If your job is to watch self checkout then be at your post. You shouldn’t be of lolli gagging while my register light has been flashing my whole order and you saw it and still walked off. Then come back and is a smart mouth. 3/22 at 1pm. Do your job or get more real cashiers so I don’t have to do your job! Not the first time of dealing with rude old women here. Save yourself a headache and go to Foodlion!

This is one of the best Safeways I have been to and I have visited many. They have a huge selection of grocery items and pretty much every brand your looking for. Fresh seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables can be found here and all are great quality. They have a nice deli counter and the bakery is awesome. There is a cafe area for sitting if you want to eat your meal right there. There is a Pharmacy located at the rear of the store and has great hours. You can accumulate safeway fuel discounts to use at the gas station located on the other side of the parking lot. Need flowers...yes the have plenty and usually a florist there to help you out for those special occasions. If you havent been there, I recommend you stop in and check them out.

I thought this place was great. Now I hate it. Every time I shop there I get ripped off. Today Shrimp was $7.00 off. Not so. I got 1 but paid full price for 2. This happens often. Thank you for reading this, Safeway does not.

A lot is available there. Sometime very good some others time not so much. Yet offering is abundant. Prices are very changeable and some time not really making sense. Check what you are charged as sometime there is a disconnect between posted prices and what is charged at the cashier. People at Safeway are usually very nice. Overall is a good place to shop.

It's a clean store but the prices are high and there is always a wait at the pharmacy. I use the pharmacy and the staff are wonderful but they need to figure out a way to make the line move along. The meat and produce selection are perfect.

Really expensive and some of the nearby convenience stores have better prices. Make sure to check expiration dates.... many times I noticed the expensive food I bought was expired. There is usually only 1 cashier even though there is a lot of cash registers but no employees. Makes me wonder.

I use the pharmacy n in the past few months I've had issues with one gentleman... always having to wait on scripts n this last script had to wait 2weeks to get it filled. Was told beginning of Feb. I called on the 1st told it's ready, I explained I would be there to pick it up on the 3rd in the morning. Was told no problem.. it was ready.. I get there n the gentleman put it back in stock.. at this point I believe it either a racial thing or personal thing... either way I won't be doing any business with Kent safeway ever again

Ok store overall, the employee energy is so unwelcoming. You could ask how someone is doing or just say hi and get no response and a dirty look. Don’t even bother doing so. But besides that no reason to avoid this safeway

This Safeway location had the Moderna bivalent vaccine in stock. The online appointment scheduling process was well-organized and super easy to navigate. The Staff at the Pharmacy was very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. The entire process was quick and easy. Highly recommend this Pharmacy for any vaccination related services.

Prices higher than other stores but my last experience at the deli with 'Kevin'- he was very helpful and friendly but only after I left the store that I was contacted telling me he was bad mouthing me in a BAD way. I spend hundreds of dollars at Safeway every week but I'm honestly now shopping at Food Lion

A touch pricey, but great selection, best produce section around. Some nice employees, some not so nice. I've heard many stories of people finding very expired food, but haven't had the experience myself. But I don't shop there as frequently as Food Lion, due to my living in Centerville. Love the self checkouts, salad and soup bars, deli, exotic foods, etc.

Since there is a new manager at the Chester Safeway store I have noticed a big change. The story is cleaner and the atmosphere is cleaner I believe the employees. I know I am much happier shopping there.

Seems like almost every time I shop here there needs to be a price correction, the produce isn’t exactly the freshest, and prices are much higher than just off the island.

A bright, clean, friendly, well-stocked place. The store has beautiful green grocer section plus lots of flowers. They've got a butcher you can actually talk to... and fresh seafood as well. The selection on the shelves and in the freezer section is very good, and the club prices great. I also like the Starbucks here. I just wish they had a nice place to sit down.

Everything is always overpriced but they doubled the prices on pre made side dishes for the holidays. Great cakes& bagels, bad pies, mediocre cookies. Most of the pre-packaged deli meats and bakery goods have passed expiration. And I got a package of crab cakes this past Christmas that should have been labeled “fishy-like patties.” But the staff is friendly and they have a good selection, that’s what brings me back…

The store layout is nice. The produce looked good, as did the meats and cheeses we were buying. One suggestion (from this Southerner who was here visiting).... Service with a smile would go a long way in making the shopping experience a more enjoyable one. The folks whi were working all seemed to be preoccupied, or unhappy being there.

The groceries are fine and the store is nice, bright and clean... But their insistence on only having one or two checkouts open is crazy. I get cutting cost, but if you're only going to have one non-express checkout open at least Have the self checkouts turned on and open.

Best selection for the best price. $80 a week is all I spend for a vegan low sodium diet. If your complaint is "Prices are too high".. Then you seriously need to ask customer service for a Safeway Club Card and take advantage of the great deals and savings. This is one of the nicest stores I've been to. Overall the store is okay. We all know Safeway's prices are higher than other grocery stores in the area, so I won't take that into consideration with this review. The selection of food is pretty good. Overall the majority of the staff are plentiful and friendly. However, I've had bad interactions with one specific employee twice now. In my opinion, as a member of customer service, that is just unacceptable. I now avoid going to her register at all costs when I'm there.

I go here often for Instacart. Never had bad service, Bre the young lady on the cashier is awesome and understanding to gig workers. The front end manager always seems to be full of positive energy

I love the fresh fruit containers of cut watermelon, pineapple with kiwi, and strawberries with kiwi. This is a summer staple for my family. The store was clean and well stocked. I felt very comfortable shopping there, in spite of the pandemic. Safeway appeared to have followed CDC guidelines quite carefully and successfully.

Very clean and organized store. The staff were beyond helpful. Service came along with a smile. They offer a wide variety of goods. I don't regularly shop here because it is not close to home. But have always got what I needed when I have visited. Prices are fair with good deals.
