Quick to fill my prescriptions. You can input your refill online or bring it in, and they'll fill it asap if it's in stock. Little to no waiting usually. Very good stock of medical items, medicine, and other drug store items. You can rent medical items like wheel chairs and things from them. Great and friendly staff and service. Not open on Sundays, which is fine with me. I'm glad they have time with their family. Not a big chain pharmacy. (A plus for me)

Twice, I have gone to pick up a prescription, I call first, machine says it’s ready. I go on my 30 minute lunch break and it’s on back order. No phone call, nothing to let me know it would take up to 12 days to get it filled. It’s Friday, my doctors office is closed, I cannot talk to someone until Monday to get it sent somewhere else that could fill it. Do better Tidewater, it’s not that hard to pick up a phone. I am thankful it is not heart medication or something more serious…

The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that my prescriptions get filled relatively quick. The customer service is awful though. The staff is always so incredibly rude to me when I call. Just last month I called to get a refill and after she got my RX number she said ok and hung up. No goodbye, nothing. I had follow up questions that I didn’t get to ask. I am never rude to these people in any way yet I’m never met with any type of kindness from them.

If you're tired of your pharmacist not knowing your name. The other pharmacies in town your just a number. They were able to help me get my situation resolved. Sadly my insurance didn't cover the medication but the medication was cheaper than most of my co-pays so they saved me money is a blast...Little stuff like this makes a difference

My family and i have been patients at Joe's pharmacies (Tidewater Drug and Health, Family Meds and Accokeek Health and Drug) for almost 20 years now. I stayed with them because he and his staff have always been kind and helpful. When insurance issues or other problems arise, they have ALWAYS gone above and beyond, taking the time and making the effort to advocate on our behalf instead of just handing a prescription back and saying sorry, check with your Dr or insurance. We've appreciated that becuz so many big store pharmacies do exactly that and it gets frustrating if you don't understand all that insurance stuff. Joe and his staff truly care about their patients and it shows.

Got tired of the runaround at the chain drugstore in Mechanicsville — e.g. prescription not yet filled two days after I had called it in and no explanations as to why. Was so happy to find this pharmacy. They put customer service first. I get to talk to kind, caring people now; no more roboline or waiting for someone to come to the counter.

I am so grateful for this pharmacy. I needed an emergency prescription filled for my dog and after calling some of the big name pharmacies in the area I reached out to Tidewater. They immediately answered the phone and gave a cost much lower than what I was quoted from the other pharmacies. The prescription was filled in under 10 minutes. The staff was so friendly and courteous and I cannot thank them enough for their help today. I will be switching my personal prescriptions over and I would strongly encourage others to do the same.

Stopped by rhis morning to have some prescriptions filled. The staff were great and had the prescriptions filled while I was getting some other items. No "we'll call when they are ready". Great service. I'll be returning. Thanks again.

Every time I walk into Tidewater they have been helpful and friendly. They have been able to take care of every request, the people at the front desk are always eager to help, and the pharmacist is very knowledgeable. It’s a great neighborhood pharmacy that we prefer over the chains.
