs were ready to be adopted out or that they have had their shots as promised. These pups were a part of the family and these people didn’t care to think about the pain I had to experience telling my son that Poppop’s dogs were gone. The owner didn’t even seem to care as I cried helplessly on the phone.

The people who work there are wonderful. Some even volunteer on weekends when no one else is available to simply take good care of the animals. This is a very worthwhile organization!
