Heidi is THE ABSOLUTE BEST dog trainer!!! I would highly recommend her without hesitation. I initially hired her to work with my GSD Steeler and me and then rehired her when I got my second GSD, Gucci. GSDs are super smart and also extremely headstrong and challenging. They both responded to Heidi immediately. She is extremely knowledgeable, understands how dogs think and truly loves dogs! I’ve had numerous other trainers before Heidi and she is by far THE Best of the Best! She has three dogs, George, Roxy and Pepper and uses them in training if and when appropriate for your dog(s). She also uses the highest quality of treats when training which I appreciated because my dogs deserve the best. My dogs and I absolutely love Heidi and I plan to continue to work with her. Heidi was fantastic helping us with our out of control puppy! Walks were a true “chore” and not fun at all…. Our first session with Heidi showed us how to “lead” her rather than the opposite! She uses local stores as training opportunities. After all our sessions we have a great pup!

If you are looking for a trainer to empower you to train your own dog, Heidi is the trainer for you. From day 1 she gave us the tools to communicate with our stubborn dog and taught us how to reward Tillie when she did what we wanted. Not only did she teach us basic commands but she also taught us the sign language associated with those commands so we could teach those to our deaf dog. Heidi even meet with us at some local pet stores with one of her own dogs to help us work with Tillie in public. Highly recommend her!

Heidi offered virtual training which worked well for me and our new dog. However, she came to my house for the last session to give us training advice on my other dogs reactivity to people coming into my home. I was impressed on how she handled his reactive and aggressive behavior. Through the years I have used other trainers and while all have been effective, I appreciated how Heidi taught me about dog behavior and looked at the big picture between our new dog and our other 2 dogs. She incorporated many progressions to each command to make it more challenging for my dog and to keep it stimulating for her. It takes a good team to effectively train a dog and I'm glad Heidi is on my team!

Heidi is great! She helped us transform our two rescue dogs into calm and happy pups, and they both had opposite issues so it was quite the job. One dog was timid and scared of everything and the other was just crazy. Haha. She helped us so we could help the dogs and it is like night and day now to when we started. Heidi has been professional, knowledgable, and responsive even before we formally hired her to help us train our one year old rescue cocker spaniel. We learned so much at each session and were able to immediately apply her training and our dog's behavior improved with each day. Her training is very reasonably priced and we now have a calm, well-behaved pup in most situations. Heidi was an absolute joy to work with. I have a 9 month old pup who loves to jump on people. This was unacceptable so I contacted Heidi to come train me and the pup. On her first trip to the house she stood at the door for 23 minutes waiting for all 3 of my dogs to calm down. I figured she would tell me that I had the worst dogs in the world and just walk away. To my surprise she had my 9 month old (Dayci) and my 2 year old, (Woody)under her spell in a very short time. She ended up training both Dayci and Woody for 9 visits. My 3 rd.dog (Peanut) was just the supervisor during this process. He would come out for treats occasionally, but for the most part he just watched. After 9 visits my dogs are much better behaved. I am definitely going to call her again, as there is so much more we need to learn. She is a lifesaver and I definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help with their fur babies.

I adopted Izzie (formally known as Panda) from the AWL without the full disclosure of her history. She REALLY did NOT LIKE OTHER DOGS!! She LOVES people - especially kids. But I soon realized we both needed training and someone who is consistent and doesn’t mess around. The grooming place gave me Heidi Miller’s name. They were exactly right to do so! Heidi is consistent which is what all dogs (and people) need. I was amazed that she came to our house - which makes sense you want someone to train in their own environment. Heidi also needed to see what we deal with throughout the day (lots of dogs!) Once the basic training was complete, we worked on socializing Izzie. It was a long process with a fake dog and graduated to a real dog! Izzie has gone from barking furiously in attack mode to having a K9 best friend. They play together in Heidi’s backyard and take walks together side by side with a little bumper car action. Lol. When I walk her in our neighborhood now she is non reactive to other dogs. Heidi has given me the tools to give Izzie a happy well rounded life. I could not be happier with the change in my girl! Thank you so much Heidi!! We could not have done it without you!!

We decided late last year that it was time for a pup to add some fun and youth to our lives, but we had forgotten how much work they can be. Then came Heidi to the rescue! What we didn't realize that it wasn't really our pup that needed training, it was us! Dogs do what makes you happy, as long as you can show them correctly. Heidi came to us, at a time convenient for us, and Boomer LOVED her, as did we. There were so many things we learned, and those skills have made life with a young lab the best it can be. Heidi was amazingly patient and helpful with Whiskey. She showed us what we needed to do to help him be a better dog. When we started he was off the wall and we were at a loss as to what to do to help him. She showed us the tools and was super patient and kind to him. He loved the days when she would come.
